Pairing A New Lilly Pulitzer-Like Coat With Lilly Pulitzer Dresses

Recently, I shared this pretty floral Car Coat that reminds me so much of Lilly Pulitzer clothing. I ordered it and was absolutely blown away by the quality and the design of the coat. I thought it would be nice based on all the amazing reviews, but it still exceeded my expectations. It’s fully lined, and the fabric feels so nice! It feels like it’s from a high-end boutique! Love, love, love it!

I may not get to wear it this spring since we warmed up fast here in Georgia this year, but I had to see how it would look with some of my Lilly Pulitzer dresses. Love it with this green linen LP dress and I like how it’s slightly longer than the dress.

It looks great with this blue linen dress, too. I have this dress in at least one more color; actually, I think I have it in two more colors. I love Lilly Pulitzer linen dresses for summer, so when I find a style I like, I usually buy it in several colors. The other two dresses are currently in Ohio. This coat has so many beautiful colors, I’m sure it will look great with those, too. Correction: This blue dress is actually a linen Tommy Bahama dress. It looks so much like my LP dresses, I thought that’s what it was without reading the label in the back. Anyway, I really like how it looks with the coat!

My local store is currently showing the coat as being sold out, but they keep restocking it, so every few days, all the sizes are back in stock again. If your store shows that it’s sold out, check back because it keeps selling out and being restocked.

Note: This coat is oversized, so if you purchase one online, be sure to size down at least one size. I’m going to take it with me when I head to Ohio in a few days. It may still be cool enough there in the evenings to sneak in a few wears before summer arrives. After that, I may keep it in the car for when I’m dining out; I always freeze in restaurants. You’ll find this Lilly Pulitzer-like coat available here: Floral Car Coat.

  1. Love it! Especially with the green. That was a great item to buy, Susan. Have fun in Ohio. Drive safe! (I remember the tire tread incident.) 🙁

    • When my insurance company tracked down his license number and the company for which he was working, it turned out he didn’t even have insurance. Scary to think there are people on the road driving 18-wheelers with bad retreads and no insurance.

      • Oh my gosh! I hope they took his CDL away. That’s inexcusable. I wonder if a broker was involved. They are saying no to a lot of foreign drivers now, since the info about so many being able to read English came out.

  2. Glad you love it and it’s 95% cotton.
Hot and humid here. Not a fan of spandex stretchy clothes. How do you wash and dry your linen clothing?
When are you returning to Ohio? You didn’t tell us the final decision on the porch repair.
Be safe. Rainy season is here. A lot of people are driving without a license or insurance because they have had too many tickets.

    • I wash them by hand, only takes a few minutes, then hang them to dry. I don’t like washing in the machine since they are never that dirty, so easier to just wash my hand, dry then iron.
Deck repair will have to wait a bit, too much else going on right now.
      I bet you’re right!

  3. Now, THAT’S versatility!!! ❤️ it!!!
