Last Christmas I shared this adorable bedroom in Marie’s home. This is a room she furnished and decorated specifically for her granddaughters when they stay overnight. It was all decorated for Christmas when I took this photo last year.
The tree in the cupola looked like this last year, Christmas 2012.
Marie and I got together a few days ago and though it was already dark by the time we returned home from our day’s adventures, I was able to snap a few pics to share how she decorated the tree this year.
Is this not a fantasy tree for a little girl’s room?
The tree was amazing last year but this year it feels even more enchanting, truly a fantasy tree for a fantasy bedroom.
Here’s a little close-up of some of the decorations. I love the little purses on the tree…so cute for a little girls room.
You can see more of this room including the closet in this post from last year: Victorian Home Decorated for Christmas, Part VI
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas tomorrow! Merry Christmas Eve!
It started so long ago in a manager; it is what Christmas is all about…happiness!! That is just the most fantastical tree! Merry Christmas Eve! franki
That tree is the most amazing thing I have ever seen! Lovely!!
Wow! Amazing! What little girls wouldn’t love a grandmother with imagination like that!
Beautiful! Merry Christmas!
What lucky grandchildren Marie has – look at how she fusses and creates a fun magical place for them.
Big or little gals a like, gotta say that is absolutely AMAZING.
Merry Christmas, Susan!!
How wonderful for these little girls to spend Christmas here! Just fabulous! My parents had a tree in my room when I was little, but nothing of this scale. I did have a full size one one year and it was decorated with candy ornaments my Mom got from the store she worked. It was so fun. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas !!
Just so enchanting!!…a little girls’s dream bedroom!….love the tree and the gorgeous garlands at the foot of the beds…Marie must spend months decorating….Her home is incredible!!!
Merry Christmas Susan!!!!
This room is totally unreal. I wish you and your family a very Blessed and Merry Christmas. Hugs, Marty
Is there any way to find out who made the boy and girl dolls at the foot of the tree? They are gorgeous (as is the whole room, of course), and I think they look familiar, but can’t recall the artist’s name.
I purchased the dolls probably 15 years ago from Neiman Marcus. that was when moving figures were very popular. i don’t know who made them there is nothing on them that tells me.
What a precious room!
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Susan.

Marie’s decorations are always superb. I do believe she is Mrs. Santa Claus!! 🙂
At this time of year, it brings back memories of Sunday school in England
when the girls vied for the cherished role of Mary in the Christmas
play. My turn came and forever in my memory, is the smell of the old
wood in the attic of the little church where we stored the props for the
manger and I carried the baby doll proudly down to the stage.
May the blessings then, be with you all this Christmas and further wishes for a
Healthy, Happy, New Year!!
Merry Christmas ♥
