Welcome to the 854th Tablescape Thursday! If you’re not the biggest fan of cold weather, take heart! Once February arrives, I feel like we are over the hump and on the downhill slide toward spring now. Every winter here in the south, we’ll get a week where the temps are unusually warm, and we’re in it right now. It’s been in the 70s all week! I know the cold will return soon, but I am loving this little break, and the birds are too. They were singing their hearts out when I was outside filling the feeders this morning.
With the first day of spring just 44 days away, Brenda set the most beautiful springtime table for Valentine’s Day.
The beautiful china Brenda chose for her Valentine’s Day table is one I’ve never seen before, but it’s perfect for spring! It’s by Royal Albert and the pattern is “Blossom Time.” Are you familiar with this pattern?
Brenda said, “I found these dishes in a vintage store not long ago and I loved the pattern so much. Notice how when you put the salad plate/dessert plate on top of the dinner plate, the pattern overlaps and matches up with the pattern below. The same happens when you place the bread plate. Amazing how things were so carefully crafted way back when. I love vintage shopping for dishes. I often look for old patterns to add to my collection.”
Oh, I see it—how the pattern continues and expands from the salad plate onto the dinner plate. How beautiful is that! What a wonderful design! The gold charger plates Brenda chose for her table are available here: Gold Charger Plates. If you love this pattern, I found a few pieces here: Royal Albert Blossom Time and here: Royal Albert Blossom Time.
Brenda chose an elegant, gold flatware for her Valentine’s Day table. I love its open-cut, Baroque design—so detailed and elegant. (Gold flatware is available here: Elegant Gold Flatware.
Brenda said, “The wine glasses and champagne flutes are from Zwiesel and the pattern is Voltaren. They were bought as gifts for us almost 40 years ago now.”
Brenda found the pink tablecloth and napkins on Amazon here: Pink Tablecloth, Pink Napkins. Brenda said, “The cute candles are from Anthropologie, my husband Tom surprised me with them.” Candles are available here: XO Candles.
Brenda created her centerpiece, placing red roses inside a beautiful, crystal Waterford bowl. So pretty!
Brenda didn’t mention these, but look at those pretty cupcakes! This photo is a bit grainy since I zoomed in to get a closer look and to capture this image. Love the Royal Albert, Blossom Time server!
Thanks so much to Brenda for sharing her elegant romantic Valentine’s Day table setting! Such a wonderful table for Valentine’s Day and the coming of spring! (Heart-shaped Hands are available here: Heart Hands.)
Looking forward to all the beautiful table settings linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!
If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

This is just a beautiful table. I love, love, love those dishes and paring them with gold was perfect! Thank you for sharing Brenda! So lovely.
Oh that is so beautiful! Brenda did a fabulous job – that Royal Albert is totally gorgeous, and so perfect for spring! Love that 3 tiered serving tray too! Thanks to both of you for sharing, and you for hosting, as always! Take care and Happy Thursday!
What a beautiful table setting! So amazing about the pattern on the dishes matching up; I don’t think I’ve seen that effect before. And all the warmth of the pink and gold combination is enhanced by the snowy contrast outside the windows!
That pattern is so pretty! I have not seen in my travels but I suspect it was sold in the UK and/or Ireland. My Mom used to buy china patterns only sold in Ireland and bring back home! Her bags were filled with all kinds of goodies!
Absolutely stunning! Your table and accessories are beautiful! Bravo!

Beautiful table!! I love the dinnerware. I’ve never seen that pattern. Gorgeous!
Beautiful table set with a pretty and unusual pattern. How fun that the salad and dinner work together with their designs. Clever!
I am desperately in love with this pattern! I found one piece at GW, and always look when I am thrifting! The setting is awesome!
Brenda’s tablescape is beautiful. What gorgeous china.
