Happy 250th Birthday to America! Seeing photos and hearing all the accolades from those who have been visiting for the World Cup have made me realize how little I’ve seen of the United States. My goal over the next several years is to see more of this beautiful country. As varied as the features, landscapes, and cultures are in each state, traveling in the U.S. in some ways is almost like traveling across 50 different countries. Where should I start? What should be the first wonderful place that I visit? Have you traveled the United States extensively? What were your favorite sites and states to visit?

You’ll find the recipe for this patriotic punch here: Patriotic Punch for the 4th of July.

I’ll leave you with images of the porch decorated for a previous Independence Day.

I actually sewed the larger red pillows with the contrasting trim that you see on the swing. You’ll find that previous post here: How to Sew a Pillow with Piping, Easy Tutorial.

If you’re looking for a fun DIY project, you’ll find a post where I shared details on how I made the wooden flag above the hutch, in this previous post: DIY Wooden Flag for Patriotic Holidays and Everyday.
