Welcome to the 896th Tablescape Thursday! Several years ago, we had a very big snow event that came through Georgia. It later came to be known as Snowmageddon. It was a doozy! Just as the snow was starting to melt, I got a crazy idea and set a table out on the deck, taking advantage of the snowy tablecloth provided by Mother Nature.

The only centerpiece that seemed appropriate for that table was a snowflake and star-covered ornament tree.

The dinnerware I chose for that table was designed by David Carter Brown and made by Sakura (2002). The pattern is called Christmas Valley, and it’s one of my favorites, especially for winter. Snowflake glasses and snowflake napkin rings completed this snowy tablescape. (View this table setting in full here: A Winter Table Setting, Tablecloth by Mother Nature.)

Over the years, I’ve set other tables using my Swarovski crystal ornament collection. Swarovski began this crystal ornament collection back in 1991, so it’s been going for 34 years!

Each year, Swarovski alternates between producing a newly designed crystal snowflake or a newly designed crystal star. There would probably be a mutiny if they ever decided to discontinue it since Swarovski fans eagerly anticipate and collect the annual ornament each year.

My 2025 ornament arrived yesterday.

It’s a beautiful star!

Here’s how Swarovski describes this year’s annual Christmas ornament:
This stunning ornament celebrates 130 years of creativity and savoir-faire at Swarovski. Suspended from a light blue grosgrain ribbon, the star-shaped design is precisely cut with 190 light-catching facets and is radiantly brought to life by the signature Aurora Boreale effect. It’s a beautiful embodiment of Swarovski’s complex simplicity and technical skill, and is completed with a champagne gold-tone plated tag, embellished with a single chaton and engraved with ‘130 years’. A truly vibrant way to mark this notable Swarovski anniversary. Decoration object. Not a toy. Not suitable for children under 15.
If you collect these ornaments or would like to start a collection, you’ll find this available for the best price that I’ve seen here: 2025 Swarovski Crystal Annual Ornament.

I have two silverplate trees that I usually display my ornaments on, although the collection has grown so much over the past 34 years, it will no longer fit on just two trees. BNOTP readers have often asked over the years where I found the silver trees that I use. They were from Ross-Simons many, many years ago. Last night, I spent some time online looking for another silver ornament tree. I found this one in two sizes, and I’m thinking of ordering a couple of the 36-inch tall trees. I like ordering the trees in pairs because they can either be displayed separately, with a tree in each room, or, using a pair, they make a beautiful centerpiece for a longer table. The 25-inch tall ornament tree is available here: 25-inch Silver Metal Ornament Tree, and the 36-inch tall ornament tree is available here: 36-inch Silver Metal Ornament Tree.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Looking forward to the beautiful tables linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

Susan ,have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Thanks so much, Sheri! I hope you have an awesome one, too!
Happy Thanksgiving, Susan. I love your Swarovski ornament collection. Several years ago, I visited their wonderful store in Austria. Lots of tempting goodies there. I have a Normal Rockwell ornament collection that a dear friend gave me years ago.
I would love to visit their store, I know it must be stunning to see everything at once! Now I have to look up the Norman Rockwell collection! 🙂
What a fun collection! NR was so talented!
I too have been collecting the Swarovski ornaments since the early days….not sure I have the very first one though. But I’ve been very blessed by my employer who buys me the Swarovski ball ornaments and whatever star or snowflake is made each year for my Christmas gift. So far I have all the balls (which are GORGEOUS) I also have a number of the smaller ornaments with gold accents like a violin, pinecone, angels, train, etc. They make my tree just sparkle!!! Truly my favorite ornaments!
Their ball ornaments are beautiful! What a great collection you have, Toni! I know they are gorgeous on your tree!
Oh I love that snow table! And I love the crystal ornaments too! I’m definitely checking into those – thanks for the recommendation. Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving, and thanks as always for hosting, even on a holiday!
Beautiful. I love the trees.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Happy Thanksgiving, Myrna!
I have one of these exact trees for my Waterford snowflakes. Mine sits slightly crookedly, and I have to prop one leg to make it sit straight. It sort of drives me nuts. It’s attractive, and I’m sure that mine is not typical and most are fine. If I were a more patient person, I would have returned it for a replacement.
Ugh, that would drive me crazy. Is it too late to contact wherever you purchased it to ask for a replacement?
