If you’ve been reading BNOTP for a while, you know I’m a huge Yeti fan. I really like their coolers and over the years I’ve collected quite a few tumblers. They are always coming out with new colors which makes it tempting to pick up another one. I think my favorite color that they’ve produced is Powder Pink, although, if I could only have one Yeti tumbler, it would be white. Their white tumblers are so crisp and pretty for summer.
When Stanley cups started appearing everywhere on social media, it was easy for me to ignore them since I was perfectly content with my Yeti tumblers. Well, they finally reeled me in with one of their “Limited Edition” cups. (Side note: In case you’re not familiar (like me) Stanley calls their tall 30 oz and 40 oz tumblers, “cups,” though, they are definitely not cup size.)
The Stanley that stole my heart was the Blooming Heirloom tumbler/cup which was part of a collaboration Stanley did with a clothing company named, Love Shack Fancy. Though LSF has several stores in Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina, there’s not a single location anywhere in the state of Georgia. Not sure why. I think the launch of the Stanley-Love Shack Fancy collab took place back around September 2024. As often happens with special collaborations, all the Stanley-LSF cups sold out within minutes of the launch going live, or at least that’s what many Stanley fans are reporting on Reddit and YouTube. So the only place to purchase a Blooming Heirloom Stanley at this late date is on eBay or similar sites online.
I can state with 100% certainty that there are a ton of Stanley-Love Shack Fancy fakes on eBay. A ton! There are several videos online sharing how to spot real Stanley cups from fakes (like this one HERE) and it seems the most obvious telltale sign is the placement of the handle. Notice in the photo below how the handle on the real Stanley cup attaches just underneath the metal rim near the top. The handle of the fake Stanley attaches further down. So you have to be super careful about vetting anyone from whom you purchase a tumbler. Obviously, it’s best to purchase them directly from Stanley, but unfortunately, that’s not possible with Limited Edition tumblers that sell out immediately. (The photo below is from the video linked above.)
After looking through a lot of fake eBay listings, I found one listing that appeared legit. The price was much higher than what the tumbler sold for at launch, but about what I would expect for a popular Limited Edition cup. I have sort of a love-hate relationship with eBay. Sometimes I’m super annoyed at the sellers who buy up products as soon as they launch, but at other times I’m grateful that they do because Stanley Cups were not even remotely on my radar last September when this collaboration launched.
If an eBay seller hadn’t purchased several tumblers that day, I would have been out of luck. I look at the upcharge I had to pay as a nice tip for the seller. I didn’t have to set my alarm clock, get up early on launch day, sit at my computer refreshing the Stanley website a million times per minute, stressfully waiting for the start of the launch. Also, I didn’t have to suffer additional stress (as others did) when the initial launch failed and the site was showing everything being “Sold Out” for the first 10 minutes of the launch. Apparently, that was a glitch, and after about 10 minutes, everything became available. Unfortunately, everything in the collaboration really was sold out around 10 minutes later. So, you had to be Johnny on the spot and persevere through all the initial antics to score anything. Honestly, I’d rather buy an item like this from an eBay seller and pay more than go through that kind of stress on launch day. So Yay for the eBay sellers who are willing to go through that!
My Stanley Blooming Heirloom cup arrived yesterday. Prior to my purchasing it, the seller had provided a receipt showing that she purchased the tumblers directly from Stanley. She shipped the unopened, still-sealed box to me, so I was able to enjoy the full experience of unboxing the new tumbler just as if I had ordered directly from Stanley myself. Inside the box, I found the tumbler wrapped in this beautiful paper that I had seen when watching several YouTubers unbox their Stanley tumblers. Such pretty paper! This really felt like a luxury experience, like something you would experience when shopping with a luxury house.
Inside, I found this beautiful box. Stanley and Love Shack Fancy did such a great job with combining their brands for this collaboration!
I tried to take photos during each step so you could experience this unboxing just as I did.
All the Stanley cups come with a straw. For this Limited Edition tumbler, they designed a special straw cap/cover in the shape of a bow. So darn cute!
Here’s the Limited Edition Blooming Heirloom Stanley cup. I added the bunny boot on the bottom. I kept seeing photos online of Stanley cups with a little protective thingy on the bottom to protect the metal bottom from getting dented. After a little searching online, I discovered they are called “boots” and there are a bunch of adorable ones available online.
I purchased this inexpensive boot set here: Stanley Cup Boots. I loved it so much after it arrived, I purchased a second set as a backup, just in case one gets damaged or lost.
The same day that I purchased the Blooming Heirloom cup, I also purchased a Limited Edition Stanley “Barbie” cup. When I was growing up, I always wanted a Barbie. All my friends had Barbies and I remember thinking that they must be very expensive since I never got one, not even from Santa. So, sadly I missed out on all the Barbie fun back in the day.
When the Barbie movie came out last year, I watched it for the colorful sets and costumes. Having watched the trailer, I was pretty sure I wouldn’t care for the movie too much, but the costumes and the sets were amazing! It was worth watching just for that. Anyway, after watching the movie, I loved the outfit Margot Robbie wore in the opening scene so much, I bought the Barbie they released at that time since she was dressed in the same pretty outfit. So here we are, 60 years later and I finally have a Barbie! Ha!
The Barbie from the movie is available here: Barbie. Did you have a Barbie as a child? Do you still have them? If you’re a Barbie fan, there are quite a few collectors sharing their extensive collections on YouTube. I will NOT be starting a collection. lol Did Barbie have a cat? I don’t remember seeing one in the movie but I thought the kitty boot would look cute on the Barbie tumbler.
Not easy to photograph, but the glitter finish in the design of this cup is really pretty. I love the little details Stanley included on this cup, like the little Barbie silhouette that’s hidden away just underneath the handle. The seller shared this photo with me so I could see exactly where the handle was attached to the cup. You can always spot the good sellers on eBay when you ask for additional photos. Honest, caring sellers are always happy to provide additional photos. Avoid any seller who acts annoyed or inconvenienced if you request additional photos. I was lucky to find such great sellers for the two Stanley cups that I purchased.
I must admit, I’m truly enjoying my first-ever Stanley cup! I took the Blooming Heirloom cup along with me when I ran an errand this morning and enjoyed having it with me. My largest Yeti tumbler holds 30 ozs and the Stanley cups that I’ve purchased hold 40 ozs. I think the larger size will come in handy when I’m making those long trips to and from the Dollhouse.
I’m thinking of purchasing one of these special ice trays that makes ice to perfectly fit inside a Stanley tumbler. The center of the ice is hollow so there’s a place for the drink and the straw. That would be amazing for our hot Georgia summers! There are two tray styles that I like. This style below is available here: Ice Tray for Stanley Cups.
This tray is available here: Ice Tray for Stanley Cups/Tumblers.
They also make replacement Stanley straws in a rainbow colors. I think I may buy a set of the pink ones to keep on hand. Those are available here: Stanley Straw Sets in Many Colors.
I love these adorable straw caps/covers! I’m going to buy a set of these, they are just too cute! You’ll find these available here: Stanely Cup Straw Covers/Caps.
Are you a Stanley Cup fan or have you managed to avoid the craze as I did for so long? I still love my Yetis but I’m really enjoying the Stanley Cup design, too! If you are interested in trying a Stanley cup, you’ll find them available in a variety of colors here: Stanley Quencher.
What a fun post! You really do have an amazing eye for detail.
