A Festive St. Patrick’s Day Birthday Celebration & Delicious Irish Cooking

Welcome to the 599th Tablescape Thursday!

I have the loveliest St. Patrick’s Day table to share with you for this week’s Tablescape Thursday! Phyllis hosted an early St. Patrick’s Day luncheon and tea for her 92 years old aunt, her aunt’s two daughters and daughter-in-law. Since Phyllis’s aunt is Irish, she knew she would enjoy a St. Patrick’s Day theme for this momentous birthday celebration.

Phyllis found her wonderfully green tablecloth in Kohls. She said that it may still be in stock this year. I found one at Kohl’s that is similar here: Shamrock Tablecloth. I also found another cute one here: St. Patrick’s Day Table Cloth.

The cute shamrock placemats were a find in Dollar Tree this year. Phyllis found the adorable luncheon plates that look so much like Belleek in Christmas Tree Shoppe last year. Sooo pretty! The gorgeous green glassware was a find in a local antique shoppe.

The gold flatware is so pretty against the green of the tablecloth!

Phyllis found the cute cauldrons and chocolate coins in Party City. She said they may also be available in Dollar Tree, too.

Phyllis said, “I don’t remember where I got the green hat planter, candle holders and shamrock napkin rings and napkins.  I’ve had them a long time.” I just love the planter, such a great centerpiece for a St. Paddy’s Day table! I see little leprechauns at the foot of each candle. 🙂

Phyllis found hr shamrock tea set in HomeGoods several years ago. It’s hallmarked Shannon by Godinger.

Phyllis prepared the most wonderful luncheon for this birthday celebration including Irish Soda Brad, Rueben Soup. Green Macaroni and Cheese and individual Shepherd’s Pies. Dessert was Pistachio Parfaits. Phyllis even served teas that fit with the Irish/St. Patrick’s Day theme.

Be sure and visit Phyllis’s blog, The Relevant Tea Leaf to see photos of all the wonderful dishes Phyllis prepared as well as the birthday girl who at the age of 92 is still bowling and beating everyone at it! I love that! I hope I’m still as fit at that age! #goals!

You’ll find Phyllis’s St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon/Tea post here: An Early St. Patrick’s Day Tea.

Thanks so much to Phyllis for letting me share this delightful St. Patrick’s Day birthday celebration for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

Thank you Susan for sharing Phyllis very festive St. Patrick’s Day table, it is lovely. I am also impressed with the love and honor bestowed upon her aunt and family, how very special. I visited her site and was thrilled that she is a Michigander like me! Lol. I sent her an email requesting that she share her Reuben soup with homemade rye croutons, but not sure that she received it but doesn’t it sound delish?! Happy St. Patrick’s day to all. ☘☘☘
