It’s Sale-on-Sale Time & This Is What I’m Loving For Fall!

I love it when Talbots does a sale on sale! They have an awesome flash sale going on right now that’s in addition to another sale they’ve been running. Their Flash sale is buy one, get one 50% and if you spend $200 you get another $50 off! Here are some of my fall favorites that I’m considering in this sale. I’ve always loved Talbots shirts that have the contrasting collars and cuffs. They are my favorite because they look so custom and high-end!

This one is especially adorable featuring a cute beagle and doggy bones. Ha! Doesn’t this make you think of autumn and fox hunts—the kind where beagles are running and having the time of their lives chasing a planted fox scent through autumn woods? It would be so cute worn under sweaters this fall. You’ll find this shirt on sale here: Beagle Shirt with Contrasting Collar and Cuffs.

I shared this coat recently since I’m a huge fan of barn coats. I love how comfortable and non-binding they are, and I love their big roomy pockets! The beagle shirt looks great under this coat! The coat is on sale and available in several colors here: Quilted Barn Jacket.

Another pretty shirt with contrasting collar and cuffs! This one is on sale here: Floral Top with contrasting collar and cuffs.

I like the playfulness of this cotton top, plus it looks so soft and comfortable! Love the button design on the shoulder, too! You’ll find it on sale here: Button-Shoulder Top.

With winter just ahead, I become a serious hoodie girl! Love the look of this all-cotton, cozy hoodie. It has a waffle texture that just adds to the cozy factor. It’s available in three colors, including a soft green and a pretty plum. You’ll find it on sale here: Waffle Knit Hoodie, Organic Cotton.

Another cotton top that would make a great transition piece from summer to autumn. It would be perfect with white jeans, then again with blue denim/jeans once fall is here. You’ll find it on sale here: Striped Cotton Pullover.

When autumn arrives, I normally put away my white denim and pull out my dark denim jeans. I have been thinking of changing that and going with a wash denim, instead, so I don’t have to worry so much about denim transfer—although I do cover my car seats once I put away the white jeans.

I really like the look of these wash jeans, such a casual vibe! You’ll find them on sale here: Straight Leg Wash Jeans.

These navy Sperry sneakers would be great for autumn and I love the no-tie design! I wear a lot of Sperry topsider that are designed in this same way, and they are effortless to put on. Unfortunately, these are not included in the sale, but had to mention them since I do enjoy their shoes. You’ll find them available here: Sperry Sneakers.

I really enjoy wearing vests in the fall, paired with a long-sleeved top, they are just the right amount of warmth for autumn weather. Plus, they look so effortlessly stylish! This floral vest is so pretty!

Here’s a close up of the pattern…LOVE! You’ll find it on sale here: Floral Quilted Vest.

Another great vest that’s on sale and this one is extra cozy with sherpa included in the design. This one is available in several colors, too. You’ll find it on sale here: Sherpa Puffer Vest.

My daughter-in-law and I both love our long cardigan dusters when the temps start dropping. They are extra cozy for wearing inside or out. This one is available in both indigo blue and a soft camel color. I really like both colors a lot, would be hard to choose between the two! You’ll find it on sale here: Long Duster Cardigan.

Thinking ahead, this would be a great jacket for an office Christmas party or really to wear any time this fall and winter. You’ll find it on sale here: Tweed Jacket.

Love the unique design of this pump, and it looks super comfortable with the sturdy block heel. It’s available in several colors and they all look beautiful with the contrasting gold chain design. You’ll find it on sale here: Block Heel Pumps.

As I was filling my bird feeders today, it really felt like autumn is just around the corner. I see signs of it everywhere, even some of the trees in my backyard are starting to lose their leaves. Are you feeling it where you live, too?

  1. I love the fit and quality of Talbots clothing. I was quick to order two vests on their recent sale, one being that quilted floral. They run out of my size very quickly. I was disappointed though, and sent both back. I’ve bought many of their vests in the past, but this one was too puffy, and the zipper felt cheap. I should write a review because those always help me when trying to make decisions. I love those Spery sneakers and that shoulder button top. I have a lot of their tees and wear them most all the time.

  2. That beagle blouse is adorable!

  3. I always enjoy seeing your Talbot’s selections. I primarily wear Talbot’s and love their shoes as well as Chico’s and their accessories. This month’s Fall line is wonderful – preppy, youthful yet conscientiously geared toward wardrobe staples that can be mixed and matched easily. What I do not understand is why they feel the need to go on photo shoots in Europe. If it is because of glamour they are trying to get across, I do not see their clothing line as “glamourous”, but rather “substantial”, down to earth, practical quality investment “American preppy”. To me their going outside of our country is egregious and a real put-down. We have so many beautiful places in large cities and small towns across America, that they should be photographing “our” clothing in different locations. I do like the fact they are using older models, and like you noticed (in your other blog that I also loved), with their uncolored long natural hair.

    • Maybe they do it because they know a lot of people who wear their clothing are at the stage in life where they are traveling a good bit, often to other countries. I know what you mean about highlighting areas in our own country, though. I love that idea!

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
