Ode to Summers Past: Tablescaping in Green

Welcome to the 621st Tablescape Thursday!

Green has always been my favorite color for as long as I can remember. When I think of Green, I think of spring and summer, beautiful gardens, forests walks, vibrancy and life. Every year when the calendar turns over to August, I always find myself wishing for the same thing: that summer wasn’t going by so fast.

I’m currently away from home, visiting family and helping with my grandsons, so I thought it would be fun to look back at a few of the tables I’ve put together these past 12 years in that beautiful color I love so much: Green!

Hope you enjoy this “Ode to Summers Past” collection of tables, all dressed out in beautiful shades of Green.

Tablescape Thursday

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.

That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.)

Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links.

Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

  1. Thanks Susan, I love seeing all your pretty tables from the past!

  2. They’re all so beautiful Susan – the greens are lovely on your table! It must be so nice to be back with your family. Hope you have a wonderful stay!

Thanks as always for hosting this great party, and Happy Thursday!

  3. This is a fun post–green is my fave as well. Loved the magnolia/lemon arrangement, especially with candlelight. I’ll make a reservation for that one!

Those were “the days” my friend, we thought they’d never end…franki

I loved all your green-centric table settings, especially the first one. I love green too and a couple of years ago when I started easing my home furnishings out of the green/red/gold Tuscan phase, I kept the green and added in ivory and taupes. It is so peaceful, but also so difficult to find much in green fabrics, accessories, pillows, etc. You would think with everyone (from politicians to interior designers) being interested in “green,” there would be an abundance of it, but there isn’t. I don’t understand it because it is such a natural color, with so many different shades.

  6. Susan, I would be hard-pressed to pick a favorite here as they are all gorgeous. I remember seeing those daisy plates on a previous post and thinking how beautiful they were. Seeing them again, I think they are just as beautiful as the first time of I saw them. So many beautiful details…

OMGosh Susan, green is my favorite too! I love these green table settings, they are so pretty. I also do the same thing when August rolls around, as I am not ready for summer to end. I love fall too, but that just means winter is right around the corner and that I don’t love as much. I mean I love the 4 seasons, but winter just lasts way to long for this ex southern gal! lol Have a great time with your family! Hugs, Brenda

  8. Thank you so much for hosting! This week I am sharing 15 of my favorite audiobooks, and our wall mural from a vintage fishing ad! Hope you are having a great week!

  9. Love them all but those Daisy dishes are my fav. Great vintage vibe. Thanks for the party.

    XO- MaryJo
