Happy Friday!
What do you do when you have too many books and not enough bookshelves?
Imagine if a woodworking shop came to life. Even if you’re not into woodworking, you’ll like this 7-minute video. It made me laughed out loud a couple of times. The clamps were my favorite. Eee-eek, eee-eek, eee-eek. That will make sense in a minute. 🙂
The video below was made by Frank Howarth from Frank Makes.com. He holds a Bachelors of Architecture degree from Cornell University and a Masters of Architecture from Harvard University.
Frank shot over 11,700 frames to make the video and it took him almost 3 months! I loved it and had to share!
Did I mention Frank has mad woodworking skills?!
Click on the image below to view the video, it’s amazing! Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing this video! I’m off to watch it! Have a great weekend!
Cutest video ever! At the end I never thought the selves would be horizontal. It looked like they were building tall book shelves. Loved the clamps too. Thanks for sharing Susan!
lol I know, I thought they were going to be vertical at first, too.
Very cute video. The bookcases are gorgeous!
They were! I was thinking while I was watching it how rarely you see real wood bookshelves these day, they all that pressboard or something similar.
I’ll be watching! Thanks for telling us about the video!
Amazing! Awesome! Such talent in woodworking and media!
Great video – my kids loved it too!
Awesome! Party Disney, part woodworking! 🙂
That was a great video, and it had my cats attention as well–they gathered around the computer to watch with me–all the cool sounds and actions!
The clamps are the Eyore of the woodworking shop! This was wonderful.
🙂 Love it!
Fantastic! And I can’t stop watching his video’s. 🙂
lol Same effect on me! 🙂
Unbelievable!! How DID HE DO THAT???
On his you tube channel, he has a video where he takes you on a tour of his shop. It’s really cool although 75 of the stuff he shows, I have no idea what it is. lol But in the video, he mentioned he took one course in animation while in college. What a talented man!
Wow, what a great workshop with robotic tools no less. I must say the clamps creeped me out, though.
And speaking of books I would love to know what Frank was reading to Claire and Calvin. It sounds interesting.
He was reading the Chronicle of Narnia.
Ahhh, thanks Rosanna!
Are we going to get a peek at your friend Maries
Easter decorations? Can’t wait.

Judy, she and I are supposed to get together in early April. We’ve been trying to get together for a couple of months now and our schedules never will work together. We’re hoping for April. 🙂
Susan, that video was amazing. Loved it. Can’t wait to show my husband.
That video is amazing! I just love your blog! Thanks!
Thanks, Susan! I’ve had a frustrating day with my camera so those kind words cheered me up! 🙂
Pretty impressive! However, I had to suppress the urge to go grab the WD40 the whole time…
LOL!
Ha, Susan!
I know it took the maker lots of time and $$$ but that video really looks done as if by magic.
Well, I guess that’s what they call professionalism! Love that!
~Hugs to you~
Cecilia
It does! Talented man!
I really enjoyed this video! So creative both the woodworking and the video!! Such talent!
Thanks for sharing that fantastic video. The next video started right away and I loved that one too. It included his children and they made a stand for their cat’s food bowls. It was great. I’m definitely going to check out his site. He is amazing!
Denise, I had to watch that one, too. Lucky cat, that is!
Wow so cool. My husband makes furniture so I sent this to him. Thanks for sharing this Susan! Happy weekend.

Susan,
Loved the video and love your blog. You are such a can-do girl, I admire that. When you made your own potting bench I had a feeling you would be venturing more in that direction…at least for now. I’ve loved how you share everything. I’ve changed out & made Christmas tree lights work that hadn’t. I didn’t know where the fuses went! Just say in’, love your blog & look forward to BNOTP.
Oh, thanks, Donna, appreciate that so much! I promise I won’t turn it into a woodworking blog. It is fun playing and coming up with stuff to build. lol Oh, I’m so glad the Christmas tree light trick worked! I was amazed when it actually worked on my tree and the lights lit back up! 🙂
Yu are so right, this is cool! Loved it, thanks for sharing.
I loved this! So creative and such great woodworking! Thank you for making a post about it, Susan!
