If you saw yesterday’s post, you know the ceiling in my garage just got a big update, an update that was necessary to stop an ongoing issue with the paint peeling away.
There was a lot, and I do mean A LOT of sanding that went on, so the garage windows were a mess! Actually, once I started cleaning, I found they were dirtier on the outside than they were on the inside. I pulled out my favorite window cleaner and got to work. They look so clean and shiny now!

I’ve been trying to be much more conscious of wearing gloves before using cleaning chemicals. I’m bad about just diving in and realizing 15 minutes later that I forgot to put on some gloves. These are the gloves I purchased recently, and I found they are easy to take on and off and do not tear easily. I purchased the Medium size and it fits great. Super Cleaner: This Super Cleaner on the right in the picture below is THE product that I keep on hand at all times. It works so well on so many surfaces. And it cuts through the dirt/grime faster than anything I’ve ever tried. It truly is a “super” cleaner! It also works great on denim transfer stains. I’ve also used it to clean the leather seats in my car and mildew off the painted surfaces on my screened porch. The Original Bee’s Wax: This is the furniture polish I’ve been using for many years. I discovered it a few years back while antiquing. The owners of one of the antique shops that I visited that day raved about it and said it was the only thing they used on all their antique furniture. I’m picky about what I put on my furniture, and I love how this polish leaves my wood furniture looking beautiful, and I really like that there’s no issue of wax buildup. Stainless Steel Cleaner: This is my favorite cleaner for stainless steel. It’s excellent!
Love how well it works to remove fingerprints and other messes from my stainless steel refrigerator and dishwasher in the Dollhouse! Definitely, an awesome product if you have stainless steel appliances. You’ll find it available here: Stainless Steel Cleaner.
The Laundress Delicate Wash: I wash almost all my shirts, sweaters, and dresses by hand. Love the Laundress Delicate Wash for that. You’ll find it available here: The Laundress Delicate Wash.

Love my Dyson vacuum. I have two: one that’s very light and great for vacuuming 3-4 rooms, and this one below with a larger reservoir that is big enough that I can vacuum the whole house on one charge. It is a bit heavier, but I love how long the battery lasts. You’ll find several Dyson vacuums from which to choose here: Dyson Cordless Vacuums.
Disposable Toilet Cleaning System: Does anyone else use this for cleaning the bathroom? I love this toilet cleaning system so much, I have one in each of my bathrooms. I used to dread using a regular toilet brush scrubber because I had to find a way to store that yucky thing when I was done cleaning. With this system, I pop on a cleaning sponge, clean away, then press a little button to dispose of the sponge right into the trash can. Then the handle gets stored back into the front of the container. So much better! You’ll find it available here: Disposable Toilet Cleaning System.
Magic Eraser. Magic Eraser saved me so much painting when I first moved into the Dollhouse in Ohio. I couldn’t believe how it transformed the walls, removing all of the streaks and marks that probably occurred when the last family was moving their furniture out. Silver Polish: My absolute favorite silver polish and the only one I use for polishing silverplate or sterling silver flatware is Hagerty. I’ve been using their products exclusively since I discovered Hagerty is the only polish that a very well-respected silver shop in Atlanta always used. They highly recommended it to me, and I love how well it works. For large pieces, I use Hagerty from the bottle, available here: Silver Polish.
Spray Silver Polish: For silver pieces with intricate details, I use their spray silver polish since it gets down into the grooves and designs in ornate silver pieces that are hard to reach with regular silver polish. You’ll find the spray silver polish available here: Spray Silver Polish. Tip: Please always wear a mask when using the spray polish, just to be safe. I always wear a mask when using any spray products.

Silver Jewelry Storage Keeper: Once your jewelry is clean, this is the best method I’ve found for storing silver jewelry to keep it from tarnishing and requiring the need for repeated polishing. I have this jewelry storage system and love it! Since I’ve started keeping my jewelry in this silver jewelry keeper, my silver jewelry has stayed beautifully shiny and clean. Weiman Stove Top Cleaner: This is the product I use to clean my smooth cooktop. I spray it on, let it set for a few minutes, then wipe it off. It works really well! You’ll find it here: Weiman Stove Top Cleaner.
Weiman Leather Wipes: Before you put those leather boots and shoes away and bring out the summer sandals, here’s an easy way to give your leather footwear a good cleaning. I love these Weiman Leather wipes for how well they work and how convenient they are to use. I’ve used them in the past to clean stains from leather shoes, and I regularly use them on my leather handbags to clean away smudges, especially on the corners of a bag. My Favorite Kitchen Trash Bags: This is my favorite kitchen trash bag. I’ve been using these for years.
