Welcome to the 46th Tablescape Thursday!
The Birds…by William Blake
He: Where thou dwellest, in what grove,
Tell me Fair One, tell me Love;
Where thou thy charming nest dost build,
O thou pride of every field!
She: Yonder stands a lonely tree,
There I live and mourn for thee;
Morning drinks my silent tear,
And evening winds my sorrow bear.
He: O thou summer’s harmony,
I have liv’d and mourn’d for thee;
Each day I mourn along the wood,
And night hath heard my sorrows loud.
She: Dost thou truly long for me?
And am I thus sweet to thee?
Sorrow now is at an end,
O my Lover and my Friend!
He: Come, on wings of joy we’ll fly
To where my bower hangs on high;
Come, and make thy calm retreat
Among green leaves and blossoms sweet.
Bowl and Plate: Oralia from Pier 1, last summer
Salad Plate: Loucarte, Made in Portugal, from HomeGoods last summer
Glassware: La Rochere, Marshalls, this spring
Bamboo flatware: Big Lots, last summer
Napkin Holders: Pier 1, last summer
Birdie Tealight Holders and candles from Colonial Candle
Large bird in centerpiece: Colonial Candle…but may no longer be available
Red Candleholders: Hobby Lobby, last summer
Cachepot: Marshalls, years ago
Greenery from my yard: Leland Cypress with Nandina berries

Your flatware looks so great with your plates, Susan. Your porch is the most inviting place in the world. You must spend lazy summer afternoons there just happy to be. If I could pick a dream porch, it would be yours. And of course you'd be my dream decorator to make it so pretty! The birds make me smile.
Brenda
Such a lovely tablescape. I love all of the birds. I have some of the same ones you do and I love to decorate with them. Your porch is so beautiful. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to have one. I hope you have a great day. Charli is sending you a hug :>)

Hi Susan,
Your Patriotic table was the winner for me and then along came this delightful one, and this has topped it. What a knack for decorating you have ! Did you ever think of going into the business ? You do such great work. The porch helps also and it such a nice sweet haven.
I have not been that busy the last few weeks as I had my blog password protected. WHY, you might ask ? I didn't know it was. I have been eagerly waiting for a post to come through, and yesterday I got an email from dear Laurie, and it all fell in place. I thought you all left me. Life is good again.
Do come over sometime in your busy life and say Hi and see what I have been attempting to do. I have too many so, so pictures, and I condensed them into 44 collages. No rhyme or reason, or no order, but it was lots of fun.
Just stop and say HI and I will be thrilled. Strange feeling, and a bit like staying after school for talking too much.
Enjoy your weekend.
Susan, Thank you SOOOO much for hosting again this week! Beautiful tablescape, as always! I put up the pictures that the Buffalo News took of the patio … hope you can stop by.
Thank you so much for hosting — even my husband now asks about thursday's tablescapes, and it gives my daughter more to tease me about! I honestly don't know how you do it — I have trouble just getting ONE post up, and then trying to read and comment — do you sleep???
Wonder woman!
Cass
I do love the dishes, the centerpiece, Oh how I love the napkin rings and the tea light holders! Most of all I love the colors and the how setting on your lovely porch. I wish I was there sitting in the calm! Do you ever feel as if you are in a tree house? I think the view is awesome!
Susan, this is so beautiful and elegant. I love the red, and the birds…it is all lovely. I always enjoy Thursdays to see what you are going to do!~
Blessings,
Debbie
hi Susan
The Washington Post selected my Table Settings as their click of the week. Things That Inspire let me know about your tablescape Thursday which I am so glad to know about. I will link you back right now.
Thanks! Laura
Susan

Susan
Can you delete my #85? The second one should work! thanks!
I never tire of seeing your beautiful dining garden room. It is so lovely. I especially love all the little birdies and I adore those napkin rings. Your photos really capture the life of that room!
Wow! Your dish collection amazes me! I love the bird napkin rings and candle holders. Table looks superb!
Susan, as always, this is such a pretty tablescape. The bird candle holder is so pretty, and since I have some of that same china, you know I like it! laurie
This one was probably my favorite of all your tablescapes!
Absolutely fabulous! You're so clever! ☺ diane
I'm such a slow poke at returning comments this past week with all the changes going on with my mom, but I was very touched that you stopped by and left your kind comment.
Your tablescapes are beautiful over here! : )
Is there no end to your collection of dishes and silverware and ceterpieces? You must have a warehouse full! All of the many sets of dishes can't fit into that one closet! We have enjoyed each and every tablescape! You are so talented; your talents never cease to amaze us. Hopefully Big Lots has more sets of Gibson when I get there this morning. Do they give rain checks if they are out? For that sale price, I hope so!
I agree with Sue..put all your tablescapes into a book and count me in for several copies! Seriously, think about Sue's suggestion. You can do it, you can!
* YUMMYLICIOUS, Sweet Susan, YUMMYLICIOUS! AdOre the birds!
Hugs,
Linda *
Susan, I got the last two sets of Gibson (Claremont pattern)from Big Lots today. I am a happy camper! $19.99 each set. The saleslady couldn't believe that they were marked down that low. Saw some leopard pattern flatware there and I thought to myself, how you could take that and make that leopard come alive in a tablescape! My husband wanted to know what I was going to do with all these dishes. You and others have opened my eyes and broaden my horizons about mixing and matching more than one pattern in a tablescape. Still think you should take all your tablescape pictures and put them in a book. I'm sure it would be a best seller! Will you think about it seriously, please! Pretty please!
This is definitely my cup of tea. I love the colors and the theme. Just when I think I have a favorite of one of your tablescapes, you do something else to change my mind, lol ;o)
Susan…another breathtaking table setting! We're curious…how many plates do you have…and more importantly – where do you store them all?!! Just gorgeous!
As always, you made a beautiful table. I loved the poem, it was so fitting! Thanks for sharing your creativity.
