Welcome to the 811th Tablescape Thursday! Elena created a beautiful spring table setting this year for her family for Easter. Elena said, “I decided to use our Corner Ruby bunnies, so I pulled out a white on white vintage tablecloth thinking it might not be so busy.”
The bunnies are soooo pretty! Oh my gosh, what a wonderful collection! Love them all!
Elena said, “I used the Villeroy and Boch basket chargers, but this time I placed an antique dinner plate on top. All my salad plates covered the design too much, and the pink glass just did not look right. My daughter was the one who chose to just place the napkins on the plate. I’ve never used these plates before. I didn’t really like them when I first got them…they were my maternal grandmothers. Replacements Limited could not identify the pattern, but I later found some plates that still have the silver Andrea Sadek stickers on them. The colors of the plates are great, we pulled green, pink and yellow out of the design for the napkins and napkin rings. My Perrier-Jouet glasses do that as well.”
Elena shared a wonderful story about the flatware that she used in this spring table. Elena said, “The cutlery is Japan stainless. Great story—My father had a flower shop in Manhattan on Lexington Ave and 77th St. Angelo Vivilo’s Italian restaurant was in the neighborhood, so we went there often. My mother fell in love with the cutlery, so my father had Angelo order a set for her. She loved it so much, I don’t think she ever used it! Angelo’s restaurant was there for 40 years and only recently closed.”
Beautiful Villeroy & Boch Basket charger!
Here’s a closer view of the Perrier-Jouet stemware, such pretty delicate glasses!
Thanks so much to Elena for sharing this beautiful spring table setting. Looking forward to seeing all the beautiful table settings linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

Hi, this really elevates Bunnies to a Chic level…such a pretty table. Love all the distinguished dishes and accents, balancing out the cuteness!
Thank you Sandra! I like the way you put it, “balancing out the cuteness”! I have to remember that, it did work out well!
I love that pattern of flatware! Bunnies are cute too!
Thank You Anita! The flatware is Marchesa by Towle.
❤️ the history making these “cherished items,” etc. franki
Thank You Franki! That’s what makes it so special, hope our kids think of them that way one day also!!!
Such a beautiful tablescape! Job well done.
Thank you so much Maureen!
What a great collection of plates. I love the one on top. It’s just what you needed in the mix of colors and patterns.
Exactly what I thought Chloe! I really did not like the plates when I first got them……….I think the plates brought out all the colors in the Corner Ruby pieces.
That is beautiful! I love the colors, and Elena’s mixed them perfectly. It all harmonizes with those darling bunnies. What a wonderful Easter table! Thanks to both of you for sharing, and you for hosting once again!
Thank you so much Barbara! This one came together fairly easily with plates I really did not like at first!
Hi just curious, what is below the basket weave charger? With the cabbage leaf look to it? Is it ceramic, stoneware, fabric? Truly a lovely finishing touch.
Hi Patti, They are Pier One cabbage leaf placemats, from some time ago. I think Susan has used them in several different tablescapes.
How adorable! Thank you Susan and Elena!
Thanks for joining us Jenna!!!
Just gorgeous ! I love the chargers…and the glasses, too !
Thank You Ann!
Hi Elena,
How nice to inherit something from your grandma like that. I think they’re very pretty and the pink napkins were a perfect compliment to the dishes. I also like the little bunny place-card holders. So sweet. The story of your dad’s shop, Angelo’s restaurant, and your mom’s love of the cutlery was a great one to share. I love family history / stories like that. How nice your dad got that cutlery for your mom! Thanks for sharing your Spring table and thanks, Susan, as always, for sharing.
I’m so glad you appreciate it all Pam! It’s nice to have different pieces bring up different memories! It was so nice to put it together with my daughter. One day she’ll have her own memories for these pieces. My Mom loved the flatware so much I don’t think she used it more than once. Thank you for the kind words!
This table couldn’t be more perfect! I just love the colors and the history of the dishes. Well done!
Thank You Martha! It was a lot of fun to put it together!
Lovely table Elena! Those bunnies are precious and the place settings are beautiful – love pink with green. Your grandmother’s plates are really pretty and I loved the story behind the flatware. Thank you for sharing and thanks Susan for hosting. Happy Thursday!
Thanks so much Kim! I really enjoy using items from different generations, the memories make it so enjoyable, glad you liked it!
I love the dishes and cutlery! The table setting is beautiful!
Thank You so much Elaine!!
