It’s been a while since I shared some of the go-to items that I love and have been using for years. These are the must-haves that I’ve purchased duplicates of so they are always available, whether I’m in Georgia or Ohio. My Calista Curler is one of those things. For a while, I was worried it had been discontinued, but thankfully it hasn’t. They just updated the look of it. I have it in both the 1-inch and 1.5-inch barrels. The 1-inch is great for when my hair is above or right at shoulder length. When I occasionally let my hair grow out a little further, I use the 1.5-inch Calista. You’ll find the Calista Curler available in three different barrel sizes here: Calista Curler That I LOVE! (Note: Check the image that shows three different ladies to determine which size is best for your hair.

I was distressed when I couldn’t get these awesome trash bags during that time a few years back when everything was suddenly in short supply. I always stay stocked up on these for my kitchen and office trash cans. I’ve never had one tear. Ever! I love the handles, which make them so easy to tie off, and they hold a ton! You’ll find my favorite trash bags available here: Best Trash Bags.

I love placing some of my lamps on timers so that they automatically come on as evening approaches. Love never coming home to a dark house. This is my favorite timer—it’s super easy to set. Thankfully, when setting the time, I don’t have to press the buttons a million times like I used to have to do on the timers I had before finding these. I just hold the button down, and the numbers fly by! You’ll find these easy to operate timer available here: Awesome Timers for Lamps.

I’ve shared these awesome cleaners before, but since this is a post sharing the things I have purchased for both houses, they needed to be included. The Super Cleaner is like elbow grease in a bottle! It is the best cleaner I’ve ever found for cutting through serious grime, like the mildew/grime that accumulates on doors to my screened porch. I’m always amazed by how well it works where other cleaners barely put a dent in the grime. Love the Therapy Stainless Steel Cleaner, too! I use it on my stainless refrigerator here in the Dollhouse and on my large, floor-standing tool chest in Georgia. Works great on both! You’ll find these available here: Therapy Stainless Steel Cleaner & Perfect Glass.

I have multiple of this awesome weather station. Not only is it so helpful for knowing the weather before you ever walk out the door, but it’s also attractive, too! You’ll find it available here: Weather Station.

When I first moved into the Dollhouse, I wanted a fan for my office and my bedroom. This one is amazing! It’s remote-controlled, which is super convenient—never even have to stand up or get out of bed to turn it on. I’ll never forget when the electrician was working in my bedroom, removing all this excess wire that was running along the floor on both sides of the room; he asked if the fan I had on was actually an air conditioner. He was shocked to find it was only a fan. It moves the air so powerfully, it feels like it’s cooling it, too! You’ll find this amazing fan here: Powerful Remote Controlled Fan.

I hate killing bugs that innocently find their way into my home. I know they are just doing buggy things and have accidentally wandered into the wrong place. I love these bug catchers and have one on every floor of my home here in Ohio and in Georgia. So I’ve purchased this bug catcher many, many times. It vacuums bugs right up without harming them, then I release them back outdoors. If you also feel bad when you have to kill bugs that are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, you’ll find this bug catcher here: Bug Catcher.

Have this disposable toilet cleaning system in all four baths here at the Dollhouse and in my three bathrooms in Georgia. It makes a yucky task so much easier and I love not having a gross brush to store away. Ugh. Love this and will be using it forever! You’ll find it available here: Clorox Disposable Toilet Cleaning System.

As soon as I moved into the Dollhouse, I purchased another one of these pretty stainless steel toothbrush storage containers. They are my favorite for storing away toothbrushes.

The insert inside can be removed if needed for cleaning, but these brush holders/organizers have so many vents in so many spaces, they dry out quickly. I never remove the insert; instead, I just turn the water on in the sink really hot and hold it under the faucet. Then I just let it dry out for an hour or two. This holder was so helpful when I adopted the kittens. It kept them from licking or chewing on the brushes if they jumped on the counter when I was in the bathroom with them. I love that it hides the stuff we don’t want to see, like toothbrushes and toothpaste. Can’t recommend it highly enough! You’ll find it available here: Oxo Stainless Steel Toothbrush Organizer.

I purchased two of these drying racks when I first moved into the Dollhouse. I let a lot of my clothing hang to dry to avoid any shrinkage, but also to avoid fading, which can happen in the dryer. They are super sturdy, a million times better than the plastic one I have in Georgia. I need to order one for the Georgia house the next time I’m there. You’ll find this awesome drying rack available here: Sturdy Drying Rack for Clothes.

Hope you found this list of some of my all-time favorites helpful! Happy first day of Summer and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads who happen to read/see this post!

You always know about these terrific thing, Susan. Have you heard of those Tao Toothbrushes? I think they are fabulous, and if I hadn’t just bought another Philips Sonicare, I would definitely purchase a Tao.
Always enjoy your shopping tips! Thanks so much!
Which fan? Your link shows a page of fans!
I could not get the link to the actual fan to work so I just linked to the page since it’s the first fan on that page. Here’s the photo of it from the page:

I wish the actual link would work correctly.
Be careful with those disposable toilet cleaners. I ruined a Kohler toilet using them. Scratches that I cannot remove.
Interesting! I’ve been using them for several years and haven’t had that issue, thankfully. My toilets in Georgia are all Kohler, too.
