We had another good-sized snowstorm yesterday; I can’t believe how much snow we’ve had over the last week. It was so much, I had to have the driveway and walkway cleared again. I rarely go anywhere when there’s even a hint of snow, but it is nice to know that if something comes up, I can get out if needed.
I have a tallish pair of snow boots here that I purchased a few years back but never had the need to wear. When I got them out to wear recently, they felt a little too small. They are good for trips out into the yard to fill up the birdfeeders, but they are too small for the 2-3 mile moonlit walks that my son, DIL, and grandsons enjoy on snowy evenings. Since I’ve been missing out on all the moonlit snow walks, I ordered these boots this morning. They are by Columbia, a great brand, so they should be great. I like this color a lot and I think they’ll go well with a barn coat that I have and wear a lot that’s in a similar color. (Boots are available in 7 different colors here: Columbia Snow Boots in 7 Colors.)
I saw this product on Instagram and did a search to find it. I’m super tempted to try it under my desk which is where it’s designed to work. Have you seen these? The reviews looked great! If you work in a room where your legs and feet tend to be cold during this time of year, you’ll find this foldable leg/foot warmer here: Foldable Leg and Feet Warmer for Under Desk.
So, you know how hard it can sometimes be to keep up with gloves? Well, the price for a pair of these touchscreen gloves was so reasonable, I bought two pairs. If I lose a set, I won’t feel so bad. You’ll find these gloves available here: Winter Gloves, Work with Touch Screen Phones.
I run a warm-mist humidifier every night while I sleep. Since I often have issues with my nose feeling stuffy at night, I use this saline solution right before I turn in. I feel like it really helps—plus, it’s not additive like some nasal sprays can be since it’s just saline. I like that it comes in a set so I can keep one by my bed and another in my study. You’ll find it available here: Saline Nasal Mist.
I’ve had several BNOTP readers ask about the sweater shaver I purchased a couple of years back. Unfortunately, I no longer see it available, but a couple of weeks ago I purchased this one since my other sweater shave is back in Georgia. I’ve used it several times on sweaters and my Merino wool socks and it worked great. You’ll find it available here: Sweater Shaver for Pills.
I don’t own this one but the reviews look pretty good. You’ll find it available here: Sweater Shaver for Pills.
I’ve had boots on the mind lately and saw these online. Sooo cute for winter and would look so cute with jeggings or slim-legged pants or jeans. They are currently on sale and I think they are an additional 60% off at check out! Such a great deal! You’ll find them available here: Boots with Faux Fur.
Love this Barn Coat! Barn coat are always so comfortable since they are cut on the looser/larger size, I guess for doing all those barn chores. I may not have a barn or any chickens, pigs, or cows, but I do love, love, love a great barn coat! You’ll find this one on sale with an additional 60% off here: Quilted Barn Coat on sale in 4 colors.
I’ve shared this all-season coat before, but wanted to share it again since it’s one of my favorites.
It’s available in a bunch of different colors, including this pretty neutral.
Love the red color! You’ll find it currently on sale here: All-Season Coat.
As much as I love the awesome winter sales, I’m really looking forward to spring and all the beautiful spring fashions I’m seeing. This tweed jacket is a great staple pieces that would look wonderful with denim or paired with navy slacks. Great for casual days or work days! You’ll find it on sale here: Tweed Jacket with pretty trim.
I always love the tops with a different pattern for the collar and cuffs! The cuffs are so pretty peeking out from under a sweater in winter or spring. This adorable gingham shirt with coordinating cuffs is on sale here: Gingham Top for Spring.
This is completely off-subject, but I’ve had this image saved to my computer for a few months now and I couldn’t remember if I had ever shared it. I wanted to share it now in case it comes back in stock for spring. I really think it will because it appears it sold out when it was last offered.
I love this aqua color with the white piping so much, that for a fleeting moment, I considered buying it for my living room here at the Dollhouse. It definitely has a cottage vibe but I know the color is too “beach cottage” for my living room. Plus, I don’t have any other furniture in my home that would work with this color/vibe. But isn’t it beautiful?! If I owned a beach cottage, I would seriously be considering it! If you have a beach house or already use this color in your home decor, this is where I found it: Aqua-colored Sofa. Again, it’s currently out of stock in the beautiful aqua color, but I bet it will be back in stock this spring, if not sooner. It’s just too pretty for them to not bring it back. It appears to be available in a Coral color that looks a lot like a Nantucket Red, here: Nantucket Red/Coral Sofa.
I have the same kind of gloves that you bought. I wear mine with a glove liners for extra warmth when out walking, clearing snow, etc. The liners that I like the best are nylon with some copper threads from Amazon since they fit tight (like shape wear) and gloves slide easily over them.
I have had the Coldwater Creek jacket for several years and just bought the gloves. Love them both!
I prefer Arm & Hammer Simply Saline Nasal Mist. Available on Amazon and at Costco and Wal-Mart. Ingredients are Purified water, sodium choride (salt), and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). Biggest advantages are this is a pressurized can with a push button which is a big advantage, nostril applicator is very gentle the best ever, ingredients are steroid and preservative free, won’t cause drowsiness, non-habit forming, no side-effects, safe to use during pregnancy. Reasonable cost.
I use this one too and love it.
I got the A&H on your recommendation, and it works extremely well for the dry air from our forced hot air ducts in the New England winter! Thanks!
I could not survive (happily) w/o my pill shaver…sweaters, pants, etc. Just sayin… franki
This was a great post; as all of your favorite purchase posts are! I always love seeing something new that I just might need – thank you for sharing.
I look forward to your ‘favorites’ posts. You’ve introduced me to many great things I didn’t know I needed but can’t imagine living without now 🙂
Happy Birthday, Susan!
Thanks, Pam!

Susan, that foldable under desk warmer’s link says it is unavailable. Also – the nice winter coat that comes in colors? I don’t see a link anywhere there.
My sister has the greatest lake house and her 3 season room has that aqua with white piping furniture. : – )
I’ve seen it sell out several times, but they usually restock it. I would check back in a day or two and see if it’s back in stock. It’s been being advertised on IG, that’s where I saw it, so I bet it’s temporarily out of stock.
Here’s the link for the coat: https://bit.ly/4dOjuAv
Oh, I’m so jealous, I love the look of that aqua sofa/furniture! Is it comfortable?
“…2-3 mile moonlit walks on snowy evenings…” Love how you’ve worded this – it actually makes me want to positively look forward to snow covered landscapes.
