Spring Tablescape With Williams Sonoma Damask Bunny

Welcome to the 346th Tablescape Thursday! Elena put together the most adorable table for Easter this year. Though perfect for Easter, this tablescape would be great anytime during the spring and summer months. In her email, Elena said, "It all started with Williams Sonoma blue damask bunny plates that absolutely stole my heart."   Elena added, "I loved the bunny plates so much that I … [Read more...]

Goodbye Winter Bedding, Hello Spring!

Welcome to the 327th Metamorphosis Monday! This has been one of the coolest springs I remember having in a long time. I'm not complaining, it's been wonderful, but the chilly nights have had me holding onto my winter bedding a little longer than I had planned.   If you were reading BNOTP this past winter, you'll remember I purchased tartan bedding to use during the fall and winter months. … [Read more...]

Antiquing at A Classy Flea

It's been a long time since we went antiquing at A Classy Flea.  Just inside the front door I spotted this painted chest. This would be cute in so many places. I could see it in hallway, a bathroom, a bedroom or on a porch. Of course, you could use it in a dining room but I love using pieces like this is unexpected spots. $249   I was tempted by this book, tons of beautiful pictures inside! … [Read more...]

Patriotic Table Setting For Memorial Day & 4th of July

Welcome to the 345th Tablescape Thursday! One of my favorite tablescapes for summertime dining on the porch is one celebrating our patriotic holidays. Over the next few months we have three coming up: Memorial Day in May, Flag Day in June and Independence Day in July. Time to break out the red, white and blue!   It was a beautiful day as I played out on the porch. Love seeing the trees … [Read more...]

Fast & Easy Juicing For The Lazy Cook

Welcome to the 326th Metamorphosis Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I'm  sharing an edible "Before and After" for this Met Monday. I love to eat but don't necessarily enjoy cooking unless it's for a party or a gathering of friends or family, then I do look forward to cooking. But if it's just me, I'm more prone to grab a handful of nuts or eat a piece of salmon and call it a meal. Recently I've … [Read more...]

In The BNOTP Library: Creating A New Old House

Old homes have so much character and charm. Unfortunately, they also require a lot of repairs and updating to make them comfortable for every day living. The book I'm featuring from my Decor library today offers an alternative for those of us who love old homes but not so much the expense of maintaining them.   In the BNOTP Library: Creating a New Old House: Yesterday's Character for Today's … [Read more...]

No Matter Where It Finds You

On Monday evening I drove into Atlanta to visit a store inside Phipps Plaza.   I purposely drove in late to avoid the end-of-day, going home traffic. I finished my shopping just before the store closed at 8:00 PM.   As I was leaving, something caught my eye.   We get a finite number of sunsets in our lifetime. So much beauty and it's completely free. Stop and … [Read more...]
