When autumn arrives and the cooler weather starts moving in, my heart tells me it’s time to bring out all the woolly throws, make a nice, steaming mug of hot cocoa, and pull a book from my shelves that I know will be filled with cozy imagery and charming stories.
In today’s post, I’m sharing some of my favorite cozy “house” books–homes filled with beautiful warm, rich interiors. These are the books I crave this time of year–they are like a soft, warm blanket for my winter-dreading mind.

Happy cozy reading!
Susan, we love the same books. I have every one of these except one. I share your perfect autumn afternoon! Enjoy your day!
Ohh, I love that, Pam! 🙂
Ahh – practically my favorite thing to do on a fall day – or any day! Add the hot chocolate and it’s perfection. I can’t wait to check out all your recommendations – thanks!
Snuggling up with one of these books is perfect. I have some I’ve read over and over and still find new inspiration.
Thank You for this inspiring book list. Gladys Taber’s books are another great list of books to read during the Autumn.
