I can’t remember where I first discovered Naadam, it may have been via an Instagram ad. Anyway, for some time now I’ve been looking for a really long cashmere sweater, the kind that’s about the length of a coat. The only problem was, the ones I was finding were quite pricey…in the $400-600 range. Then I discovered Naadam’s long cashmere sweater and the price was much better! Unfortunately, a lot of other people had discovered it and they were out of my size in the black color which was the color I really wanted.
I kept stalking the site hoping a Small/Medium size would reappear when suddenly the sweater went on sale 50% off! What?! The price was already awesome and now it was 1/2 off! Arggg!
I was in downtown Atlanta a few days ago and brought up Instagram on my phone. There was an ad for Naadam showing the sweater I had been stalking. I clicked on it and was shocked to see my size was available. I’ve never purchased anything so fast in my life! I’m guessing it was a return or one that they found somewhere in a back room because once again it was showing sold out after I ordered.
The sweater arrived yesterday in this package. I love this company’s sense of humor! 🙂
I also LOVE the sweater I found inside! It’s soooo soft and luxurious and not one tiny bit scratchy. The sleeves are slightly fitted which I like. It also has pockets, love that! It’s such a beautiful, sophisticated look for a long sweater!
I would like to get another one in the “Ginger” color. I love how this sweater is not thin or clingy. It has a nice heft/weight to it, so it doesn’t cling to the hips like so many long sweaters do.
Because this sweater has been so popular, I hope they’ll bring it back. I messaged them on Instagram today and emailed them via their website asking when/if it will be back in stock. If I hear anything from them, I’ll mention it in a future post.
If you wear a L/XL in sweaters, that size is still available and on sale in this pretty Ginger color here: Long Cashmere Sweater. I’m almost tempted to buy a Large to wear around the house. I wouldn’t care if it was a little big because that would actually be kinda nice for wearing full time in the house during the winter months.
If you have a moment, you gotta watch a couple of their videos. They are hysterical! Here are two that I’ve watched more than once!
If you need a laugh, check these out these two videos:
The True Story of Naadam-the World’s Finest Cashmere
Naadam, About Our Sustainability. (This video is just as funny and shows how they don’t shave their goats. Instead, they comb them which is much less stressful for the goat. I really love that!)
Having been so impressed with my long cashmere sweater when it arrived yesterday, I decided to check out their other sale items before the sale is over. I ended up ordering one of their hooded cashmere sweaters last night. They are out of Smalls, so I went a Medium. I don’t mind if it’s a bit looser since I typically wear long-sleeve t-shirts under all my sweaters. (This sweater is available here: Hooded Cashmere Sweater.)
Apparently they are known for their $75 Cashmere Sweaters. I want to order one of those eventually. They come in a bunch of different colors and you’ll find those here: $75 Cashmere Sweater.
You’ll find all the items they currently have on sale for women here: Cashmere Clothing for Women. I was also eyeing a scarf, I love the feel of a soft cashmere scarf around my neck during winter.
Just had to share this company since I really, really love my sweater and I love the concept of what they are doing which is making quality cashmere much more affordable while taking care of the animals and helping the herders, as well. As they say, it’s a feel-good story! Love that!
Very soft, very NICE!! SCORE!! franki
You said it! Cashmere is so unbelievably soft! I wonder if they make cashmere pajamas? lol Probably be too warm to sleep in those.
Anymore cashmere recommendations and I’ll have to buy a new freezer to keep them in. Any idea of the right freezer? 🙂
Why a freezer? lol Mine are all folded in my closet. 🙂
How do you care for your cashmere? I tend to shy away from it because I am unsure of it’s care.
I wash mine with The Laundress Wool and Cashmere shampoo that I buy here: https://amzn.to/37kOyGy . I love all their shampoos/washes, including the one they make for silk. After I wash a sweater and gently rinse it by pressing and squeezing it against the side of the sink (no wringing which can stretch the fibers out of shape) I lay the sweater out on a big fluffy towel and then roll it up. I leave it that way for about 15 minutes. That gets most of the water out. Then I just lay the sweater out flat to dry on a drying rack. This is the one I use: https://amzn.to/38vD8zZ
My Naadam sweater came with these same instructions about how to wash cashmere sweaters and I’ve found that really does work the best. I never, ever dry clean my wool or cashmere sweaters because (to me) they never look or feel the same afterward.
I find that I don’t have to wash my wool/cashmere sweaters that often since I always have a shirt or long sleeve t-shirt underneath.
Oh, dear…one of those sweaters is coming to Virginia…franki
Hahahahah – I’m still laughing over those videos! I’d shop their site just for the videos alone! 🙂 And you’re right – the sweaters look fabulous! Thanks for the introduction!
Oh my gosh! I tend to avoid cashmere because of my allergies, but I need to order something from this company! Thanks for the heads up! You find the coolest stuff!! 🙂
Oh, I want this long sweater in ginger, but need a small as well!
Susan – you and your readers might want to check out QVC for their Naadam cashmere items. I saw some sweaters being presented last week. I haven’t purchased anything from this line so I can’t speak to whether it is the same quality as what is sold on the Naadam website. Enjoy your sweater!
LOL; thanks for sharing this info. I’m sold on just the videos alone; and I love the fact that they found a way to give back and provide sustainability.
Those videos were so funny!! Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to buy something from them.
lol I know, I felt the same way after watching them! They are a hoot!
I love the sweater Susan and I had to giggle because I just bought myself the Naadam Open-Front Robe because it went on clearance here (prices are in Canadian Dollars)

I just received it a couple days ago and I absolutely love it. 🙂
Oh, I love the idea of a robe in cashmere! Gahhh! I’m putting one of those on my wish list for next winter. I’ve already purchased three sweaters from them this winter so I’ll make myself wait, but I def would love one of their robes. Thanks for telling me about those, Catalynn!
Girl.. you are trouble. But I love your recommendations. Just ordered the long cashmere in ginger. I have a similar one from Jaeger and wear it often but it’s NOT cashmere. Thanks for encouraging me to spoil myself (again!)
Love your blog!!!!!!!!!!
lol I know, I hear that a lot! 😉 Cynthia, last night I was working on today’s tablescape post and it was quite late, around 12:30 in the morning. I’ve been wanting to buy the Ginger color in a S/M so just for the heck of it, I clicked on the link where I had bookmarked it and I couldn’t believe it, there was a S/M showing. I purchased it immediately. When I checked again, it was showing the S/M were sold out again. I guess they must have gotten a return or found another one. I’m so happy to be getting that color too…because I love the black one I have so much! So we will be twinsies in our matching ginger sweaters. 🙂
I think you are going to LOVE your sweater! My black one is so incredibly soft and not the least bit scratchy. It makes you feel completely spoiled! lol I can’t wait until the ginger one arrives!
Thanks for sharing about this company! This is great info to have. And their ad was adorable. So creative and funny. I’m so glad you shared this, Susan.
