Happy Weekend!  I have something wonderful to start your weekend off just right…Two Giveaways of beautiful holiday china from Noritake!

Yesterday I posted a Christmas table setting for Tablescape Thursday using beautiful silver-accented dishware from Noritake.

Christmas Tablescape with Noritake Platinum Dishware

The pattern I used was Crestwood Platinum and I love how it pairs so well with silver or stainless flatware.  It’s perfect any time of the year, but I especially love how it looks during the holiday season when we’re using so much silver and gold in our decorating and centerpieces.

Christmas Tablescape with Noritake Crestwood Platinum

Noritake carries another beautiful silver pattern called Platinum Wave.  The Platinum Wave pattern  includes a coordinating set of holiday appetizer plates that are adorable and absolutely perfect for holiday entertaining.

Giveaway I:

Noritake is giving away 2 sets (8 plates) of this whimsical holiday Platinum Wave pattern to a lucky BNOTP reader!

  199. Decisions, decisions! I love the fresh look of the plates, but how can you not like the holly soup bowls. I must say I would love to win either!!! Thanks Noritake for your generosity.

  200. Susan, another wonderful offering, thank you. This is a hard choice. I am a traditionalist so I am drawn to the Holly Berry. However, I have some young women in the family who I know would love the Platinum Wave. So, were I lucky enough to win, I would have to see how stuffed Santa’s bag is at that moment and then make the call as to whether I get the gift, or the next gereration is the winner! Happy holidays, MM

I had no idea how many others quietly read your blog!! A contest brings everyone out, though, and here I am joining in. I love the Platinum Wave small plates, and they would be so perfect with my new ‘eclectic’ set of all kinds of fine white china trimmed in silver. I bought whatever I found on super sale, a plate here and another there. Amazingly, the mingle of silver trimmed plates look wonderful together. I guess one could call it a collected look – figuratively and literally. Thanks for your blog and for this opportunity. My first set of dishes (now 41 years old) is Noritake Sedgwick. I still love the delicate raised orange flowers. Thanks also to Noritake.

  206. Both are lovely, but the Holly Berry would really compliment my holiday table!

I would choose the Holly Berry…they remind me of Christmases of past when my mother used to love to set her Christmas dinner table with her best china, making it such and enjoyable experience for all those who would be sitting there for dinner. My mother loved holly and I could just imagine how lovely my table would look having those bowls on it bring with them the memories of Christmases from years gone by. I can see it causing me to have to buy the entire set!!!

  463. The platinum wave plates would be a perfect accent for my holiday open house. Thanks for the opportunity.

  464. Ooh ooh! I would love to win, and I would definitely choose the holly berry bowls. While I love that platinum dishware you used, I am a traditionalist all the way, and the holiday version of the platinum is more modern. But the holly-edged soup bowls are so beautiful! And it warms my heart to say that I find that we’ve used every single bowl (there are two of us, and between large and small we probably have nearly twenty) before the dishwasher is nearly full – because right now we’re eating so much soup! (OK, and some ice cream, too.) I don’t get home from work ’till fairly late, so I try to make one or two big batches of food to last through each week, and lately it’s been mostly soup, with the occasional curry thrown in. Mmmmmmm…soup.

  465. I would love the holly & berry bowls. Christmas is my favorite time of the year and since we love lots of different soups in the winter these would be wonderful to use.

  466. Love them both!!! I think I would choose the plates – gorgeous!!!

My niece came cross country last week for a visit and I set the table with my old ( or is it vintage) Pfatzgraff Christmas Heirloom pattern, red chargers, red salad plates….and little glass angels from the dollar store as place card holders.
