A Ray of Sunshine On A Beautiful Spring Day!

Welcome to the 758th Tablescape Thursday! I’m currently visiting family and it has turned cold again! I jokingly told my son and DIL that their weather hates me because it was in the 70s just before I arrived and goes back up to the 70s the day after I leave. Hope you are seeing some sunshine and warmer temps where you live!

Recently I heard from Norma, who lives in the south of France. Norma said, “I am sending you a recent tablescape that I shared with friends. It is a very early Easter one!”

Spring Easter Table Setting in Green and Yellow, Bunny Plates

Norma’s beautiful, yellow-banded dinnerware is from Williams Sonoma and the smaller floral plate is by Queen Anne bone china. The smaller plate is the perfect size for bread or an appetizer.

The design of these plates makes the bunnies look so realistic! Love!

I keep meaning to add a set of gold flatware to my flatware collection. Norma’s looks great in this spring-Easter setting!

The brown rattan chargers are such a pretty contrast against the yellow. I love how they provide such a great base/foundation for each place setting.

Sooo many cute bunnies! You can never have too many bunnies, especially in a spring-Easter table!

About this adorable brown bunny, Norma said, “It was originally a terrine containing rabbit paté. I must have bought it 30 years ago in the UK.! It is by Richard Gaugant and you still see them on eBay occasionally. They also make duck ones.”

Thanks so much to Norma for sharing this wonderful spring table setting! It is truly a beautiful ray of sunshine on this chilly Ohio day! Looking forward to all the beautiful tables linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

Very lovely table. Yellow is one of my favorite colors. The table settings is what really attracted me to this group. Unfortunately, I want almost every set of dishes. Ha ha. So hard to control not buying them as I do not have enough places to store them.

Very pretty and the eggs are spectacular!!!

  3. I would love it if Norma would share a tutorial about how to make her eggs!

    • Hello Cathy
      This is Norma from France
The eggs are quite easy to make, but they do take quite !
They are a styrofoam egg shapes which I then cover with scraps of pretty delicate fabric which sometimes already have beads on them and then attaching more beads and little flowers shapes with very fine dressmakers pins. I hide any joins in the fabric with narrow braid.
It is not that difficult, but depending on how complicated you want to make it they take many hours, sometimes days to complete and it is quite fiddly.
      Hope this helps
      Kind regards
      Norma

      • Norma –

Thanks so much for the bejeweled egg tutorial!! I’ve copied your instructions so that I can attempt to make some for next year!

Have a blessed Easter!! – Cathy

    • Cathy, here’s a post I did a little while back sharing how Norma makes the beautiful ornaments that she makes for various occasions or holidays: https://betweennapsontheporch.net/handmade-christmas-ornaments-inspired-by-the-colors-of-a-beautiful-peacock/

      • Susan – thanks so much. I remember reading this Christmas post (after I read it again!)

  6. You have to watch The Piece Maker on the Magnolia channel. He paints puzzles and travels all over the world to make sure that they are accurate.

I just love all of the table scapes and beautiful china. Now, today I must get right down to business and plan MY Easter table. I got the best news this morning. My grandson let me in on a little secret: he IS coming home from college for the week-end but wants to surprise his parents and his Grandpa. I am the only one who knows that he will be here. I’d bet he let me in on the secret so that I would prepare his favorite foods! Happy Easter and Blessed Passover to all!

  9. OH those eggs are gorgeous! The bunny plates are darling too, and the whole table is so bright and happy! Thanks to you and Norma for sharing it. And thanks to you for hosting the party. Hope you have a lovely Easter with your family!

I love the Easter table. The rattan chargers and green cloth with all the bunnies remind me of Mr. McGreggor’s garden in Peter Rabbit. Happy Easter to you and yours. Thank you for the inspiration.

  11. Such a pretty spring table and the cutest bunny plates. The eggs are phenomenal. I echo that it’d be nice to see how Norma created them.

Love the Easter table by Norma, thank your sharing it. Now I’m on the hunt for a rabbit or duck terrine! Happy Easter to you and family.

  13. Norma’s table setting is gorgeous and so cheerful! I love her bunnies and bunny plates. How cute are they?!! Those beaded eggs are stunning and to think she made those! Love everything about her table setting. Was so nice here too, but temps are dropping now for a few days, then back to the 70/80’s again. Really early for such wonderful temps, but I’m not complaining one bit. LOL Happy Easter Susan, enjoy the family! Hugs, Brenda
