Tissue Holders For Organizing Remotes, Glasses, Pens, & Often Used Items

One of the items I always try to include in every room in my home is a tissue holder. When you feel a sneeze coming on, there’s no time to run to another room for a tissue. Plus, having tissues available nearby comes in handy for so many reasons, from small spills to runny noses. If you’ve been reading BNOTP for a while, you may remember a post from a few years back where I shared the many different tissue boxes I have throughout the Georgia house. If you missed that post, you’ll find it here: Pretty Tissue Box Covers For Every Room In Your Home. (Beautiful bird-themed tissue holder below is available here: Birdie Tissue Holder.)

A few days ago, I was thinking about adding some type of holder for the remotes we’ll be using in this recently furnished media/movie room in the basement. Remotes have a way of sprouting feet and walking off, don’t they? So I’m hoping if I have a designated spot for storing them, maybe they’ll land there when not in use. Is that just wishful thinking? Ha! As I was shopping for remote storage ideas, I remembered that I also needed a tissue holder for that room. That made me wonder if someone had combined the two (tissues and remotes) and created an organizer that would hold both—and they have! Oh, my gosh, there are so many from which to choose, I had a tough time deciding on just one. Here are just a few that I found.

This pretty bamboo holder will hold a full-size tissue box and has storage for remotes, glasses, and such along the front. I like that it has room for an iPad or book along the side of the box. I could see this organizer being used in a living room or a bedroom. You’ll find it available here: Bamboo Tissue Holder with Room for Remotes, Glasses, and iPad/Notebook.

Bamboo Tissue and Remote Holder

Another beautiful, sleek, wood holder that will hold both tissues and remotes. This one would look great in my Georgia living room with the Judges’ paneling that’s in a similar color. It’s available here: Beautiful Wood Tissue Holder with Room for Remotes.

Tissue & TV Remote Holder, Great for Media Movie Room 05

One more wooden one that appears to hold a full-size tissue box with storage in the back. I like how the storage is segmented off. It’s available here: Wood Tissue & Remote/Pen Holder.

Tissue & TV Remote Holder, Great for Media Movie Room

This one looks super sophisticated with a lot of pretty topstitching. It reminds me of the interior of some sports cars. It’s available here: Leather-style Tissue and Remote/Pen Holder.Tissue & TV Remote Holder, Great for Media Movie Rooms

This is the one that I ordered. It was supposed to arrive yesterday afternoon, but we had terrible storms come through twice yesterday, so it was delayed. It’s supposed to arrive today. I’m looking forward to filling it and placing it at the end of the console. You’ll find it available here: Leather-Style Tissue Holder with Remote Storage.

This one has a lot of storage! Notice how the tissue comes out from the front. Interesting! You’ll find it available here: Tissue Box with Storage for Remotes, Glasses, Pens.

Remote and Tissue Holder

Here’s one more that has the tissue coming out from the front. I guess the tissue box fits in from the back. There’s a spot for remotes and other items on top. It even has two small drawers. This one would be great on a dresser or nightstand, too. It’s available here: Tissue Holder with Storage Drawers.

This one is more ornate with a pretty, floral embossed design and a single drawer. Remotes fit/stand up in the back. I’m amazed by how many different styles there are! It’s available here: Tissue Box with Remote Storage.

I have two rattan tissue boxes in the Georgia house: one in my office and one in the upstairs living room/bonus room. I also added one to the office here in the Dollhouse. I love the texture and casual look of the rattan. The top opens, and the tissue box fits right inside. This one is available here: Rattan Tissue Box with Storage.

This one is similar in a woven design. I like it, but I think I prefer the look of the rattan one better. This one is available here: Woven Tissue Box with Storage for Remotes and Pens.

This would look great in a home decorated in a casual, farmhouse style. I like the whitewash effect! It is available here: Woven Tissue Holder with Storage, Whitewash Color.

There are so many styles from which to choose! You’ll find even more tissue/remote organizers available here: Tissue Holder with Organizer for Remotes, Pens, Glasses, etc…

  1. Susan, you are a bad influence on my skimpy budget. I love all of them ! I think I need a shelf type mounted on the bathroom wall that folds up ( my other office and cat center).LOL
Still liking the soft chairs you bought.
Where are you with shutters ? I saw something for shutters on the Home Depot site while I was searching for a different item. Do they have third party vendors like Walmart ? Not a fan. Yesterday I was waiting for pink silk flowers and they delivered a pink watch. How does that happen ?

    • LOL I need to stop thinking of new projects!
I ordered shutters for the dining room, living room, Butler’s pantry, and guest bath downstairs from the same company that did the ones in my office. That was a couple of weeks ago so they should be ready in a few more weeks.

Those are fabulous! And as you may recall I was given that gorgeous ceramic birdie tissue holder from my mother in law a few years ago – still love it. But ones for remotes and such? Kinda next level, aren’t they?

  4. Susan, curious when you receive yours if you could let us know the quality. I would love to order but curious on your advice!

    • It just arrived and it’s perfect—exactly what I needed. The remotes will fit in the same section, or I can place them in different sections. I like the dark leather-look for the movie room. I didn’t want anything too bright since I knew it would be setting on the console to the right side of the TV. Very pleased with how it looks and it was really easy to fill. I just lifted the top and dropped the tissue box in. Here are a couple of photos of how it looks.

  5. How creative to even think to ask that question! I could really use one but will need some time to choose…they are all so good. Curious if you went down to the media room during the storms.

    • I did. When the hail started I went downstairs since that’s normally when a tornado is near. Thankfully the worst of the storm only lasted about 10 minutes. Ohio seems to have as many tornadoes and bad storms as we do in Georgia!

    • I thought the same thing, Mia. I wouldn’t have thought of the combo to even ask the question. Now, my husband is like Susan. He comes up with stuff like she does! I’m always amazed at what they both find, lol.

  6. I have that rattan one you listed and love it. Very nice quality. Instead of remotes, I have pens and note pads along side the tissues. Definitely recommend it

Do you have a link to where you purchased the round tables on either side of the modular sofa? I love them! Thanks!

    • Oops, sorry I forgot to include that. I purchased those here: https://amzn.to/3YuG2Si
I really like them! They are nice and solid, were fast and easy to put together (took maybe 15 minutes) and the price is great! I went with the “gray” color, but to me, they are really more of a brownish/gray color.

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
