Remember back around Christmas time when I took you shopping at the Queen of Hearts in Alpharetta, Georgia? C’mon…sure you do. Remember, you kept begging on the drive over to stop by the Dairy Queen to get a milkshake and I told you that we had to hurry and get to the Queen of Hearts before all the good stuff was gone. Ahhh, now you remember!
Well, while we were there, we saw this:
Yep, it’s coming back to you now, isn’t it? This darling greenhouse was constructed out of old discarded windows. You can see the full post with lots of closeups of this greenhouse here: Make a Greenhouse from Old Discarded Windows.
Since it was around Christmastime, it was decked out for the season.
Cute, cute, cute!
Well, guess what! It’s still there and come check it out!
Now it’s all decked out for Easter.
Just love this idea and it’s all made from discarded windows
Wouldn’t this be great on a porch or in a sunroom. It would even work in a garden since it’s made from old discarded (recycled) windows.
This greenhouse was listed at $349. Could definitely save a bundle by building your own.
What would you display in here? Plants? Holiday vignettes?
Oh my, so many gorgeous things. I could really get into a ton of trouble in there. Thanks so much for the tour. Hugs, Marty
What a fabulous store, I can't even imagine, I would stand and stare…in awe of all the wonderful treasures and out of fear I might knock something over!!
Be still my ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥!
SO pretty!
Oh how beautiful the conservatory is with Easter goodies in it! I plan on using mine for Christmas too after seeing the one you posted! The transferware booth is just the most beautiful booth I've ever seen…I would have a hissy fit if I was there in person!! Wow -it's just all gorgeous!
Miss Bloomers
Oh my goodness! What beautiful dishes. The green is my favorite. My best friend has the crystal cake stand and dome. It is beautiful.
Oh, that transferware…especially the green! Thanks for sharing all the wonderful photos, Susan.
sigh… ALL the green transferware could come to my house. I would have to "sell" other things probably. And then maybe I get a few of the red/cranberry transfer and the ironstone… sigh…
What a wonderful window-shopping time! Thanks Susan!
Hi Susan! That's my favorite place to shop! I love the transferware booth…fabulous…but expensive! That first area on the left as you enter is fun, too…all the dark wood and burlap. Did you see the fox? Was he still there? Linda and I include a stop by the Q of H each time we go GW hunting! Happy weekend…hugs…Debbie
I am so glad you warned me but even then I did a 'GASP'!! Can't imagine how wonderful in person.
Thanks for taking me along again Susan! I bet as big as that thing is and the $$$, they sell whatever they place inside it. It showcases items so well. You did not have to point out the brown transferware tho.
You know, Susan, I always try to check your blog, but tonight just confirms how creative and dedicated you are to your blog… Meaning, that I enjoy your "trips" and your taking pics of everything you see… So I KNOW that if I enjoy it, then ALL of your other fans feel the same, I am sure! Anyway, wonderful job, very engaging! Nice tour!
Best regards,
Gloria
Oh my gosh, how awesome is this place. Geesh!!!! Thanks for sharing.

Hello Susan, Oh MY…what a wonderful place to visit!!! I love transferware so seeing that booth with all the different colors just blew me away. One day I'll find the perfect red piece to bring home. I have lots of blue but I really NEED (want) a few red pieces. One day I'll find exactly waht I'm looking for. In the meantime I'll just keep enjoying your blog and all the wonderful things you take pictures of! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Maura
Talk about dish heaven….I saw alot of milk glass too…where in Alpharetta is this?…..I need to take a trip…
Susan, I'm certain Atlanta and surrounding areas must be the best antique shopping in the country. Makes me want to plan a trip just to check out the antique shops. Thanks for sharing this one. I think you need that cute "holiday" house. I'm sure you have just the spot!
What an incredible place. I can die happy just seeing all that transferware! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Hugs,
Dawn
I need to entice my husband to take a road trip so I can visit this place. Shhhh, don't tell him!
I love going shopping with you, loved seeing all the beautiful things, wow makes me want to visit your wonderful area, but next time could we stop for a banana split on the way home…..oh good thanks…Phyllis
Oh, what a beautiful conservatory! I loved it decorated for Christmas and I love it decorated for Easter. What a great way to display – I could die for all those bunnies! LOL! And that store is fantastic…it's so funny when I was young I didn't give a fig for china and now I drool over it. Thanks for sharing Susan.
Teacup Lane (Sandy)
Oawwwwwwwwwwwww! That is so amazing! I love it!
