Ready For A Tropical Vacation? Brenda Is Taking Us To Hawaii This Week & I’m So Ready!

Welcome to the 930th Tablescape Thursday! Have you ever taken a vacation or trip that, once you were back home, inspired you to set a beautiful table setting? When I visited Kenya many years ago and stayed at Giraffe Manor, I purchased some giraffe glassware in their gift shop. By some miracle, I managed to get it all the way back home to Georgia in my carry-on bag without any of it getting broken. That glassware ended up being the inspiration for this table setting: African Safari.

Brenda recently returned from a wonderful trip to Hawaii. She had so much fun during her trip; once back home, she was inspired to create a fun tropical-themed table setting. Brenda said, “This table setting was so much fun to create. It reminded me of our recent trip to Hawaii. It was always on my bucket list, and I finally got to go. It was a dream come true!”

“I set it with Cynthia Rowley tropical Toucan and Cynthia Rowley Colour block from Pottery Barn. I did not use a tablecloth, but instead used a runner from the same collection.”

Brenda’s glassware, ombre wine tumblers, is from the same Cynthia Rowley collection.

Such a fun centerpiece!

Brenda said, “The centrepiece was something I put together with some things I found at Home Sense.” Flamingos are available here: Sunbathing Flamingos.)

Love these adorable bowls! They are so cute with the simple surprise design in the bottom. Love that! This Cynthia Rowley pattern is currently on sale here: Cynthia Rowley Tropical Toucan Dinnerware.

Brenda said, “The flatware was from Amazon, as well as the chargers. I tucked each napkin on top of the salad dishes. I am always looking for new ways to display napkins.” Pssst: I have a category page here at BNOTP with links to some fun napkin folding ideas. You’ll find it here: Napkin Folding Tutorials. (Tip: For future reference, that category is under the “TABLESCAPES” category at the top of the blog or on the side menu when reading by phone.)

For the salad plate, Brenda chose another fun design by Cynthia Rowley called Colour Block (Color Block salad plates are available here: Color Block Salad Plates.)

Love this Tropical Toucan design! It’s so perfect for summer!

Here’s a closer view of the sweet surprise design that’s at the bottom of each bowl.

Brenda said, “I love how this table came all together. It reminds me so much of Hawaii and the warm breezes that gently move the palm trees. My dish collection keeps growing as I fall in love with more patterns, and as usual, my husband was part and parcel of helping put together the whole tablescape. He seems to have a perspective that is different than mine at times, which makes it all flow together so nicely.”

Thanks so much to Brenda and Tom for sharing this delightful Hawaii-inspired table setting for this week’s Tablescape Thursday! I’ve been planting perennials in the garden for the past two days, so I could definitely use a tropical vacation right now! Ha! Looking forward to all the beautiful tables linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
