We’re Visiting Sunnyland Bed & Breakfast For A Festive Summer Table Setting

Welcome to the 877th Tablescape Thursday! Kathryn, the lovely owner of Sunnyland Bed and Breakfast, created a beautiful table for summer.

Kathryn said, ” I put together a summery table, and if you add a flag, it would work for the 4th of July!”

Red, White and Blue Table Setting

Have you ever visited the Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile? Kathryn said, “We drove to Oklahoma over Memorial Day weekend and toured the ‘Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile and Lodge.”

Red, White, Blue Tablescape

Kathryn added, “The pitcher and salad plates are from her collection.” (Blue and white pitcher is available here: Blue & White Floral Pitcher.)

Red, White and Blue Floral Centerpiece

Beautiful salad plates! Kathryn found her pretty candle holders on Amazon. (Similar candle holders are available here: Candle Holders and here: Candle Holders.

Vintage Salad Plates

Kathryn found her cherry plates in HomeGoods. Amazingly, they are melamine. Kathryn said, “Vintage glasses were found at an antique store. I made the ‘cherry’ napkins. The flatware is also from HomeGoods, and it is plastic! All fun for summer!!!”

Cherry Themed Dinner Plates

Thanks so much to Kathryn for sharing this fun, patriotic table setting for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. Tablescapes are my FUN place. Very nice, Kathryn! franki

  2. I loved the simplicity and casualness of the table plus the pretty color combination of blue and red. Very fun. The cherry plates put the “cherry on top”! Literally! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Thanks for hosting!

  4. What a lovely fresh summer tablescape Kathryn set! Like Toni, I love the simplicity. Thanks to both of you for sharing, and to you for hosting, as always! Hope you’re having a fun week!

  5. No, I have never been to the Pioneer Woman’s mercantile, but I bet I would love it. That sounds like a fun trip.

This table reminds me of something I imagine you might have seen back in the 1940s or 1950s. The gingham tablecloth, the cherry plates and napkins, the vintage style candlesticks – all very sweet and homey. I really love those Cherry Plates. Thanks, Kathryn and Susan for sharing it.

  6. Thank you all for the lovely comments, and thank you Susan for sharing!

  7. Hi Susan. A bit off topic of this post, but I’m wondering if you know of a really good product to protect canvas handbags? You always source such great stuff, and I know if anyone could recommend something great, you could. Thank you.

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
