I’ve had several requests to put together a post with favorite gift ideas since Christmas is just barely a month away now. The goodies I’m sharing today are those that I know to be awesome because either I own them myself, or I’ve given them as gifts in the past and they were well received. Please feel free to bookmark this post to refer back to if you haven’t yet started your holiday shopping. Over the next month, I’ll try to periodically share gift-worthy treasures as I come across them during my holiday shopping.
If you don’t already have your wrapping paper picked out, this is one of my all-time favorites and I’m happy to say it is back again this year!
I just purchased a few more rolls, so happy that it’s still being produced. It makes me laugh every time I see it. Plus, you get a lot of each roll, they do not skimp! You’ll find it available here: Christmas Vacation Wrapping Paper.
This is my favorite scent of all the Woodwick Candles. Love the crackling sound these candles make, like you’re sitting near a fireplace. This is a wonderful gift for the candle lover and it’s available here: Woodwick Fireside Candle.
Of course, you knew I’d include this awesome back-saving puzzle board. I have purchased this adjustable puzzle board so many times now, twice for myself and three times as gifts for friends and family. Once you do a puzzle this way, you’ll never be able to face going back to bending over a table. It spoils you quickly! You’ll find it available here: Puzzle Board.
When I moved into the Dollhouse, I purchased this blowdryer. It is amazing and so much quieter than the dryer I’ve been using back home in Georgia. It also dries my hair super fast, it’s powerful! I liked it so much, I decided to buy another one for the Georgia house but discovered it’s no longer available. Fortunately, I found another one that looks almost exactly like this one, it may be the newest version. You’ll find it available here: Negative Ionic Blow Dryer.
I always include this beautiful tissue holder in my Christmas gift recommendations. It feels substantial and so well made! It’s a great gift for anyone who loves birds or nature. I have several here in my home in Georgia and purchased another one for the Dollhouse. You’ll find it available here: Tissue Holder for Bird Lovers.
This is mine and my daughters-in-love’s favorite slipper, really it’s a great shoe to wear full-time inside. A lot of people even wear it outside since the sole is designed where that can be done. I own several pair and can’t recommend it highly enough. It has arch support built in, is incredibly comfortable and so warm! You’ll find it available here: Tasman Slippers.
I purchased these earrings several years ago and still enjoy wearing them today. They don’t irritate my ears like a lot of earrings do. They are just so pretty so I think they would make a great gift. You’ll find them available here: Butterfly Earrings.
If you have a crafter or booklover on your Christmas list this year, give them an adorable Book Nook for their bookshelf! I had so much fun putting this one together!
You’ll find this particular design that features an adorable bookstore here: Book Nook Library Kit.
This one would be great for anyone who loves gardening or flowers. You’ll find it available here: Book Nook Garden House.
Wow, it was 28° outside when I took this photo one year. It’s 61° out right now as I type this now. I’ll take 61° over 28° any day! Folks don’t think it gets cold here in the south, but Oh, yes it does! Our spring arrives a month earlier and our fall starts a month later than a lot of northern states, but we definitely experience a full autumn and winter season here in the Atlanta area. The great thing about winter is it makes me so look forward to spring! But that’s not why I’m sharing this photo. Ha! What I’m really sharing is this awesome phone and tablet stand. I’ve given the phone stand to several friends and they have all reported back how much they enjoy and use it. It is completely adjustable for so many different angles—awesome to use on a desk when you are tired of holding your phone, especially if you have a larger/heavier phone as I do. You’ll find the phone stand here: Adjustable Phone Stand and the Tablet/iPad stand here: Adjustable Tablet Stand.
I had so much fun playing this game with my grandsons, I bought one for myself. It’s a great way to pass these upcoming cold winter days we have ahead of us. Definitely recommend this game for gift-giving! You’ll find it available here: Catan.
If you’re giving someone a wool or cashmere sweater this year, include one of these awesome Cashmere protective pouches for storage. They will keep those wool/cashmere-eating critters out and preserve those beautiful sweaters. I keep my cashmere scarves inside, as well. It would make a great gift all by itself. You’ll find it available here: Cashmere Protection Pouch.
