Let’s Go Inside The Beautiful Tate House Conservatory!

Welcome to the 884th Metamorphosis Monday! Today, I’m taking you back to the beautiful Tate House, aka The Pink Palace, in Tate, Georgia. You may recall that a friend and I visited the Tate House in December, when it was decorated for Christmas.

The Tate House, built from a rare pink marble mined from a nearby quarry, is an iconic landmark in Tate, Georgia.

It really is a stunning home to see in person!

A Visit to Tate House in Tate, GA

In 2024, a beautiful conservatory was added on to the left side of the home.

I couldn’t wait to go inside and see how it looked. I don’t think I’ve ever been inside a conservatory, except when I visited the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Pictures can not truly capture the beauty of this space. It was built to host special events, including weddings.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a mini version of a room like this attached to our own homes? Plants would thrive there during the wintertime!

We were so fortunate to be visiting the Tate House on a blue-sky day! It had been raining just a few days prior.

The chandeliers were amazing! I believe we were told that they were especially made/designed for this space.

An elegant Christmas tree was on display in the conservatory. I would love to go back and tour the home again one day during the spring or summer, if it’s ever open for tours during that time. I’ve had several requests to share updated photos of the two kittens I adopted back in November. I promise to do that very soon. I have a ton of photos I need to go through, but I will do that and share some photos of them soon. In the meantime, if you are looking for a great puzzle to fill these cold winter days/nights, I really enjoyed working this “book-lover’s” puzzle during the month of November. This puzzle features scenes and characters from classic books like Little Women, Narnia, A Christmas Carol, and many more of our well-loved classics. I really enjoyed doing this one! You’ll find it available here: A Book Lover’s Christmas Puzzle.

  4. How beautiful and another gorgeous Christmas tree. I imagine it’s spectacular in the spring. Is it heated in the conservatory?
Yes, Susan, we are hoping for some cat photobombs.

  5. You took beautiful pictures!
I’ve always wondered what to do with finished, awesome puzzles. And your bedroom puzzled made me want to frame our puzzles too!

  6. Wow, that’s lovely. And you are so right, it was a beautiful day to be taking pictures and visiting. I couldn’t help but think, how do they keep all that ceiling glass clean?! It’s gorgeous. And yes, I would love to have a conservatory. It’s one of my favorite things about English houses and cottages. Quite a few people have conservatories and they are always so cozy. I’d love one.

  7. Wow – what a beautiful place! Yes, I’d love to have a small one of my own, or at least have a party there. Thanks for sharing the tour! I can’t wait for teenage kitty pictures – they are so cute! Thanks as always for hosting, and hope your new year is starting out great!

Susan I actually GASPED when I saw the inside of that huge gorgeous conservatory. WOW. That is breathtaking. I cannot even imagine how gorgeous a wedding reception would be in there. Whew. Beautiful!!!

  9. Tate House is so beautiful. Those chandeliers in the conservatory are huge and beautiful to sit and look at. I imagine the conservatory was built to generate dollars to fund the tours, etc. The pictures of a bride on her wedding day with all that grandeur would sure be a memory! Love this post.

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