Transferware and ironstone! Just close the door and lock me in! Oh, how gorgeous!! Now if I could only convince my husband it's worth a 6 hour drive…..
xoxo Pattie
WOWZA!! I have truly never saw so many pieces of transferware in one place!! OMG!! What a great find!! Loved everything about the post!!
Debbie
I can hardly form a cognitive sentence! So many beautiful pieces. It's a good thing I live so far away!
Thank you for bringing us along.
Cheers!
Tina
Susan, thank you for sharing with us. I love that store and want to go! WOW! I would be like a child in a candy store. Now…do you think we could make one those "houses"? Oh my, that will wind up being a project I can done tell! Be blessed. Cindy
Love the glass house! I am going to have to put that on my list of "Things To Make". It would look beautiful sitting in my breakfast room window. Thank you for sharing.
Debbie
Beautiful. Oy….the dusting, that's okay it is so worth it!
OK that transferware booth is AMAZING and I am in awe… but also terrified. I don't think I'd have nerve to step anywhere near it; afraid my butt would knock it all over!
Have a fabulous weekend!
Cass
I'm already planning a field trip from Chicago to Alpharetta, Georgia!! I know that heaven has dishes — could it look like this?
Beautiful photos…..I'll have to stop by. I assuming it's the one by Old Time Pottery? Love the transferware, especially the brown pattern. Hopefully one day you can make it up to Woodstock on an outing. Would love to have you stop by the store. Have a great weekend!
Well, thanks, Susan! I just blew my budget for the year on that transferware! : ) I LOVE the brown and white transferware, and I imagine I would have purchased several, if not a dozen, pieces. That little greenhouse is beautiful and I do remember it from the Christmas visit. I guess it's still there because it's $349. Firm.
What a great place! That green house is so cute…what fun to decorate seasonally!
Of course, I like the transferware best of all!
Oh Susan, you are always tempting me with those wonderful Atlanta treasure shops! I have been wanting a big dollhouse for my table but maybe a Glass House would be even more fun! And I know what you mean about the brown transferware. Somehow several pieces have found their way into my house over the last few years, and I'm not really a brown decor person. But the colors can be like cocoa, or cappuccino, or just soothing! Thanks for the fun visit. Linda
Oh, my! I saw tons of stuff there I would like to buy. I would get into so much trouble in that wonderful store. And my heart did go pitty-pat when the picture of the transferware scrolled up!
I loved visiting Queen of Hearts with you! Thanks for sharing.
Wow! All those dishes are wonderful. Wish I still lived in Georgia.
I live in Cartersville & I'm heading to Alpharetta!! Thank you for featuring this – you made my day!
I'd be in transfer ware heaven in a minute if I could! Up here I'm lucky to see two or three pieces of red transfer ware in a shop – I'm pretty sure that I know where to find every piece in town!
Aah, what a great place. I used to have that glass house but smaller and i sold it to my girlfriend. Shucks i wish now i did not. lol.. I keep seeing them now.. Hmm I wonder if she would sell it back to me…lol..
Well, I didn't think I needed heart pills but I guess so since I almost fell over when I saw that booth!!!!!!!!!!! Mother of Mercy! I could get into a TON of trouble in that store!!! Thank goodness I don't live nearby:):) The conservatory is precious with the bunnies in it! Thanks so much for taking us along on your trip!!! What did you buy????? XO, Pinky
Well I'm here Susan, better late than never.
What an interesting place to shop. I love, love, love it.
It is inspiring. Just need to find that one perfect piece and create a room around it.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I just about had a heart attack looking at all that fabulous transferware and ironstone!
How I wish I lived in Georgia right about now!
For those who are transfixed by transferware, regular doses are available at Nancy's Daily Dish.
She's a frequent participant in Tablescape Thursday, but as a seller is probably a little reluctant to blow her own horn here. She has a giveaway that ends tomorrow — transferware enthusiasts hurry over!
Be still my heart!!! That greenhouse is to die for… and then when I was just recovering, you hit me with the transferware. I am spent!!!! hahaah… Loved it.
What a great place to shop. Oh that Transferware…my love is for the blue, but like you seeing all of those, I am tempted to collect red, no green, no brown.
Looking forward to seeing your bedroom chandelier.
I have a met for Monday too, hoping I have time to get it posted.
Love that place. I was talking about it at the tea but I think you were at the other table. Such great eye candy in the entire store! Went to Scott's Antiques today for the first time but was not a fan:(
Joyce
I will be in GA in two weeks, this must be a stop. I want all the blue, but I really want the beautiful greenhouse.
Uh oh, I just read Sue (Rue) is going..You are in trouble, LOL!
What a great place..and as soon as I saw that conservatory I remembered. I am loving that green transfer ware..and a lot of the other things.
