Welcome to the 662nd Metamorphosis Monday!
Still nice and warm here and the trees are all still green, at least in my backyard, but I decided this weekend that it was time to do a little bit of fall decorating. Last year I purchased the white pumpkin in the photo below from HERE. Or, maybe it was the year before, I think it was the year before. Anyway, I loved it so much when it arrived, I ended getting the other two a short time later. I just couldn’t resist their woolly softness!
They have a different style pumpkin pillow this year. I like it, too! It comes in two colors and is currently on sale here: Pumpkin Pillow.
I couldn’t wait to pull these cozy pumpkin pillows back out again this year.
The white one landed here in the guest room on the ottoman. It does add a bit of fall coziness to this room.
The dark brown one ended up here in the office.
Ummm, maybe I should change out all the summer hats on the hat rack for winter hats and scarves. I may try that and see how it looks.
Just a bit of fall for this reading nook in the office.
The biggest of the three pumpkins found its way to the upstairs living room/bonus room.
Still to this day, one of my favorite fall/Halloween decorations to pull out are these silly crows I found in Hobby Lobby one year.
Do you remember when they crashed this Halloween table setting? I think they just may end up in another Halloween table this year.
For now, they are hanging out here. They need a bit of fall garland around their little feet/bases. I feel a Hobby Lobby trip coming on!
Here’s a cozy spot to curl up with a good book this autumn.
The black cat pillow was probably a HomeGoods are Marshalls find. I usually shop for pillows in both those places.
I found this “book” that’s really a sneaky box in Marshalls a few years back. I don’t think I’ve ever pulled it out before because it still had a ton of stickers on its backside. I may have bought it at the end of the season, then just never got a chance to use it last year.
Here’s how it looks inside. I like its magnetic closure. Umm, I’ll have to think of something fun to store inside. It’s times like this that I wished I lived closer to my grandsons. It would be so much fun to hide something inside for them to discover!
How’s your fall decorating going? Have you started yet?
Update: Just noticed that Talbots has 40% off everything today. Whoo Hooo! I need more corduroy pants so I’m off to shop! You’ll find the sale here: Talbots 40% Off Everything Sale!
Looking forward to all the great Before and Afters linked for this week’s Metamorphosis Monday!

Love your crows. Ironically, the movie “The Birds” was on TV last night. I watched a little of it. It was never my favorite Hitchcock movie. Happy Fall to you Susan!
The black and silver setting with the crows is one of the best Halloween tablescapes I’ve ever seen–fun AND elegant!
Thanks so much, Mia! That was such a fun table to create!
Too funny! I’ve never seen the whole movie but the parts I saw years ago were pretty scary! It’s probably pretty tame now compared to most movies today.
Susan, I particularly like the homes you found for the white and dark brown pumpkin. They look so cozy there. The brown one seems like a little person all snuggled in and ready to read.
And I’ve always admired those crows and are quite surprised that HL hasn’t brought them back. At least, I don’t think so. I’ve watched for them ever since I saw them on your blog. They always look so fantastic in a tablescape. The one with the silver mercury glass and black candelabras is one of my all time favorites. I wish HL would bring them back!
This past week has been particularly hectic and stressful for me. I’m hoping I finish my project today or tomorrow. But looking at those fuzzy pumpkins around your home has definitely put a smile on my face. I hope this is the start of a great week for both of us, for everybody!
Thanks so much, Pam! Good luck with your project! I need to get busy and finish my fall decorating. I think I’m going to make a trip to Hobby Lobby soon. I’ll let you know if I see any crows while I’m there. I remember they had them for a couple of years but I didn’t see them after that. I haven’t been there in ages though…so need to see what they have in for this year.
Yes, please do let me know, thanks. I love Hobby Lobby, but no longer live close by so I don’t get in as much as I used to. (Which is probably just as well, lol.) But I’d make a special trip if they had those crows!
I love all of your decorations! Thanks for hosting!
Thanks, Katie!

Love the Halloween touches all over your home! Yes – I decorate for Halloween. When we downsized I made sure to keep the decorations…I love putting them out and “playing house” ! Have a great week !
Thanks, Ann! Yes, gotta keep those decorations! 🙂 Happy Fall!
I’ve been waiting until October to get out the Halloween stuff. Your Halloween cat pillow reminded me just now to go dig out the one I have from the depths of the closet. Thanks, I might have forgotten it otherwise 🙂
So glad it reminded you, Scharese! Happy fall decorating and Happy Halloween decorating!

I love the crows too! They just add that somewhat eerie quality. Love the Pottery Barn pumpkins as well. Thought about getting them last year, but didn’t, and regretted it. Was eventually able to put together the set of three pumpkins between Pottery Barn and Ebay.
Thanks, Maureen! Glad you were able to find them. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done–passed on something then later had to search all over the place to find it/them. Those fuzzy pumpkins just captured me and I had to have them all! They are fun to decorate with this time of year.
I have been looking for some crows for my table. I will search out Hobby Lobby and see what they have.
Hope they have them, Martha! Would be fun if they brought them back in some new poses. I would def buy a few more if they did that.
I love the pumpkin in your upstairs FR paired with the comfy blanket. The potions box/faux book is perfect and I also love the idea of hiding something inside for the grandkids. Since no kids you could put recipe cards for witch potions. I like the crows too and the fact they get around in different spots of your house! I grew pumpkins this year so able to start setting them out and about. It is still 90 degrees this week. So not fall weather.
Wow, 90! That’s definitely not fall weather! lol
Thanks, Kathleen! It is fun seeing where they will land next. I like your recipe card idea!
I love your pumpkins! They look so cozy!!
Thanks, Sheri!

Thanks, Debe! Happy Fall and I hope you stay safe, healthy and happy, too…such lovely wishes! Much appreciated!
Love your pumpkins pillows! Years ago our Hallmark store had gold and orange, soft velvet pumpkins with star shapes pressed into the fabric and pretty gold twisted cording around the sections of these fat pumpkins. A pretty gold gossamer bow tied a round the stem. Of course I snatched them up immediately, lol! I will have to be on the look out for some like yours to join my pumpkin patch! For fall, I decorate in fall / harvest theme and need to finish my “seasonal tree” that stays up all year and changes with the seasons. It will have orange and gold lights with leaves and pheasant feathers and various bird ornaments. Hope to work on it tomorrow. Happy Fall!
So many fun links to dive into this week! I love all the festive touches of Halloween around your house. They’re fabulous! Thanks so much for hosting. I hope your week is a special one, CoCo
I love the idea of switching out the summer hats for winter hats and scarves! That could be really fun/cute. I need to get some of the pumpkin pillows- the perfect little touch!
