Welcome to the 887th Metamorphosis Monday! These are my plans for later today. I bought this puzzle as soon as I heard a storm was headed our way. The nights have been dipping into the single digits, but as I type this, we are at a sunny 13 degrees. (Puzzle is available here: Puzzle for a Snow Day.)

This is what I saw when my Ring floodlight went off this morning at 3:40 this morning. There were 4 guys back again, working hard to clear the snow. I was impressed with the mini-snowplow they were using; it was super effective! I need to get out there and top off the birdfeeders again today.

Not too many exciting Before and Afters happening around here at the moment, so I thought I would share some colorful eye-candy with you today. How about a dose of spring on this cold winter’s day‽ Some of the accessory items I ordered for the Bogg bags I purchased recently began arriving this week. Last summer, when I took my grandsons to the pool where they are members, I felt a bit silly carrying a handbag with me. I don’t normally hang out at pools during the summer, so I didn’t have a summer tote that was appropriate for being around water. This summer, I’ll be ready! This was the first bag I purchased, and though the snowstorm has delayed deliveries, I’ve been having fun playing with the Bogg bits that have arrived. (Bogg Bits are the adorable accessories/decorations that can be added to the exterior of a Bogg bag.) (The bag below is available here: Heart Bogg Bag.)

I didn’t realize they were going to produce two bags in this “heart” design, but when I saw the second one, I loved its color palette, too. (Heart Bogg Bag is available here: Heart Bogg Bag.)

Bogg makes a phone case for their bag (see it here: Phone Case), but I liked the look of this one much better. This case can be attached to either the outside or the inside of a Bogg bag. I placed this case on the outside for the picture, but I may move it to the inside when I start using the bag. I don’t want my phone in the sun, although my plan is try and keep the whole bag under the shade of an umbrella. If you have a Bogg Bag and could use a phone case for it, this one is available in 5 colors here: Phone Case.)

I’ve added two Bogg Bits to this side of the bag so far: the LOVE bit and an icing/sprinkle-covered donut. I added the donut bit mainly for my grandsons since I often order donuts for them on the weekends. (The script “LOVE” Bogg bit is available here: LOVE Bogg Bit. The Donut Bogg bit is available here: Donut Bogg Bit.) I discovered that the Stanley tumbler in the color Cherry Blossom is a perfect match for this bag. It’s available here: Stanley Tumbler in Cherry Blossom.

In addition to the Love Bogg bit, one of the other bits that was especially created for this bag is the “Heart” bit. I placed it on the other side of the bag, along with an adorable lilac Daisy. The heart Bogg bit is available here: Heart Bogg Bit. The daisy flower is available in 5 colors here: Daisy Flower. I have a few more Bogg Bits arriving this week for this bag, so these may get moved around. I’ll share the other bits that I’ve ordered at the end of this post. So, what about the other Heart bag?

This is the phone case I purchased for this bag. It’s just like the lavender one, only a different color. I love how silky smooth these cases feel. Again, I may end up placing it on the inside of the bag when I actually start carrying the bag. You’ll find it available here: Phone Case. The “BE MINE” conversation heart was an eBay purchase. These are pretty easy to find on eBay here: Bogg Bit Conversation Hearts.

Initially, I had planned to pair a blue Stanley tumbler with this bag, but I couldn’t find one that was the perfect blue. I decided to try the color, Daffodil. Yellow is one of my favorite colors, and it turned out that Daffodial works great with this bag. You’ll find this Stanley tumbler available here: Stanley Daffodil Tumbler.

Did you notice the “Topper” I have on the top of this bag?

This Bogg bag Topper is in a color called Coconut. It’s a soft off-white/cream color, and a perfect match for both Heart bags. This topper comes in a bunch of different colors here: Bogg Bag Toppers. I like how it creates a table for holding drinks, sunglasses, sunscreen, and other goodies we all enjoy having around a pool or at a sports game.

I kept seeing these “half-toppers” on Amazon and loved the concept! With a half topper, the items inside a Bogg bag are easily accessible without having to remove the topper. I couldn’t find a half topper in the cream color that would match the trim of both of my heart bags, so I decided to try this pink one. I think it looks cute on this bag. It will probably work for the other bag, too, although I haven’t tried it yet. It’s a perfect fit for the bag and is nice and sturdy. It also goes great with the Bogg half-cooler that I purchased—more on that in a sec. That’s Agatha photobombing the picture. Ha!

This half-topper is available in four colors here: Half Topper for Bogg Bag. By the way, I messaged Bogg via Instagram to ask if they would ever consider making a half-topper. The reply I received was, “Stay tuned.” That sounds promising—maybe they’ll come out with one this summer. In the meantime, I really like this pink one! So, what’s that on the other side of the bag?

Bogg makes these adorable coolers that they call Half Coolers since they fit perfectly in one half/one side of a Bogg Bag. They don’t seem to have very many on their website right now; maybe they will have more available when spring arrives. You’ll find the ones they currently have available here: Bogg Half Cooler. There were a few past versions that I really liked, including a white one with pink flamingos, but they were all pretty pricey on eBay. I lucked out and found this one for just $15 here: The Bug’s Ear. That’s a steal since they are normally $65, so I ordered it on the spot. Shipping was super fast, so I will def order from them again. Love this adorable cooler!

