In The BNOTP Library: Dreaming of Florence

I couldn’t share Barbara Ohrbach’s book, Dreaming of Tuscany, and not share her book about Florence. Both are wonderful books for anyone wishing to travel to these areas or for anyone just interested in learning more about the homes, decor, gardens, art, food and culture.

Dreaming of Florence by Barbara Milo Ohrbach

3 Things I Like About This Book:

  • Beautiful photography! I always love the photography in Barbara Ohrbach’s books because it captures the feeling of a place, putting you right there. This book is similar to Dreaming in Tuscany in that Barbara shares all the best places to go for whatever you most want to experience while visiting Florence. It’s an invaluable resource for anyone who plans to visit there.
  • The chapters cover the areas of interest one might have when traveling in the area, like visiting sites in the country, or those in the city, the most beautiful gardens, where all the best places are to shop or to eat and where the must-see sculptures and art can be found.
  • This book gets very specific, just like her book, Dreaming in Tuscany. It gives the exact address and telephone number for the shops, restaurants, hotels, art galleries, etc… that she recommends.
