Valentine’s Day Table Settings, Great for the Kids

Welcome to the 232nd Tablescape Thursday and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Before Valentine’s Day gets away, I have two last Valentine’s Day table settings to share.  A visit to the home of my friend, Marie, is always so much fun.  I love seeing how she decorates her beautiful home for her grandchildren’s visits and for the holidays.

The basement/terrace level has a full kitchen and is a great spot for the grandchildren to have parties and friends over.  You may remember this area from a previous post here:  3 Party Table Settings with Coca-Cola Dishware and Coke Memorabilia

Terrace Basement Kitchen (Inlaw Suite)

Marie created a wonderful Valentine’s Day setting here on the eat-in bar in her terrace level kitchen.  Come a bit closer, you have to see these adorable plates!

They are decorated with a design that features a sweet old fashioned, Valentine’s Day card.  Love the adorable “heart” napkin rings!

These remind me of the Valentine’s Day cards we gave out when I was in grammar school.

Sooo sweet!

This one says, “Every road to my happiness leads to you, My Valentine.  🙂  Update:  Several folks have asked where Marie found these cute plates.  Marie said she found them in HomeGoods several years ago and on the back it says, “Rosanna.”

Marie didn’t leave out the small eating area on the other side of the kitchen…it got a bit of Valentine’s Day fun, too.

Wish I had gotten a better close up of the silver heart napkin rings.  I love the delicate look of the sheer napkin sheaths with a Valentine’s Day setting and love those fun wine glasses!

Update: Too cute to not share!

While I was visiting in Marie’s home, she showed me something upstairs in her darling granddaughter’s bedroom.  You may remember this photo from a previous post sharing the Christmas decorations in this room.  (Pssst:  You can take the full tour of this room here: Tour a Beautiful Victorian Decorated for Christmas, Part VI)

See the sweet dresser against the wall?

Stored away in the dresser are some adorable tea sets.

When the turret in this room isn’t holding a Christmas tree, it holds a little table and chairs for hosting tiny tea parties. 🙂

I had to share this adorable miniature Valentine’s Day tea set.   Does this not put a smile on your face?  Sooo cute!

I posted a surprise table setting to warm you up for Tablescape Thursday yesterday.  Did you get to see it?  Bonnie created a wonderful tablescape for a Mardi Gras celebration with friends.  You’ll find it here:  Mardi Gras Table Setting

Thanks so much to Marie for having us over to her beautiful home again!

♥ Happy Valentine’s Day to you, sweet Friend! ♥

Looking forward to all the tablescapes for this Tablescape Thursday!

    • Hi Jen,
I bet your link back to BNOTP is for the old blogspot address. The old address will redirect you back to the current address, but Inlinkz won’t recognize it. So just check to make sure the link in your post back to the party is for betweennapsontheporch.net and not blogspot.com. The way to check is to right click on your link and copy the link to the URL address bar or to a word document…then you can see what it says.

  23. Happy Valentine’s Day !!!

HI ladies, i just sat down to read comments. and thanks for the wonderful ones you have written. my plates came from Home Goods some years ago, but i did find some on ebay. the name on the back is Rosanna so i typed in Rosanna Valentine and came up with some. Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone. by the way my Valentines’ Day decorations will stay up until March 1st this year. We are hosting a fundraiser called Hearts for Heros to benefit the Marietta Aviation Museum here in Marietta. so valentines’ day will become Hearts for Heros on march 1. Then Easter goes up. because it is so early i cannot do both St. Patrick’s day and Easter this year. Maybe a little of both out side but inside has to be
    Easter
