I’m obsessed with any book that takes two of my favorite loves (interior design and literature) and manages to merge them together in a wonderful and enchanting way. Novel Interiors subtitle says it all: Living In Enchanted Rooms Inspired by Literature.
In the BNOTP Library: Novel Interiors: Living in Enchanted Rooms Inspired by Literature
Author: Lisa Borgnes Giramonti
3 Things I Like About This Book:
- I have to share a few of my favorite quotes from Novel Interiors because they will give you a good feel for what this book is about: 1. “We don’t just read a great story, we inhabit it.” 2. “Classic novels contain all the details for living a stylish life.” 3. “Discover your design style through the literary worlds you love.”
- The author takes us into the worlds of more than 60 literary classics, showing us how we can recreate the look and feel of those enchanted places we already know so well in our hearts.
- This book is filled with real rooms where real people live out their real lives. The photography is wonderful and intimate…just a great book all the way around, especially if you’re a lover of literature and romantic spaces.
Amazon gives a great preview of the book, so be sure and flip through it to see if this is one you would enjoy.

Thank you for sharing this title…can’t wait to read it! Wanted to let you know – if you don’t already – about The Library Hotel in NYC. LOVE it ! Have stayed there a few times and it is my go to place in New York. Near the NYPL it is a boutique hotel based on libraries and a love of books. Each floor is a category of the Dewey Decimal System…and each room on that floor is a subject in that category…and filled with books and artwork about that subject. The Reading Room is like a library where you have breakfast, happy hour, and tons of books, newspapers, coffee, tea, and snacks all day. You just feel great surrounded by the books and the wonderful feeling of reading. Check it out sometime ! We have stayed in the Fairy Tale room for our anniversary, Money room ( my husband works in a bank) and most recently American Theatre – this visit was for my birthday and we saw a few Broadway shows, so it was the perfect fit.
Thanks for all your great tips and ideas and post…love checking in each day. Now out to get ferns for our screen porch……
Ann, I LOVE the sound of this! I will definitely seek it out next time in NY. What a great concept! Thanks so much for telling me about it…off to Google and read about it now! 🙂
