Welcome to the 879th Tablescape Thursday! Update: The party is now active! Yay!
Since I don’t have a lot of my dinnerware here at the Dollhouse, I thought I’d combine two ideas together for today’s post. On this last day of July, let’s enjoy a Christmas in July Teascape, combined with a Before and After. Normally, this area of the office looks like this, but there’s been a new addition.

The pretty scalloped ottoman that I ordered arrived yesterday.

Let’s celebrate with a little holiday teascape.

I pulled out my Better Homes and Gardens tray and combined it with Lenox Winter Greetings for today’s Tablescape Thursday. This BH&G pattern was available in Walmart for many years, but I think that it’s been discontinued now. You can still find it available on eBay. The large trays are wonderful to display on a kitchen counter during the holidays, so I very much recommend picking one of those up if you can find one.

Here’s a better photo showing the tray when it was still available in the store.

And displayed on my kitchen counter…love the shape and size!

Winter Greetings by Lenox is one of my favorite dishware designs for Christmas, but really, the pattern works beautifully throughout all of winter. If you’re a bird lover, you’ll love this pattern!

I’ve used it in several table settings over the years.

Winter Greetings is currently on sale here: Lenox Winter Greetings and here: Lenox Winter Greetings. I’m so glad that it’s still being made and hasn’t been discontinued!

A few close-ups of this beautiful pattern…

I’m pretty happy with how the ottoman looks here—it fills out this space nicely. (Ottoman is available here: Rattan Scallop Ottoman.)

Here’s a closer view of the cushion fabric; it has a beautiful herringbone design that looks and feels rather high-end. I love the firmness of the cushion, too. When I sat on it, it barely sank at all, so it feels well-made and like a quality piece.

I love that the cushion is removable. If I were actually having tea in this spot, I’d probably remove the cushion and place the tray directly atop the ottoman. Also, I really love how the rattan looks with the rug in this room! (Rug is available in various colors and sizes here: Handmade Wool Rug.

Hope you enjoyed this teascape and office update/reveal. Check back later today, and hopefully, I will have found a solution as to why Cloudflare is blocking the InLinkz TT Party code from being added to the blog.

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

Susan, that ottoman is just adorable—perfect in your space!
Thanks so much, Merri Jo! The party is now active, finally got it to work!
Isn’t that ottoman just almost too perfect! I love everything about it! Just the touch you needed for your little reading nook!
Thanks so much, Vickie! It is such a cute addition to the office. I love its shape!
The party is now active, finally got the code to work!
That ottoman is perfect – and your “tea scape”…well, it’s storming here and I would just love to plop in one of those comfy chairs with a good book and a pot of tea! Enjoy!
Thanks so much, Ann! I hope that storm gets past quickly! We had rain here, but thankfully, no storm. Good news! The party is now active, finally got it to work!
I’m so pleased the ottoman arrived safely and you are happy with it. It does pick up colors from the rug and it blends well with the cute circular table, as well. And speaking of blending well, the Winter Greetings tea set looks wonderful with the Better Homes and Gardens tray.
Sorry about your technical troubles, Susan. I hope the cavalry is on the way.
Thanks so much, Pam! I finally got it to work, deleted the old party and created all new code and this time, it’s working. Yay!
LOVE that Christmas china pattern – the red ribbon is so pretty! Your ottoman is so fun too – you’ll be so cozy in there with your tea! I’ll check back and keep my eyes open for the InLinkz button – I always love this party! Thanks!
Thanks so much, Barbara! It’s finally working. I deleted the party I set up last night and created a whole new one and now it’s working. Maybe something got fixed, just glad it’s finally working. 🙂
Love this! And I love the lamp you have there, but a wicker lamp would tie it all together.
Thanks, Kathy! Funny you should mention that. 🙂 I do have a rattan lamp in the same color in that room. It’s on the console behind my desk. You can see it in this post: https://betweennapsontheporch.net/my-june-favorites-including-fashion-home-decor-gifts-and-personal-hygiene/
Your purchase was SUCH A FIND!!! That herringbone pattern has “always spoken to me!!!”That rug is a WINNER, imo!! Fun w/tea! franki

That ottoman really completes the setting, like a missing puzzle piece. Looks so cozy and we too are having storms passing through so that corner looks extra cozy. Having a winter’s setting in July is quite fun. Respectfully requesting ♀️the reverse idea in January. Also noticed the GA home artwork on the wall!
lol I know, we need encouragement in the winter, that spring is on its way!
Good eye! My DIL commissioned one of the paintings from an artist she knows. If I’m remembering correctly, I think she gave me the summer painting first. Later, she had the same artist paint the winter scene from a photo that was taken by my neighbor, who used to live across from me. It was during one of those epic snowstorms that Georgia gets every few years. The first painting was hanging in the Georgia house, and I brought it up since I thought they would look great together. They are such thoughtful, special gifts that I will always cherish. I need to have that artist paint the Dollhouse, don’t I?
Maybe for the Dollhouse, make it in spring and fall. Then you’d have all 4 seasons.
Something happened to my two emojis; first one was woman with raised hand and the second one was a smiley. Oh well
Love, love, love the ottoman! Absolutely perfect !!!!!!
Thanks so much, Lee! ♥
Love that ottoman, Susan, and what a cute Christmas in July teatime. Hoping for a change in weather pattern tonight that’s in the forecast! I dont like winter, but boy, this heat has been unbearable lately.
It’s drastically cooler here today, only 74°. Feels so good after the extreme temps we’ve been having. I hope you guys get some relief, too! One blessing through the extreme highs is that we’ve been getting rain pretty frequently. I think that’s what has saved the lawns and flowers here.
Susan, your ottoman is just beautiful!! I love the rattan pieces with the scalloped bottoms. It looks wonderful in your seating area! And I love the tea set-up on the BH&G tray!!! I have one of those trays, and you have given me a great idea, as always!
I surely wish Better Homes and Gardens would make that series of Christmas plates available again! I love the tray and would have bought one if I had seen it at Walmart. It is perfect for your Christmas in July tea setting.
I have the same rug in my bedroom…..love it in your office and really love the chairs with the beautiful fabric! Would love the fabric name….
thanks for all your ideas.
Thanks so much, Brenda! I’m not sure of the fabric name, but I found those chairs at Home Depot here: https://bit.ly/4fp0NV8 .
Wayfair had them, as well. https://bit.ly/3IWB77t .
When I just now did a search, it appears Amazon had them at one point, too. https://amzn.to/4oinsYD
They appear to be out of stock right now at those three places. Since they were such great sellers, I bet they will come back in stock. So you may want to bookmark those sites and check back every so often.
