A Beautiful Blue and White Table Setting, Perfect for Mother’s Day

Welcome to the 658th Tablescape Thursday, a blog party sharing beautiful table settings for all occasions!

One of my favorite color combinations is blue and white. I love a room decorated in a blue and white color scheme and love a table setting dressed out in blue and white. Sheri, a lovely BNOTP reader, recently shared a beautiful blue and white table setting she created in blue and white using her Corningware in Cornflower Blue.

Blue and White Floral Pioneer Woman Tablecloth, Spring Table Setting

The foundation of Sheri’s table is a beautiful blue and white tablecloth. Sheri said, “The tablecloth is Pioneer Women’s and is even prettier in person.” I tried to find Sheri’s pretty tablecloth online without success. It was available here but is currently out of stock: Blue and White Tablecloth.

Sheri added a pretty lit burlap and lace runner down the center of her table. (Lit burlap-lace runner is available here: Lit Burlap-Lace Runner.)

Sheri said, “I made the white cross candle and all are battery-operated candles.” Sheri and Warren both inspire me with how they decorate the candles they use in their table setting. (See Warren’s table here: A Beautiful Peacock Inspired Table Setting.)

Beautiful Blue and White Tablescape

Sheri’s beautiful salad plates were a Goodwill find. Sheri said, “My dishes are the old Corningware Cornflower blue and I still love it. The white scalloped chargers are from Hobby Lobby. The blue stemmed glasses are from an Arby’s promotion (yes, Arby’s food) had many years ago. And the pretty salad plates are from Goodwill.

My blue salt and pepper shakers are from a garage sale, as are the linen napkins. Got the napkin holders years ago in Tuesday Morning. So you don’t have to spend a lot to have a pretty table. This just said Spring to me. As you can see, my favorite color is blue! Hope you enjoy!”

It’s so true! You don’t have to spend a lot to create a beautiful table! This would be a wonderful table for Mother’s Day this weekend, or really any day. Sooo pretty!

Thanks so much to Sheri for sharing photos of her beautiful blue and white table setting. I love seeing what you create in your own homes each week!

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.

That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.) If you see a post that’s not table setting related, please let me know and I’ll remove it.

This is a great tablescape! I love the way the blue pops out. Well done, Sheri

  5. I agree with Sheri that the table shouts Spring! That tablecloth is perfect to anchor a blue and white table setting, and what a great buy! (If it were only available, lol.) The blue and white candle holders play off it so well.

Susan, I always learn something from you and others about tablescaping. I’ve never heard of a light up table runner before!! Unique.
Sheri did a great job demonstrating how finds at Good Will and garage sales can pull a table together. Inspiring! Thanks to both for sharing.

I love the Corelle plates, they are a trip down memory lane! My mom used Corelle blue and white plates and cornflower blue Corning Ware for cooking, this brings back many childhood memories. I see a lot of Corelle and Corning Ware sold as vintage/antiques in antiques malls, and they aren’t cheap. So I kind of feel like an antique myself LOL. I absolutely LOVE the tablecloth, I’m surprised it’s from Pioneer Woman, it looks more like something gorgeous from Ralph Lauren or April Cornell. Thank you, Susan, for another lovely Tablescape Thursday! XO

  7. Wonderful – Sheri’s table is lovely! I love that tablecloth and the beautiful candle holders! Thanks to both of you for sharing! Happy Thursday!

  8. Brenda S Lawrence says

Sheri’s table is just gorgeous! I love that it didn’t cost a fortune to put together. Just goes to show what you can do with what you have. Happy Mother’s Day to you both! Hugs, Brenda

  9. I found/bought this 60 by 102 inch tablecloth today on EBay. It was too pretty to resist. It’s new in package and I got it for $28.00. There are a few more of this tablecloth available in various sizes, they’re reasonably priced.

    • I also noticed that Mercari has quite of few of this tablecloth in different sizes, all reasonably priced. I’m feeling lucky today!! While I was surfing Mercari, I stumbled across another Ma Maison round dinner plate and round salad plate. The price for both of them was $45.00, about out half the prices I found at EBay. :0) Happy Friday and Mother’s Day, Susan! :0)

  10. I love blue and white! Great table setting for Mother’s Day!

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
