Welcome to the 904th Tablescape Thursday! I will be heading back to Georgia before too long, and I’m looking forward to being reunited with my dishware so I can create some winter and spring table settings to share. I plan to stay there for a bit, at least until spring arrives. It should be an interesting trip with two meowing cats in the car with me. Ha! Hopefully, they won’t do that all the way there, which is exactly what they do on trips to the vet!
In the meantime, here are four tables that I hope will keep you thinking warm and cozy thoughts over the next few days as a big winter storm moves across the country. Mother Nature likes to keep us on our toes, doesn’t she?!

Please see yesterday’s post for suggestions of items you’ll want to have on hand for inclement weather this winter: Here’s How I’m Preparing For Challenging Weather. Stay warm and I’m hoping the snow and ice isn’t as intense as they are predicting!
Looking forward to the beautiful tables linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

Oh I love all these tables Susan – especially the outside one for the birds! That is such a fun idea and you made it so beautiful! Can’t wait to see it again as well as the others. Hope you stay snug during the bad weather. Thanks so much for hosting, and Happy Thursday!
I really don’t like cold weather and short days. I have SAD and the reason I moved to a warmer climate. They are talking about how many states will get this extreme cold. Love the bird plates and the dog in his winter hat. Did you purchase a crystal snowflake this year for your collection? The cats could use some catnip for the trip. Treats are “cookies” here. Charleigh is the Cookie Monster. Spike Jones doesn’t like the baby quilt over her crate when it’s cold, so she pulls all the filler out of it during the night. Instead of a day care center, I have a cat care center. So spoiled and in charge. The trip to Georgia will be exciting. Have you ordered a new set up and litter box for there? Maybe a bed pad or inexpensive tarp for under the carrier for the trip. Stay warm!
Especially like the tablecloth in the first setting. It looks like a throw or tapestry-like item. Catnip sounds like a great idea! And they will go bonkers with all the new territory to explore!
What a great walk down memory lane, Susan. The Mystery Table is still one of my all time favorites. I have a few that I particularly love. I also love that Raven and mercury glass tablescape at Halloween and the Christmas table with the Dept 56 neighborhood. All so detailed and beautiful. Thanks for the post and be safe driving back. I know you’ll be happy to be warm again (hopefully it will be warm!)
Meowing all the way?? Oh yeah, it can happen. My husband and I had a heck of a nine hour drive back in 1987 when we were relocating from Arkansas to Atlanta with our two cats in tow. Oddly enough the one who I just knew would be the trouble maker was quiet as a mouse. Not a peep out of her. And the other one, Maggie, who was usually chill and sweet as pie turned into an absolute HELL CAT! I won’t bore you with all the details. But I will admit to you that as we were getting close to Jackson, MS I considered finding a vet and begging (paying) them to take this crazed cat off my hands! We finally decided to try and just sedate Maggie more with the anti-nausea meds our vet had given us for the trip. We kept giving her pills but they didn’t work that well while we were on the road. The drugs finally kicked in big time when we got to our new home in Sandy Springs. And then there I was crying like a baby cause I thought I had overdosed and killed her! And get this, a mere three years later those same two cats relocated with us from Atlanta to….Oregon! This time a flight was involved. My husband and I had seats at the very back of the plane and about the time we were getting ready for takeoff I hear this cat meowing from the cargo area. You guessed it. Manic Maggie was at it again!!!
