Welcome to the 763rd Tablescape Thursday! It’s been so warm here this week and I am loving it! I couldn’t resist a sunny, happy table out here on the porch.
I hope you are seeing warmer temps, too!
This has been a busy few days with an electrician here adding new lighting to the basement, crawl-space storage room, and the upstairs hallway. If you missed those posts, click HERE to reach the Home page where you’ll find them all available. The painter will be starting in about a week–adding baseboards, molding, and paint. Looking forward to sharing how everything looks once that’s complete.
The green plates in this table setting are Bordallo Pinheiro and the sunflower salad plates are Maxcera.
I don’t remember where I found the green/white check napkins, probably Pier One if I had to guess, but the sunflower napkins are available here: Sunflowers Napkins.
The sunflower napkins are a recent purchase and this is the first time I’ve used them in a table setting.
The green beaded napkin rings are from Old Time Pottery (I think) many, many years ago. I really like this deep-green, faux, bamboo flatware. I may have purchased this from Neiman Marcus, I know they had it available for many years. Currently, they have their natural-colored faux bamboo flatware on sale here: Bamboo Flatware.
Been ages since I pulled out these cute chicken/rooster glasses. Not sure why, but when I was putting this table together, sunflowers and roosters just seemed to go together.
This rooster pitcher works great as a vase for these faux sunflowers that you’ve seen me use many times over the years. I don’t think real sunflowers are available in the shops right now, or at least I haven’t seen them.
Happy spring!

Such an inviting table Susan! Looks ideal for a breakfast or lunch.
I’ve been wanting a set of dishwashing safe bamboo flatware for a couple of years. You set might push me to do it . The price on Neiman’s website is reasonable.
That price is really reasonable. I do love the look of bamboo!
Susan, you really got me in a sunny mood with your sunflower table! Love the touches of bamboo and roosters to bring it all together.
Thanks so much, Aris!

I love the sunflower table! I look forward to visiting a sunflower farm near my daughter later this year to pick (well…cut) sunflowers for a lovely table! I haven’t seen the green bamboo flatware and I can imagine using with so many different dishes. You always have the BEST items to share with us!
Chloe, when do they normally bloom in your area?
Thanks! I wish I could remember where I found it so many years ago. It is a great color for mixing and matching.
We are lucky in Florida, we have TWO sunflower blooming seasons, right now (May) and then again in the fall. Sometimes you can pick them as late as November or December here. I usually take my granddaughters up in Maryland in August.
Loved this happy cheerful table!
Thanks, Toni!

Susan, your sunflower table is beautiful! So springy and cheerful. I love your new napkins – they look fabulous paired with the green gingham ones. I’m trying very hard to resist them lol. Chloe is right – you have the best items to share. Happy Mother’s day to you!!
I love sunflowers, and that rooster. Speaks spring. Somebody nearby has what I think are called Mexican Sunflowers. Big bush by the road that cheers up everybody passing. I think spring is over here. We were caught in a storm with hail today.
I was surprised to see sunflowers in Publix this week. They had them paired with dark red roses in vases.
Love this cheerful table! There is nothing like sunflowers to lift our moods. Everything about this table is perfect. I have bamboo flatware but haven’t ever been able to find the green. I love your porch. We are very hot here in Memphis – too early for my liking.
