Sharing My Daughter-in-Law’s Favorite Beauty-Care Secrets For Our 800th Metamorphosis Monday!

Welcome to the 800th Metamorphosis Monday! Last month, I shared my favorite “beauty/care” products in a single post. Since I’ve been away visiting family this week, I thought this would be a great time to get the skinny on what products my daughter-in-law, Nancy, likes and recommends. She is much more conscientious about how she cares for her skin than I am. I tend to be a little lazy about those things. I asked Nancy for a list of her favorite beauty/body care products that she regularly uses and there are quite a few on her list that I definitely want to try, especially the facial cleanser she’s been using for many, many years. I’m ordering that one today!

Nancy said, “We all, including the boys, use this every day on our face. I have been using it for over 20 years, and it melts away makeup, is super-clean, and not harsh. Beauty award winner too. I buy it in 32oz sizes.” The facial cleanser Nancy recommends and has been using now for over 20 years is Purity, by Philosophy, and you’ll find it available here: Purity, Best Facial Cleanser.

Nancy said, “I use this every morning when I wake up. The next few products I send will be what I put on after this every morning and night. I have always had acne prone skin and hormonal cystic acne, and these products are the only thing that continues to work for my skin. I often buy two or more of each of these, so I always have them!! They sell out a lot!” These next two products are the ones Nancy is referring to and finds super helpful if you tend to have acne prone skin. Nancy also recommends this facial moisturizer and uses it every morning. I could definitely use a good moisturizer for my face, so I’m going to give this one a try. It’s available here: Confidence in a Cream.

I don’t wear facial powder since my skin is super dry, but if you do, this is the one Nancy likes. You’ll find it available here: Anti-Aging Foundation Facial Powder.

DIME products is another of Nancy’s favorites, and she gave me several samples of some of their products the last time I visited. This is her favorite sunscreen for protecting her face against sun damage. You’ll find it available here: DIME Wonderscreen, Broad Spectrum SPF 30.

I asked Nancy if she has a favorite mascara. I’ve been really excited about wearing mascara again since I started using THIS one that I mentioned in my favorites post here: Favorite Beauty-Care Products, Including a New Fave I’m Completely Obsessed Over. Nancy said that she is still searching for the best mascara and doesn’t really have a favorite for everyday wear, but she added that this Beach Waterproof Mascara is her favorite for when she needs a waterproof mascara. Nancy ended her list by mentioning Cutemol as her absolute favorite for the whole family, especially during the wintertime. She and I both sing its praises for using on our hands during the day and on our feet/heels before bedtime. Nancy also sneaks in a puts a little Cutemol on my grandson’s faces at night while they sleep because it helps so much if their faces are looking a bit dry/chapped from playing outside in the wintertime.
