Welcome to the 858th Tablescape Thursday! As I started setting this table a couple of weeks back, I kept thinking this should be a St. Patrick’s Day table setting, but my heart wanted to celebrate spring, so spring won out.
The daffodils are blooming like crazy in my front yard right now, making me ridiculously happy! Are you seeing any signs of spring in your area, yet?
The pink and white roses are from Trader Joe’s and are just starting to open. Please don’t judge my floral arranging! I don’t know why, probably because I’m a bit of a perfectionist, but I find arranging flowers in a vase to be super stressful! I could never do it for a living, I would drive myself crazy!
Rose stems are so crooked, I find it super challenging to get them to stay exactly where I want them. Florists must have some special tricks/talents for getting all the flowers beautifully positioned. I’ll try to remember to add another photo to this post once the roses are all fully open. They smell wonderful!
This table would work well for spring or for Easter. The cute bunny plates were a find in Pier 1 years ago. I keep hoping Pier 1 will reopen one day, I miss it so much! Shopping online just isn’t the same, I miss shopping in person in the store that was just a couple of minutes away.
The floral chargers are Spode, Kim Parker, Emma’s Garland. I love pairing them with the bunny plates since the colors are so similar.
The soft green wine glasses were a find many years ago in Dollar Tree.
If I’m remembering correctly, the bunny glasses were from Pier 1, as well.
I don’t remember where I found the green flatware, most likely HomeGoods or Tuesday Morning. The napkins and napkin rings were all from Pier 1. They used to have an amazing napkin selection and it would occasionally go on sale. I love their cotton napkins and often purchased them during sales.
I took a gazillion photos of this table setting before I realized the bunny vases kinda have a “direction” since two of the bunnies are facing the same direction. Somehow, I managed to face both away from where I normally stand in this room to take this photo. So I moved to the other side of the room for this photo. Eventually I rotated the vases around to face the other way, so you may see a few photos in this post with them facing toward the entry. I think it was last year that I added the second bunny vase.
Initially, I added the second vase so I’d have a backup in case anything ever happened to the first one, but I also kept thinking about how pretty they would look paired together in a longer table setting. This vase must have been very popular since I think this may be the 3rd year they’ve brought it back. If you love it and would regret not getting it, I wouldn’t wait too much longer. Not sure if it will be back again next year, or not. I just noticed in this photo that you can see the cute butterfly resting on the edge. Love this vase! (Bunny vase is available here: Bunny, Butterfly Vase.)
The cute egg cups with the bunny cloche covers were from Pottery Barn many years ago.
The bunny pedestal server in the center of the table was from HomeGoods or Marshalls…I can’t remember which now. This is a great time of year to shop for bunny collections in both of those stores.
The cake is from Publix. I love the smaller cakes that they often have available in their bakery. They are the perfect size for smaller gatherings. (You’ll find similar bunny pedestals/servers here: Bunny Server Pedestal.
My backyard birds are so active right now! I hope you are starting to see little signs of spring in your area, no matter how small. It always amazes me to think how our friends in Australia are just moving into autumn as we say goodbye to winter. Looking forward to the beautiful table settings linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!
If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.
This looks delicious…well…”that cake” got me!! Your tablescape is divine…& yes, I, too, miss shopping Pier One!! (Good “move” bunnies facing) ❤️

Thanks, Franki! Wish I could ship you a piece of cake. 🙂
Susan, I love your spring table. The details are beautiful as well as your rose floral arrangements. Spring is showing up with daffodils blooming in my cottage garden and our Japanese magnolia has buds all over it.
Ohhh, won’t be long before it will be blooming! Unfortunately, the cold spell we had here with snow damaged on the buds on my Debutante Camellia, so no flowers this year.
Those pink roses are perfect. They just scream, Spring. So pretty and I think your floral arranging is just fine. I would love to know what tips and tricks florists have, because you know they have a bundle. I bet I could find some good hints for the perfect arrangements on youtube. Like you, I find roses, or really all flowers challenging when putting them in a vase. They seem to have a mind of their own and just go where they want!
The little egg cups with cloches are just darling. I don’t remember seeing those before. And I love the pretty green of that flatware. Those hydrangea napkin rings are also a great element in the table. They are so large and full.
Susan, I think you must have the biggest and best collection of tableware items in the entire country. I honestly can’t imagine anyone having more items for setting a beautiful table than you. Maybe the White House, but that has to be the only one, lol. Happy (soon to be) Spring!
It really isn’t that, I just using the same items over and over in different settings (dining room/breakfast room/porch) and mix them with other pieces I’ve had forever. I rarely buy any new dishes now, maybe add some new flatware or napkins or chargers every so often. I have a fear of repeating a table. Ha! Hopefully, I won’t recreate the exact same table one day! lol
What a cute Spring table!! Bunnies always look nice in Spring. And as long as those roses smell wonderful they look great too!! I can never get over that mirror every time I see it. Your home is so beautiful!!
Thanks so much, Barbara! That mirror was a lucky find many years ago. I’ve had it now for probably 25-30 years. It’s hanging via a massive OOK that was designed to hold heavy pieces.
Lovely table Susan – your bunnies are darling and the roses cap it all. I know what you mean about flower arrangements, but there’s something so classic about just putting the roses in a vase and letting them be what they are! Thanks so much for hosting, as always, and Happy Springy Thursday!
Thanks so much, Barbara! I agree! If it were just for me and I wasn’t taking photos, I would just drop them and let them go where they may. Much easier than fussing over them. 🙂
Florists use a “frog” in vases when they arrange flowers. You can also use a grid of tape across the top of the vase to keep things in place.
Oh, that makes sense! Thanks for that info, Pam!
Beautiful table setting. I love everything. So pretty how your different napkins are put together. I’m so ready for Spring! My daffodils and hyacinths are blooming.
Thanks, Nancy! I’m craving bright colors…so agree! Ready for spring! Love that you’re seeing signs in your yard, too! ♥
Your table is lovely as always. I recently read on-line that Pier One will be coming back, but it will be part of Tuesday Morning Stores.
Thanks so much, Suzy! Oh, I hope it does and I hope they carry a lot of the same items that they did before. I guess both stores are owned by the same company…didn’t know that.
Perfect spring/Easter table setting as it feeds my need for any signs of Spring. All things bunny are adorable and like how they are incorporated into something useful. I especially love that green flatware, so pretty. Perhaps in your next post you could toss in a photo of your daffodils?
Beautiful setting!
I love how the Spode floral chargers work perfectly with the bunny dishes. So beautiful!