I include this beautiful weather station in every gift guide I create. I have four here in Georgia (dressing room, office, kitchen and basement and I refer to them evyer single day. Plus, they are just so pretty, love how they look!
It’s such a must-have for me, I bought one for the Dollhouse kitchen.
Then later I purchased a second one for the Dollhouse office.
This weather station makes a wonderful gift, very much recommend it for friends or family! You’ll find this beautiful weather station available here: Weather Station.
As mentioned on Monday, the Lego Home Alone house is back! This was such a blast to put together, loved every single moment of it!
For the Lego lover or Home Along Movie fan in your family, you’ll find this iconic Lego set available here: Lego MaCallisters’ House. (Pssst: It’s an interactive build so enjoy playing with it once it’s complete. There are lots of little Easter eggs hidden to find, too!)
I gave this to my beautiful daughter-in-love a few years back and she still tells me how much she enjoys using it.
I wonder if I could fit one across the Cinderella tub in the Dollhouse. I think when I’m next there, I’ll measure just to see.
If you or your gift recipient loves taking a long luxurious bath, you’ll love this tray. Imagine reading on your iPad or Kindle by candlelight, while sipping your favorite beverage in a warm, cozy tub this winter. Yes, please! You’ll find this luxury bamboo tray available here: Bamboo Bathtub Tray.
Have a music lover on your Christmas list? My son loves this Bose portable speaker and uses it all spring, summer, and fall when he’s grilling outdoors. He often takes it along on camping trips, too. The music comes out all the way around the speaker, not just from one side, so everyone can enjoy the music no matter where they are sitting. Great speaker and very much recommend! You’ll find it available here: Bose Portable Speaker, Water Resistant.
Love my Bose noise-canceling cordless earbuds! They are life savers when traveling/flying and I use them here at home when my lawn or my surrounding neighbor’s lawn are being serviced. Completely blocks out those noisy blowers and lawnmowers!
They’ve changed the case and I think the design/shape of the new case is more purse and pocket-friendly. You’ll find these awesome wireless earbuds available here: Bose Quiet Comfort Wireless Earbuds.
Bonus: Stocking Stuffer: These are delish and would make a great stocking stuffer, if they last that long. Ha! I speak from experience! You’ll find them available here: Ferrero Rocher, 16 Count Gourmet Assortment.
Hope you find these gift ideas helpful as you complete your holiday shopping this year!
Love all your recommendations. I’ve been looking for a DIY sewing/quilt Book Nook but can’t seem to find any available. Over the years I’ve purchased many of your gift suggestions. Thank you and Happy Holidays!
That would be so cute! I’ll keep my eye out and let you know if I see one, Mary.
Thank you so much. My travel partner quilts/sews and I thought it would be a terrific gift for her. They were selling on another website but have since indicated “no longer available”, but the website doesn’t give a reason. Again, love your blog, recommendations, gift ideas!
Over the past years, I’ve purchased several of your recommendations and I’ve loved them all. I think that puzzle board may be at the top of my list!
i love my weather station and have a few people in mind to gift to!
So many good ideas and for so many different interests. Top of my list would be the Uggs boots and glass house book nook. So that in February, my feet would be so comfy while I gaze longingly into the little potting shed!
Hello Susan – Just love the look of the colorful weather station that you recommend. I was wondering if it is connected wirelessly with some kind of outdoor device that you have on your property to get the local information it displays, like the rainfall amount, wind speed, etc.
Thank you so much for these helpful suggestions!
Yes, it comes with a “remote sensor” that you place outdoors someplace. I always place the sensor in an area that’s protected since I’m not sure how it would work if it were where it could be rained on or had the sun beating down on it. I placed the sensor in Georgia out on my screened porch and the one in Ohio is in back underneath that part of the sunroom that protrudes out from the house and is surrounded/protected by lattice work. The directions that come with the station are very detailed so it’s easy to set up.
Susan
I love your Xmas list of items.
I have treated myself to several of the items you have shared with us.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
