Spring Easter Table Setting With A Fragrant Daffodil Centerpiece

Welcome to the 808th Tablescape Thursday! I almost set this Easter-spring table setting out on the porch, but when I first started putting it together yesterday morning, it was still way too chilly outside. By the time I finished, the temps had reached 71°, and it had turned into an absolutely beautiful sunny day! I’m so excited that spring is here! Love this time of year! Are you seeing spring flowers where you live?

Spring Table, March 2024

I snipped the very last of the daffodils for our centerpiece. My daffodils having been blooming for a few weeks so they are pretty much done for another year. I just barely had enough to fill Mr. Bunny’s basket.

Mr. Bunny has been hibernating all winter in his burrow down in the storage room in the basement. With spring finally here, it was time to wake him from his winter slumber.

Rattan Charger Plates, Metlox Sculptured Daisy Plates, Bunny Salad Plates

I think I’ve only used these bunny salad plates once before for Tablescape Thursday.

They came in a set of four with a different bunny on each plate. Unfortunately, they don’t appear to be available now, but you can still see them here: Bunny Salad Plates.

Spring Bunny Dinnerware

The dinner plates are vintage Metlox Poppytrail, Sculptured Daisy. You can still find it available for really reasonable prices here: Sculptured Daisy. It’s one of my favorites for spring!

The rattan chargers are from Williams-Sonoma and are currently on sale here: Rattan Chargers. I really love these chargers and have found they work great in so many settings. I keep finding myself reaching for them because they add the color and texture that I need for so many of the tables I love to set.

The outer napkin is from the same line as the salad plates. I add the salad plates one year and the napkins the next, if I’m remembering correctly. I don’t think I realized when I bought the napkins that they coordinated with plates I already had, or maybe I did and have just forgotten now. Anyway, I was happily surprised yesterday when I pulled them out for this table to discover they were covered with the exact same bunnies that are on the plates. Ha!

Bunny Napkins, Bunny Ear Napkin Rings

The napkin rings are bunny ears, made from burlap.

Green Flatware, DIY Bunny Napkin Rings

I forgot to take a photo of those from the side, but here’s how they look when sitting at the table. You’ll find an easy tutorial for making those here: DIY Burlap Bunny Ear Napkin Rings.

I think the green glasses and the daisy stemware were both finds in HomeGoods quite a few years back.

As I was setting this table, some of the bees from the bee skep I made a few weeks back…

Bee Skep, DIY Project

…flew right into the breakfast room and landed on our daisy glasses! It must have been the daisies that drew them in, or maybe it was the daffodils in our centerpiece. lol (Steps for making the bee skep are available in this post: How to Make a Decorative Bee Skep for Spring.)

I filled a little glass candleholder with water and placed it inside Mr. Bunny’s basket to hold the daffodils.

The daffodils smelled so wonderful as I was setting the table and the kitchen still smells incredible this morning. Flowers are such a gift, truly a beautiful blessing!

The bees seem to love them, too! 😉

  2. Happy Spring Susan! This table is adorable, all those sweet bunny faces! Love the daffodils, the daisies and the bees!

  3. “A bee’s eye view,” lol. I love those fuzzy little bees. They are so cute. All the green elements are so pretty and ideal for Spring. From the daisy dishes to the glasses, napkins, and the flatware that seems to pull it all together. I love the luminescent quality of that flatware. Thanks to Mr. Bunny for collecting the flowers and to you for setting the table.

  4. Daffodils are the quintessential bloom that represent spring! Such a pretty table, Susan. I am in the same vein, using using sunny daffodil yellows with a classic blue & white spring table. Happy spring!

    • They really are, those and some little grape hyacinths I planted many years ago are the first to pop up in the spring in my yard/garden.
Oh, I love daffodils with blue and white! ♥

  5. Oh that’s just darling Susan – I love that the bees flew in! And your salad plates and matching napkins are perfect. Isn’t it fun to be surprised? Thanks for the beautiful spring inspiration and the party too!

    • Thanks so much, Barbara! I have spring fever so badly!
Yes, having a bad memory def can come with some fun surprises. Ha!

  6. Not much is cuter than a little bunny. The daffodils were the perfect touch; after those, what do you look forward to blooming next?

I love the addition of the bees. Lenox Butterfly Meadow Bunny is a very cute addition to my collection.

  8. We had a taste of spring here in Central PA, all daffodils bloomed and it was gorgeous out. But old man winter came back. LOL We knew it was to good to be true since it is only March and we just had the anniversary of the 1993 blizzard. No blizzards this year thankfully though! I love everything about this adorable table setting Susan! It is just gorgeous! Those little bunny ear diy napkin rings are too cute and so simple. Just perfect. I’m in love with those plates, both the bunny plates and the daisy plates! And Mr. Bunny carrying all those daffodils is a perfect centerpiece. Love, love, love this table setting! Hugs, Brenda