Good thing I live far away..thanks for taking us along!
Oh, just bag the one night of shopping at the Classy Flea and make it an entire weekend of shopping with and seeing all the great places of Atlanta with Susan (like a field trip! HINT, HINT!) :O) You know, like one of those Southern Lady conferences or something similar. I bet I could spend all day in this place! I'm LOVING that black piece similar to the one on your porch. Love that green house too. I don't really think $349 is that bad considering it's cuteness value. I bought a wrought iron birdcage that's similar, and have a hard time deciding what to put in it b/c the floor has slats/isn't solid, but this one is too cute. Bet your new chandy looks nice. See ya' next week for Met Monday.
p.s. My crystal pattern is Lady Anne by Gorham and it looks very similar to the cake plate. Wonder if it is?
OHHHHH…MERCY! I want to be there with you…. I know we could get into BIG TIME trouble!!! ☺
B.
I'm drooling…
Oh, my…I could spend hours just in the transferware booth. What a gorgeous collection! I lived in Atlanta for 20 years and really miss the antique shopping there.
A sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm. My heart actually started beating faster when I saw those rooms with the transferware dishes – I think I might need oxygen if I ever got to visit that marvelous store! I have some pretty pieces that I'll be posting in a day or so. One is a transferware candy dish, the other is a set of 6 dessert place settings. Ciao, bella!
LOVE this place! The cake plate/stand is so beautiful and the red & white transferware is my favorite.
Thanks so much for sharing!
Brightest blessings,
Pat
I was thinking about how cute the green house looked when you hit us with the transferware!!! So gorgeous! I love it and have some in pink and blue. I also have one brown transferware plate and now see I will want more! The green looks lovely too! How did you escape?

Susan, I go there all the time. That is one large booth of china goodies. I have never seen so much! Maybe I will run into you there sometime.
Beautiful Post. I'll bet there are some pretty angry husbands out there, cleaning up drool from their wive's keyboards. Jackie A HUGE Fan
Hello sweet Susan – thank you for sharing such beautiful photos! I'm having to wipe off the drool on my keyboard as I looked at them. I started my brown/white transferware collection a few years ago. I still only have one piece. It's so difficult to find here. You really hit the mother load and I'm so jealous! heehee. Looks like you had a lot of fun.
Blessings,
Marie

Susan, that looks like so much fun! I am wanting one of those windown terrariums! And all those dishes, love brown transferware too, I could so collect it. You don't see it to often though.
That was fun, thanks for sharing,
Linda
Hi Susan!
I would be thrilled if you were at my door! I would be scrambling around to find some dinner for you, because I have been busy working in my yard, but you would be welcomed anytime!
AND, how come you all have the BEST stores? I would be flat broke if I lived near the Queen of Hearts!
Thank you for showing your wonderful shopping trips!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Mary
From Virginia
Gosh I feel like I stumbled into a china shop.
Gooodness – how to chose, how to choose… love the Easter setup in the little 'greenhouse' and I love the black (iron?) Eiffel tower, and needless to say I love the china. Too much to choose from! All gorgeous.
Waht a beautiful shopping trip, thank you. I enjoy your blog, your home and all you do so much!
I almost fell out of my chair this morning reading this lovely post. Next time I visit my folks in Atlanta, my mom and I will definitely be taking a trip to this great store. Thanks for the post!
Oh My. I think I would leave there with a car full of wares! Collecting Valentines is so much easier to store…but these, I would try to find a spot for at least a half dozen or so..
I only wish I had some heart meds, MERCY~ I would not want to leave that shop, I had not idea it existed. Will have to visit that shop very soon. Its less than 30 mile from me.
Oh, about the castle, it's off Crabapple. I watched it being built back in 1973. I would drive up from Sandy Springs each weekend to watch in amazement. I only saw one guy working on it.
Your blog is amazing, you are quite talented beyond belief. My heart has not gotten back to a perfect rhythm since I found it a few weeks ago. I am amazed at your creative talent and your eye for decorating.
I have a question and will email you.
I do love your new entry way, Picture perfect~
OH, i would have died! Can't find anything in Utah BLA.
OH I SO LOVE IT!! YOU are so lucky!
Frenchy
What a wonderful place to shop and browse – I would literally get lost in there. I could probably spend a few days or weeks! Thanks for sharing – Great pictures!
what a treasure trove.
Oh my gosh! I am getting a little faint looking at all of those awesome items. And another thing, your chandelier is gorgeous. So sexy to have it in your bedroom!
Oh Susan, I have just got to get to your neck of the woods, so I can shop in these fab stores you take us to! laurie
