Beautiful Tables–So Much Inspiration From Aris

Welcome to the 757th Tablescape Thursday! Aris, a lovely BNOTP reader, enjoys entertaining. She has a wonderful group of friends who love gathering for her fabulous dinner parties! Recently, I heard from Aris and she wrote:

Dear Susan,
I thoroughly enjoy your tablescapes blogging, but I don’t do any social media myself. I thought you might enjoy seeing a bit of what I’ve done with inspiration from you and your tablescape Thursday gals.

Included with her email, Aris shared photos of a few of her previous tables and they were way too beautiful to keep all to myself. Enjoy!

Valentine’s Day dinner for three couples…

Heart Bowls for Valentine's Day Table

St. Patrick’s Day…love that tablecloth! Aris served a Greens Salad with Blanched Asparagus, Irish Coddle, Waterford Blah (rolls), and Irish Cream Chocolate Mousse.

Mardi Gras 2023 was a blast!

The menu included: Gulf Shrimp Cocktail, French Market Salad, Creole Red Beans and Rice, and Chocolate Hazelnut King Cake. Yum!

This must be the French Market Salad…it looks so good!

A festive cake to celebrate Mardi Gras…

Mardi Gras, 2022

Spring table in Blue and Green, Orchid Centerpiece

Aris shared a funny story about her Mardi Gras chandelier. She said, “Remembering our impressions of our trip to New Orleans just before Mardi Gras over a decade ago, my husband kept saying the chandelier “Needs more stuff. It’s not trashy enough.” So I kept heading back to Dollar Tree for more “stuff”. My trashy creation was declared a hit and my friends are still raving about it. I guess there’s no accounting for taste.” 🙂

I think these next two photos are from the 2022 Mardi Gras dinner above.

Birthday party… this setting would be so much fun for a summer party! I love the napkins and the napkin fold!

Spring Table, Flamingo-Theme

A summer-Inspired winter picnic for a friend’s birthday… The menu included Apple Chicken Sausage in Brioche buns, potato salad, baked beans, and coleslaw.

Blue and White Tablescape with Yellow Accents

Another beautiful table in deep rich blues…Aris has the best tablecloths, doesn’t she?! Aris served blue “Butterfly Pea Flower Tea that turns pink when lemon is added.” That sounds so interesting! I’ve never heard of that…we need more details! (Update: You’ll find the Butterfly Pea Flower Tea that Aris served here: Butterfly Pea Flower Tea.

Beautiful Spring Table, Blue and Lavender colors

Beautiful colors for summer! I can’t quite make out the menu but I think I see Chicken and Chocolate Cake.

Thanks so much to Aris for sharing these beautiful tables. Sooo much inspiration and just in time for spring/summer entertaining! Looking forward to all the beautiful tables linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday! 1. Beautiful!!!

  2. Gorgeous, rich, saturated jewel tones! All beauties. And I’m so hungry now.
Aris, how long have you collected the tablecloths and tableware?

    • Mia, Thank you for your kind words. Actually, I’m not sure I ever set out to “collect” these things, they just sort of kept following me home over the past few decades. Many thanks to hot deals from EBay, Ross, Marshalls, Amazon and Assistance League Thrift Shop. Isn’t it surprising what you can find when you’re not even looking?

  3. All of Aris tables were absolutely beautiful, and so colorful! I loved the Mardi Gras chandelier… Brilliant! So fun! And the flamingo table was totally a fun table as well. I’m so glad she shared her tables with everyone. They were beautiful.

  4. All excellent tables, and I LOVE that french market salad! I’m definitely going to try to create my own version of that. Thanks to Aris and you for sharing it all! And thanks for hosting the party. Happy Almost April!

    love the colors!!!

  6. Wow. Aris has quite the creative touch! So many different themes, and they all look great. Love the colors. Those blue cut-to-clear glasses are stunning. And the pink flamingo feathers cracked me up. 😀 Thanks for sharing, Aris. I wish we had more details! I’m still nursing a bad back and frustrated that I feel so stuck. It was a nice pick-me-up to see all these pretty tablescapes. Thanks, Susan.

    • Pam, Thank you for your kind comments. You might have also chuckled to see the additional 3 flamingos nesting in a pink feather boa around the circumference of the pendant light hanging above the table. I suspended single pink feathers on nearly invisible threads from the light, so it looked like they were randomly falling over the table, hence, those scattered over the tabletop. The green salads were topped with watermelon slices cut into flamingos with a large cookie cutter. It definitely set the stage for some silly flamingo fun! Hope your back feels better soon.

ALL FUN! I enjoyed these so much! Plus, such elegant food! WOW!

  8. They are all pretty, but the flamingo tablescape is my favorite. My granddaughter would love this.

  9. Snowflake281 says

Love them all especially the pink flamingo tablescape. I’d like to see more of those fun-type settings, without them becoming too tacky though! Nice job.

  10. Muito Bonito!

  11. All beautiful. Loved them. Thank you for sharing.

  12. Beautiful tables Aris – all of them! I love the Mardi Gras tables and I’m head over heels with the flamingo one! Tons of inspiration here and thanks for sharing Aris and a big thanks to Susan for hosting!
