Welcome to the 607th Tablescape Thursday!
Since Mother’s Day is this coming weekend, for this week’s Tablescape Thursday I’m sharing nine tables I’ve put together over the years that would easily work as a table setting for Mother’s Day. These tables aren’t just for Mother’s Day, though–they would work well for a spring or summer table setting, too.
This is going to be a really strange Mother’s Day for so many because even though their mothers may still be here, they may not actually be able to see or visit them. Hopefully, when Mother’s Day rolls around next year, things will be a lot more normal.
Happy spring to you! I hope you and your loved ones are staying well!

Tablescape Thursday
If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.
That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.)
Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links.
Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.
This party has ended, click button below for the links to all who participated.
Thank you Susan, I’m so glad you’re with your family for Mother’s Day!
Thanks, Jenna! This is one of the few times I’ve been able to spend it with my son over the past few years since before college days. It’s wonderful when it works out where I can see him. I hope you have a wonderful day with family tomorrow! Happy Mother’s Day to you!
All of these tables are beautiful, but your Mother’s handiwork is absolutely wonderful! What a treasure! I’ve never seen anything nearly as nice as your set, only a few random pieces here and there. Never a placemat at all! Just looking at these pieces tells a lot about your special Mother
Thanks, Susan! I don’t think I would have had the patience to make all the pieces she made. ♥
I so enjoy seeing your table settings. They brighten my morning. The crocheted set from one of your Mother’s Day table settings is so beautiful. What a wonderful treasure from your Mother. I too fear such wonderful handwork will be or is already lost forever. Thanks for sharing. Happy Mother’s Day.
Thanks, Phyllis! Happy Mother’s Day to you!
Susan – The set of crocheted linens from your mother are so extraordinary, I really enjoy the settings that incorporate these. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day and thank you for continuing to bring beauty into our lives.
Thanks so much! Hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! XXX
Your mother’s crochet is fabulous. So much work. My grandmother was a prolific crocheter. One of the pieces I found is a pillow trim – which says Sleep Well Friend. I had it framed and it hangs in the guest room. Such talents. Happy Mother’s Day. Loving seeing the spring flowers. We are several weeks behind in mid-Michigan.
Oh, I love that! I wish more people still crocheted. It’s becoming a lost art, I fear.
Oh those are all lovely Susan! Looks like you have iris blooming at Mother’s Day too – they’re gorgeous on your tables! Thanks so much for continuing to host this wonderful party, and Happy Mother’s Day to you!
Happy Mother’s Day, Barbara! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! XXX
All the table settings are perfect for a Mother’s Day or any spring party. My favorite is the one with your Mother’s crocheted luncheon set. That’s a nice treasure. Although you won’t be with your Mother, I’m sure your son and grandsons will make this Mother’s Day a special day for you and your dil. Hope you have nice weather and enjoy your weekend.
Thanks so much, Mary! It really is a special set. I hope you are with your children this Mother’s Day. Happy Mother’s Day to you! ♥
All such pretty tables! And your mother’s hand work is stunning! Such delicate work. My grandmother crocheted and also tatted. I have her shuttles and threads and out of her 6 granddaughters, I am the only one that took the time to learn how to tat. As a child, I loved to hear the ticking sound the shuttle made as it moved in and out of the thread. Her hands flew making the lovely lace-like edging that she would sew around white linen hankies. I know the basic stitch and am pleased that I can still remember it after all these years. Happy Mother’s Day this Sunday Susan, so glad you can spend it with your family.
Tatting just amazes me! I had an aunt who tatted and added it to all her pillow cases. It was beautiful! Happy Mother’s Day to you, Cyndi! Hope you have a lovely one! ♥
Thank you so much for hosting! This week I am excited to share some books to read this month, buffalo check decor inspiration, and vintage home style- how to decorate with soda crates! Hope you are staying safe and healthy and having a great day!
Have a great week, Kristin! XXX
Happy Mother’s Day, Susan! Enjoy the day with your family!
Thanks, Maureen! Hope you have a great Mother’s Day! ♥
Susan, all your spring tables are absolutely gorgeous, but the ones with your mom’s beautiful crocheting are truly the sweetest.
Your mom put so much love, detail and care into each piece–and at the time she didn’t know her little Susan would “grow up” to be a (literally) world famous tablescaper!
Your mom was incredibly talented, and her talent was definitely passed on to you. The art of tablescaping was always in your destiny, Susan. I’m sure your mom is smiling down on you from heaven with tremendous love and pride.
Thank you again for another BEAUTIFUL Tablescape Thursday!
Aww, thanks Elena! Appreciate those sweet words so much! ♥ I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day! ♥
Every table setting is lovely. I cannot choose a favorite. All too pretty.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY
