Today we walked the short 10-minute stroll into town to have lunch and do a bit of shopping in the beautiful historic area of Breckenridge. I didn’t expect to find so many cute things!
I purchased an adorable pair of P.J. Salvage flannel pajamas (wearing them now!) and the coziest hoodie I’ve ever touched from a brand/store named, Alyth. I can’t wait to start wearing it!
The inside of the hoodie is rich and velvety soft, and the hoodie itself feels like true luxury.
If you’re a hoodie lover as I am, you’ll find the one I purchased available in 6 colors here: Luxury Hoodies. I went with gray for my first one from the brand, but I really want the pink one, too.
In another cozy shop, I spotted these cute Dolce Vita sneakers. I tried them on and that was it…just take my money! lol The flowers are on both sides of the shoe–love that!
I’m not familiar with Dolce Vita, but my daughter-in-law is and spoke highly of their shoes. Here’s a photo from their website showing them in brighter lighting. Sooo cute! I can’t wait to wear these this summer! You’ll find them available here: Daisy Sneakers.
There are so many great sales going on right now! Talbots is having a great spring sale, and this top is included.
I love the colors and the way it’s designed with a contrasting collar and cuffs. I love that Talbots continues to carry shirts that are designed this way! You’ll find it currently on sale here: Floral Top for Spring.
Such a beautiful sweater, perfect for spring! You’ll find it available in two colors here: Beautiful Spring Sweater.
There’s another big spring sale that just started…this one is on Amazon. If you’re a fan of the Amazon Fire tablet, their latest version of this tablet is currently on sale. In addition to the sale, they are offering a discount when trading in an older version of the tablet. You’ll find the sale and the trade-in offer here: Fire Tablet on Sale.
I’ve never read Anne of Green Gables, but when I saw this book mentioned several times in a thread where everyone was sharing their most favorite book ever, I decided it was time I read it. I ordered it but didn’t get a chance to start reading it before leaving for Colorado.
Since the beautiful hardback version is currently on sale for a little over $6, I ordered it again on Monday so I could start reading it now while I’m on vacation. I’ll probably end up giving away the other copy that I’ve never started as a gift. If it turns out to be a favorite like The Secret Garden, I may end up keeping both. It’s such a beautiful book, it would be lovely out on a table in my guest room. I think it would make a wonderful gift! You’ll find the hardback version on sale here: Anne of Green Gables, Hardback for $6.39.
I’ve discovered that Puffin has released several classic titles with beautiful covers, including Heidi. I loved this book when I read it growing up!
If you love collecting beautiful, much-loved classics, you’ll find this set on sale here: 4-Book Classic Collection: Anne of Green Gables, Heidi, Little Women and A Little Princess.
They’ve also put together a charming Jane Austen collection, too. Emma is available here: Emma by Jane Austen.
The covers are so pretty–too pretty to hide them away on a bookshelf. I’ve read these in the past, but I’m going to order this set and place them around the house to enjoy seeing them every day. Again, these would make wonderful gifts! You’ll find the full collection available here: Jane Austen Book Collection.
As I was shopping the sale, I came across this beautiful floral gardening tool set and thought how nice they would be as a gift for Mother’s Day. Not sure I could bring myself to use them, I’d probably end up decorating a potting table, potting shed, or mudroom with these. You’ll find them on sale here: Floral Gardening Set.
Stanley Cup has joined in the spring sale and both their 40 and 30 oz Quenchers in the color, Mist, are currently on sale here: Stanley Cup Quencher, on Sale.
The adorable protective cat/bunny boots that I purchased recently for my 40 oz Stanley are also on sale. You’ll find those here: Protective Cat and Bunny Boot for Stanley Cup, 40 oz.
I noticed this pair of headlamps is currently on sale. My son always wears a headlamp when grilling out after dark. These make great gifts, too. You’ll find this set on sale here: Headlamp Flashlight, Great for Grilling or Working in Dark Spaces.
If you’re looking for a fun way to decorate for Easter, these adorable bunny ear baskets are currently included in the spring sale. The ears are removable, making the basket great to use throughout the year.
It comes in two colors, and you’ll find them available here: Easter Basket with Removal Ears, Includes Removal Name Tag. You’ll find a smaller version in a variety of colors here: Bunny Easter Basket.
When the sales hit, I always check to see if my favorites are included. It appears my favorite all-purpose cleaner and window cleaner are currently on sale. You’ll find those here: Super Cleaner and here: Perfect Glass.
A favorite hair product I shared recently is also on sale. You’ll find Rusk on sale here: Rusk, Adds Body and Texture to Fine or Lazy Hair.
Happy Spring Shopping!
Secret Garden was my favorite book as a young girl. My daughter read Anne of Green Gables when she was 12 and loved it as much as Secret Garden. So naturally I had to read Anne too. You will love it. Both books are so dear, hard to find books like that anymore
I can’t wait to read it. I thought I’d have time on our vacation, but never found the time. I know, wish more like that were being written!
What wonderful finds, Susan!!! And those books – oh be still my heart. Some of my all-time favs, too!!!
They are so pretty! Yes, much love favorites!

Nice to see Anne of Green Gables book! I live in Prince Edward Island…which of course is where the book is based (and the birthplace of the author LM Montgomery). Been to the Anne of Green Gables house many times….it’s a short drive from where I live.
Yes! So wonderful that you’ve been able to tour her home…love that!
Susan, I predict “Anne of Green Gables” will be a favorite; how could it not? I loved all of those books so much, but I read them as an adult.PBS did a grand series with Megan Follows several years ago, and it was so enjoyable. My husband and I went to Prince Edward Island, the setting of the books, a few years ago, and it is beautiful. We even went to the home of L. A. Montgomery’s cousin, and that was such a wonderful experience. We also saw where Lucy was born and buried. While I was teaching one of the books with my 7th grade class, my mom read all of the books. Of course, “Secret Garden” was favorite to me as a child, and I can still smell the soil as the author described it. Enjoy!
I bet you’re right! I’ve seen photos of Prince Edward Island during the summertime and it looks beautiful! How wonderful that you were able to visit! I love that you’re mom read those while you were teaching it. ♥♥♥
We’ve lived here since 1983….our daughter was born in PEI….so that makes her a true “Islander”! We are still considered CFA’s (Come From Away)….not far…we were born & raised in our neighbouring province of New Brunswick. We love it here – we came for vacation & then came back to live! (husband’s work brought us here).
Those shoes are da bomb!! HOW CUTE!! YOU DO HAVE “the !!! franki
They are so cute! Can’t wait to wear those this summer.

What a great list. Those shoes are so cute. I’m glad you are having a fun time.
Thanks, Teresa! I’m back now and spent yesterday getting settled in. While I was gone, a rascally raccoon made off with my birdfeeder; I found it in a neighbor’s yard. I think I have it better secured to its hanger so that it can’t happen again.
The Puffin in Bloom Collections are beautiful. My friend has the Jane Austen collection and it is lovely – the books are a bit small but display nicely.
I just finished rereading Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea a few weeks ago. I’m getting ready to start Anne of the Island, which I’ve never read, and my intentions are to finish the eight book series this summer. The books are delightful and the prose is just beautiful. Enjoy!
Love the Easter Baskets! Thanks for sharing.
They are! I know I’m going to end up ordering all of them, they are sooo pretty and so many favorites! I’m sure this book will make me want to read all of them, will be a wonderful way to spend part of the summer. Thanks for mentioning those other titles, Claudia!

Your visit to Breckenridge brings back some great memories. Mr. P & I went there for an anniversary trip one year (early March), and i remember having a ski in/out stay. We’d ski in the mornings and hot tub in the afternoons, watching others ski. The weather seemed much like what you’re having. I learned to ski in WV (we’ve been to Snowshoe too), but there’s nothing like those long and wide slopes at Breckendridge! Mr. P. took me on a blue slope, though and it scared me to death! Very steep and cliffside on one edge. I have a great hand-painted ornament from Breckendridge from one of the little shops there that portrays its scenic slopes. Have fun, Susan ! I love your new tennies!
Funny that you mentioned the cliffs, my son was reluctant to let the boys go ahead of him because of those in a few places. He’s skied Snowshoe a few times with his dad and my grandsons, but Breckenridge seems to be their favorite. There’s such a variety of slopes! Love that you brought back an ornament…such a great way to remember special vacations! ♥
Anne of Green Gables will transport you to a lovely place and time. My favorite. And the tv series with Megan Fellows is one of the best things I ever saw on tv!! I think you will love them both!
Oh, I will have to look for that online once I’ve read all the books. Thanks, Sheri!

Those books are among my favorites. The daisy shoes are so adorable!!
Thanks, Merri Jo! Looking forward to wearing them this summer.
