Sunday, You’re So Good to Me

Sunday, time to sit back and relax a little. You’ve worked hard alllll week.

Sunday Reading

A good book…

Romantic English Homes

…and a “Rustic Retreat” candle, I’m totally addicted to the scent.  They can be found in Walmart but don’t buy them all because I’m going back for a few more. 😉

Yummy Candle

Then there’s this: Loved it so much…

Fall in Love Coffee

I went back for more. I also bought the Caramel Nut Flavor but haven’t tried it yet. (Found in HomeGoods, Marshalls and TJ Max)

Fall in Love Coffee

Happy Sunday! Hope you’re doing whatever you most love today.

  1. The best smelling candle I ever bought came from Wally World…..pumpkin pie aroma, abut subtle.

I have to have decaf coffee most of the time, and I can never find it in seasonal flavors.

  2. Oooooh, that all sounds just so perfect!! EnJOY! franki

  3. Oh, Susan,
I have certainly done what I love most: I read your post and sent you an e-mail! 🙂
    ~Hugs to you~

P.S. Great pictures! I love how the color of that “Rustic Retreat” candle fits that book cover!

  4. OK, I am off to Wally World to buy up all the Rustic Retreat candles before Susan does!!!!! Just kidding! But I am going to look for it and get one for my office. After 5 or 6 oil field workers have been in my office, it needs a new scent!!! I wish that I liked coffee but no matter what you do to it or what flavor it is, there is still that coffee taste in there somewhere. UGH! But you have given me a great idea for Christmas gifts and I am going to look for some of it at my local Marshalls and TJ Max stores to use in gift baskets. I found the most wonderful granola at Sam’s in the bakery dept so I am thinking a little seasonal coffee, some yummy granola and a few baked treats would make a great basket! Thanks for getting me started. Today has been hectic, running around doing errands that did not get done Fri or Sat because I was at my 50 yr high school reunion! It was so much fun but I finally laid down for an hour this afternoon with my Country Living magazine and zoned out. Sundays are just perfect for that, aren’t they? Have a great Sunday, Susan!

I must really be tired because I didn’t even spell my name correctly! Egads!

There’s really a Wally World, really??? I just learned something new today.

  7. Ooh, what a wonderful Sunday. I haven’t seen those candles before, will have to go take a sniff. 🙂

  8. Oh Susan, you got me singing with The Mamas and the Papas son, lol! I just recieved a delicious scented candle from a friend last Friday as a present because I had 14 guests for dinner…we have a custom to take something for the hostess and I too love it! Have a lovely Fallen week.

  9. Way back in the days of Foodbuzz I had the chance to sample Godiva Pumpkin Spice Latte and have been chasing that flavor ever since. Hopefully this one will satisfy my fix. Looking forward to relaxing with that candle also. Wishing everyone here a fantastic week!

  10. The makings of a perfect day.

  11. Thanks for the tip on the candle. I’m checking it out. Have a great week.

  12. Now that book I would love to view the contents of its pages….the title just wraps around one like a cozy wool sweater and commands one to sit down with a very hot cup of tea and spend the afternoon among the beautiful pictures. Tell us more about the book Susan. That is with a please added to the request.
Sunday was given to us by God for a day of rest for man.

  13. Oh, I would love to take a peek at that book!
Off to try and find it on Amazon…

  14. I was lucky enough to get some of that coffee too at Marshall’s. I did see it at Belk for double the price.

  15. I love seasonal coffees so definitely will check these out. Gosh, now I’m thinking about that frozen pumpkin pie in my freezer. Time to take it out and add some “spice” to my life! I actually think I enjoy cinnamon and nutmeg as much as I enjoy chocolate. And that’s saying a lot!

Susan, this is such a funny coincidence because yesterday, (Sunday) I made pumpkin spiced lattes for the first time. (from scratch though) Yum! Btw, I love the look of that book. 😉

  17. Linda Louise S. says

Wish I had read this yesterday. Just went to Wally World and Home Goods this morning. If I had known I would have looked for both the candle and the coffee. Thanks for the tips. Will look the next time I go. Have a great week.

  18. I picked up a Pumpkin Pie coffee at TJ Maxx by the same company I mix it with my decaff 50/50. So good.

  19. Dear Susan, Love all of your pampering ideas.
I always feel like Sunday is a day for relaxation..

  20. Susan, I decided to try this scent and I really liked it. Reminds of another more expensive brand candle that I had. I also decided to try the diffuser in this scent, and I also bought the BHG brand in Spicy Cinnamon Stick. Cinnamon is always a favorite. Anyway, just wanted to say I am new to reading blogs, and thoroughly enjoy yours! Thanks!

    • Glad you liked it. I didn’t think I would so I just bought a really small one, but it ended up being my fave which really surprised me. I haven’t tried the diffuser, yet. So funny about the cinnamon because normally that’s what I always buy is cinnamon. I even burn those when it isn’t Christmastime because it’s always been my fave scent for candles. I think that’s why I was surprised to find I like the Rustic Retreat. Thanks, Carol…appreciate those kind words! XO

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
