I have a random and fun variety of favorites from the month of July, so let’s dive in. Last month, I added several new tops and dresses to my summer wardrobe. Not having enough hangers, I ordered these. In Georgia, where I have a lot more closet space, I’ve been using the thicker, wooden hangers from IKEA, but with smaller closets here, these have been great. Like wire hangers, they take up very little space on a rod, but I feel like they are much better for clothing than a wire hanger. Plus, the velvet texture keeps tops/dresses in their place—no sliding off the hanger onto the floor. These are super affordable, as well. If you are in need of hangers, you’ll find them available here: Velvet Hangers.

Since adding this refrigerator to my kitchen a year ago, I’ve been wiping the surface down as needed with a damp rag.

Recently, I ordered my favorite stainless steel cleaner since that always works so much better.

If you have stainless steel appliances or perhaps a stainless steel grill, you’ll find my fave stainless cleaner here: Stainless Steel Cleaner.

A gazillion years ago, I purchased this Tupperware spaghetti holder, probably during one of the many Tupperware parties I used to get invited to. Remember those? Do they still have those?

I have always loved it because not only is it great for storing spaghetti after opening a new box, it has a built-in measure for servings, and I have found it to be dead-on accurate. I hadn’t made spaghetti in a while, but recently I made it for my grandsons, and that’s what reminded me of this awesome container. Out of curiosity, I was wondering if it’s still being made, and it is! I guess it must have been super popular to still be around so many years later. I think mine must be at least 30-35 years old! If you often have leftover spaghetti when opening up a new box, you’ll find this awesome storage container designed with a built-in serving/measuring device, available here: Tupperware Spaghetti Storage and Measure.

This is my favorite ready-made spaghetti sauce, and my grandsons love it! You’ll find it available here: Rao’s Roasted Garlic Spaghetti Sauce. Rao makes a ton of different sauces, including Alfredo, Spicy, sauces for sensitive tummies, and so many more. You can see them all here: Rao’s Spaghetti Sauces.

I just ordered my third pink measuring tape last month, and it made me think about how much I like having a measuring tape on each floor of my home, so I don’t have to run up and down the stairs each time I need one. I have this one in Georgia, and purchased a second one right after I moved into the Dollhouse. Last month, I purchased one to keep upstairs since I seem to always be measuring something up there, most recently, the shelves in the master bath, since I was adding another shelf to that cabinet. (BTW, that shelf arrived and it looks great!) If you could use a pretty (I love the color!) measuring tape that works great and is much more reasonably priced than a lot of other brands, you’ll find this one here: Pink Tape Measure.

Of course, I had to mention this whimsical, beautiful scalloped ottoman that I added to the office seating area. It has exceeded my expectations. It’s extremely well-made with a metal support system built in underneath. It’s nice and heavy and very much feels like a quality piece! It’s also a substantial size, so perfect for placing in front of a full-size chair. If you love the look of it, you’ll find it available here: Rattan Scallop Ottoman. Also, it appears to be on sale here: Rattan Scallop Ottoman.

I added this lamp to my office console around the middle of July, then serendipity took me to the rattan ottoman later in the month. Love how that worked out! The quality of this lamp is excellent, very much like the ottoman. I love the added interest/texture it adds to the console. If you could use a nice-sized lamp (it’s 20 inches tall), you’ll find this pretty rattan lamp available here: Rattan Lamp.

Not a July purchase, but sharing this now since they always sell out quickly. I’m sure the eBay sellers are buying them up now to sell in 6 months for double the price. Every few years, Yeti comes out with a camo-style tumbler. I wasn’t collecting them the first year they made a Camo style tumbler, but I have the last one they released, and the current one below that was just recently released.

I love their Camo style tumblers! I love how they made the slider the color of the tumbler! Love it when they do that! If you are a Yeti fan and enjoy collecting and using the more rare ones (I use all of mine all of the time!) or, if you need a Christmas gift for someone who loves hunting, fishing, hiking, or just loves Camo style, you’ll find this tumbler currently available here: Yeti Rambler 30 oz in Wetlands Camo. You’ll find more of Yeti’s awesome “Camo” gear and tumblers here: Yeti Camo Gear.

Happy Shopping!
Update: Thanks to Teresa for letting me know that Talbots is having a huge, end-of-summer clearance. I think the sale may be ending today. The prices are incredible! You’ll find the sale here: Talbots Clearance Sale with Huge Discounts.

Hi Susn!
I’m definitely getting the stainless steel cleaner. Someone suggested to me that I use a mixture with baby oil and Dawn. Made more of mess, really.
Definitely getting this cleaner
Wendy
I love that wicker lamp so much. I sent link to my sis for possibly getting for her beautiful Lake Erie summer home. Drove past Dayton yesterday meeting up with my besties for lunch – and you were on my mind. : – )
I still have my Tupperware Ware spaghetti holder too, but now days I just usually use an entire box and we eat leftovers for several days.
I love the ottoman but with 2 very active cats it would not last long. They love scratching anything with that texture!
I have not had good luck with those hangers. They seem to break almost constantly. Maybe the brand I bought is inferior to yours–hope so for your sake!
I love Rao’s Arribiatta sauce plus a few other. They taste like I made homemade sauce for hours!!Also, your camouflage Yeti reminds me of a giraffe’s spots!
Susan, I have a tape measure in my garage, my office, my bedroom, my kitchen and a mini one in my purse! One is always available when I need it – if I had to go elsewhere to find one I know I would forget what I was looking for!! Haha!
Melanie, you sound like me. I can’t remember from one room to the next what I was looking for. Ha!
My spaghetti holder is 43 yrs old this month, as is most of my Tupperware. My maid of honor had a Tupperware Shower for me.
I Googled Tupperware and the AI Overview answered with this: Old or damaged Tupperware, especially if made before 2010, can pose risks due to potential leaching of chemicals like BPA, phthalates, and heavy metals like lead and cadmium. Heating, scratching, or cracking of plastic containers can exacerbate this issue. It’s generally recommended to replace old, damaged, or pre-2010 Tupperware with newer, BPA-free options to minimize potential health risks.

Susan, do you have any tips on cleaning lids for the Yeti and all other stainless steel tumblers?
When mine need it, I take them completely apart, removing the little slider and the gasket/seal thing. The gasket can be a bit tricky to remove, but it does come off. I only use my Yetis for water, so they stay pretty clean under the gasket, but it removable and replaceable when needed. I haven’t had to replace the gasket on any of mine yet, but I’m sure Yeti sells replacements if/when needed. I’ve also seen them on Amazon.
Hi Susan – I bought that stainless cleaner when you posted about it before and I love it. Really works! I had to laugh at the Tupperware…that is probably the ONE thing I did not own, and would love one! I am still using my hot dog holder, pickle container, and my big bowl to store cookies when I make them for the holidays. I have to go online and see if I can get that pasta container. LOL…I have one of the little pastel containers that look like shot glasses – we use it for our flax seed and every time I see it I think…VINTAGE!
