Cooler Temps Have Me Thinking About Halloween & Fall

The weather has drastically changed here this past week. I’m sure we’ll have a few more warm days ahead, but the cooler temps the last few days and this morning mean autumn is on its way. I had a handyman here working today, and while he was hanging a door and making various repairs, I spent some time online checking out the Halloween and Fall decor. There are some super cute new things available this year! Here are some of my favorites.

I have a ghost pillow that I purchased last year and currently he’s downstairs on the sofa, watching a movie in the movie room. Ha! These two ghost pillows are reasonably priced and available here: Set of Ghost Pillows, 19.6 inches each.

A fun set of ghostly pillows for Halloween. These are available here: Ghost Pillow. If you need inserts, you’ll find my favorite inserts here: Pillow Inserts.

This scarf would be a spooky, fun base for Halloween decor on a fireplace mantel.  You’ll find it available here: Halloween Fireplace Mantel Scarf.

I bought bats similar to these a few years back and loved decorating the mirrors with them throughout my home. Of course, there are many places they could be used for some added spooky fun. You’ll find them available here: 140 Bats for Halloween Decor.

These bats have glowing eyes! I may have to buy some of these to hang from the ceiling of my front porch. I think the Trick-or-Treaters would love those! You’ll find them available here: Bats with Glowing Eyes.

This cracked me up! I measured, and this will fit on the left side of my front door, right below the lantern. Sooo funny! You’ll find it available here: Broom Parking Halloween Decor.

One of the easiest ways to decorate for Halloween is to add spider webs to your door, lanterns, or shrubs. This spider web decoration had great reviews. It would be great stretched over the Broom Parking sign. 🙂 You’ll find it available here: Spider Web Decor for Halloween.

Need a fall wreath? This one is 20 inches in size and is available here: Fall Wreath.

Cute, cute pumpkin…love the long stem! You’ll find it available here in three colors: Pumpkin with Long Stem.

Do you prefer white pumpkins with your decor? This one is available here: White Pumpkin.

Two more pumpkins, and these come in a set. You’ll find them available here: Two Pumpkins: White and Orange.

Two off-white pumpkins for your Halloween decor, you’ll find these here: Two Off-White Pumpkins.

I really like these adorable knitted pumpkins. They are available in several combos/sets here: Mini Knit Pumpkins, Set of 5.

Cute acorn fairy lights for you autumn decor. These are battery operated, was just thinking how cute they would be in the centerpeice of a fall table setting. You’ll find these here: Fairy Acorn String Lights.

I saw these on Instagram, and they were so cute displayed on a mantel. These are available here: Lit Autumn Trees.

A simple way to add some fall decor to your home is by filling a vase or basket with faux branches in autumn colors. This grouping is available here: Faux Eucalyptus Branches.

I love the mix of colors in this set…so pretty! You’ll find this bunch available here: Fall Artificial Eucalyptus Leaves.

Cute blocks displaying an autumn message. This would be really cute displayed on a mantel or bookshelf. You’ll find this 4-pc set available here: 4-Pieces, Fall Table Decor, Block Signs.

For those who like a really neutral palette for their home…this garland is available here: Garland with Faux Pumpkins, Berries, and Fall Leaves.

Another fun pillow cover that would work well for Halloween, all the way through fall. You’ll find these pumpkin pillow covers in lots of different sizes here: Pumpkin Pillows.

Pretty fall garland for a mantel or to decorate around a door. I love these fall colors! You’ll find this garland available here: Fall Garland.

Such fabulous inspo, Susan!!! Thank you! Won’t be long now to get out our autumn bins and make a transformation to a new season. Holding on to summer a bit longer. Too early for me, though I am LOVING this cooler weather. I don’t remember every a worse hot wet miserable sticky awful summer weather before. It has been horrible. It’s not always quite like this, I promise!

  2. I love fall. It is really hot right now and no hint of a change this week. Your post makes me want to take down the red, white and blue!

  3. I am not a fan of Halloween, but I love fall and a lot of the newer colors used. Like spring, you have weeks of decorations. Christmas is such a hurry up after Thanksgiving. Jealous of anybody having cooler temperatures.

  4. For the first time ever, I have not been looking forward to autumn and cooler temperatures. This post slapped me upside the head and reminded me why I love it so much, lol. Thanks, Susan! So many fun things to check out.

    • I feel the same way, Pam! I usually feel sad this time of year, dreading the end of summer, but for some crazy reason, I feel like I’m looking forward to fall.

  5. Love everything except the spider web decoration. It can be life threatening to wildlife. https://www.gardenexperiments.com/its-halloween-the-dangers-of-fake-spider-webs/

  6. Cutest stuff EVER! Adore the ghost pillows and so much more! Thank you for inspiring me!!!

  7. My favorite must be the broom parking; I think it’s more for adults than kids! Cooler (all relative) weather here too so today I just went ahead and packed up my summer stuff. I have a multiple items that are great for this transition period and now enjoy the ease into fall.

  8. Yes, fall is in the air. Love all the decor and the ghost pillows are so much fun.

I love that broom parking sign! I’m thinking of leaving it up all year long….

Towards the end of August, when the temperature starts to drop, I get euphoric! Even though I know summer is necessary to grow our food, I hate summer – the heat, the bugs, the humidity…ugh. Spring, OTOH, makes me depressed, because I know that summer is on it’s way back.

  11. I’m enjoying the warmer tones of autumn after all the summer pastels.

I love fall colors, especially purple plaids. If I get tired of Christmas my back up plan for the winter is to hang onto some of those purples, reds and oranges.

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