So what other Bogg Bits do I have on order? I have this toxic trait 😉 of looking up previously offered items from a brand when I find something I love. It turns out, Bogg offered these adorable “Conversation Heart” Bits last year around Valentine’s Day. I hadn’t discovered Bogg bags back then, and now they are no longer available at the Bogg website, but the eBay sellers have them. Some are reasonably priced at around the same price that they originally sold, but some are more expensive. After a lot of searching, I found 3 of the 4 I purchased for a reasonable price, but paid way too much for the pink LUV YOU heart. Of course, that was the one I really wanted. So I have these three coming to me this week. The purple and pink ones will go on the red, pink, and purple Heart bag. The green one is destined for the other bag since it has green in its design. (You’ll find these Bogg Bit Conversation Hearts available here: Conversation Heart Bogg Bits.)

I also ordered the three newly-released “drinks” shown below to divide between my two bags. Bogg Bits are addictive, love the fun designs! Since the popular ones sell out and some bits are only available for a limited time, I bought the ones I really wanted while they were in stock. I love adding these to my bags! When it’s snowy and dreary out, we have to make our own sunshine! I’ve had a lot of fun decorating these bags over the past two weeks; can’t wait to use them this summer! Spring is coming, time to start planning for the warm days ahead!

Super fun Susan. Thanks for sharing. I actually like the striped half cooler bag they have on their website. You will be styling at the pool this summer for sure. In then meantime stay warm and safe. My FIL lives outside of Atlanta and he’s not leaving the house. lol. XO- MaryJo
It is cute! That have a Bogg bag right now that matches it exactly.
Oh, and I don’t blame him! I bet the roads are a mess!
How cute. It’s another kind of puzzle being put together. Do the bits snap in the holes? The guys shoveling the snow off are impressive working all hours. Stay warm.
They do. You have to firmly push them in, though. They can be hard to push in, but you don’t have to worry about them falling out.
I know, the company I use has a lot of clients, including commercial clients, so they have to get out there all hours of the night when the serious snow hits.
Susan, thanks so much for the link to Bogg 1/2 coolers for such a great price! A few years ago I purchased bags & a few accessories for my d-i-ls & myself. I also have one for my granddaughter’s bday in March.
We have been at our north woods WI cottage for the past 2 weeks, where we’ve had 6+ days below zero, including -27 & -33! We’ve stayed cozy by our fire while doing jigsaws, Netflix viewing, & admiring the outdoor beauty from inside!
Wow, that is some serious cold! I think we are supposed to see some negatives at night this week, but nothing like that! Definitely good jisaw puzzle weather! lol
Goodness, you’ve picked out such cute things! I had never heard of these Bogg bags until you featured them, and you have gone all in! I like the bags you chose, plus all the cute little bits to decorate them with. Can’t wait to see them in action this summer. Stay warm!
I had never heard of Bogg bags and I see now why you like them so much! Super adorable, especially with all the accessories! I feel like you are a Lifestyle Consultant with all the wonderful ideas you present in your blog. And once again, what a joy and comfort the Kitties are to you…and they are just precious!
Susan,
Thanks so much for hosting!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links!! I hope you are enjoying your week and you are doing well…
Hugs,

You’re up to 150% with Boggs! The cooler accessories and half topper are genius. It turns a tote into a waterproof picnic basket. When I see everyone’s minus degree weather I feel fortunate to be at 32 at night. Those snow guys sure have their work cut out for them. Thankful you don’t have to worry about clearing your way out!
I know, I wish I had left for GA before now. Unfortunately, the whole dishwasher install delayed things since that had to be done twice. I’m looking forward to getting back to where the snow is gone after a couple of days and doesn’t stick around for weeks! Glad you are in an area with moderate temps, Kathleen!
Susan, give us an update on your son. Hopefully he”s still not stuck at DFW!
Oh my gosh, Becky…it’s been the vacation from H*ll for him and his dad. They boarded the plane the first night, I think that was Friday night and then they announced they didn’t have a captain or a crew, so everyone had to deboard. They put them up in a hotel, but they didn’t suitcases, so everyone on the flight showed back up in the same clothes the next day. A crew arrived and got a standing ovation, then they all boarded, only be total they couldn’t fly due to the weather, so they all had to deboard again. Everyone showed up again in the same clothes for the third day and again, they didn’t leave. I can’t remember if they boarded them that day or not, I think they did.
They finally got to fly out very late the next day, so they spent 4 days in the airport and 3 nights in a hotel that American paid for.
Unfortunately, their luggage was lost when they arrived in Salt Lake City since it had been put on and taken off so many flights…so they still had no clothes. Plus, my son didn’t have his suitcase with all his really nice ski clothes, boots, etc… He has really gotten into skiiing the last few years and has bought a lot of specialize ski clothing, but he and his dad had to rent clothing to ski. He said it was like renting clothing from a Goodwill. They only got to ski for two days.
He went to the airport to fly back home and they flight was canceled, which made his connection flight fail. So now he’s flying out this evening and will get back home sometime tomorrow. His suitcase finally showed the last day of skiiing, so he got to wear his ski stuff that day, but his dad’s suitcase never did show up. So they ended up buying some clothing during the trip. What a nightmare!
You are going to be the most stylish grandmother at the pool! Your grandsons will be wanting to show you off to their friends 😉 I’m dreaming of the warmer weather too! Stay positive. It will be here before we know it.
