Welcome to the 911th Tablescape Thursday! I am headed back to Georgia tomorrow. I bet the pollen is crazy there! This weekend I’ll be working on cleaning the porches and setting a table for next week’s Tablescape Thursday, hopefully out on the porch. I wonder if the trees have leafed out in the Atlanta area yet? Any metro-Atlantaians reading this post who can tell me how the “Great Pollinating” is going in the Atlanta area right now? I need to steel myself for what I may find! Ha!
St. Patrick’s Day is just 5 days away! If you need a little inspiration for your St. Paddy’s Day celebrations, you’ll find 12 festive St. Patrick’s Day tables linked below. If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

I would postpone cleaning your porch. Still no pollen here. Usually we cannot clean the deck furniture until the end of April. Safe travels back to Georgia.
Thanks for letting me know, Carra. I should stay long enough to get that done. I should probably stay until at least mid-May.
Not any pollen yet. The trees are just beginning to come to life. The Bradford pear trees and red bud trees are blooming and the Japanese cherry trees are just starting to show a few flowers. Just in time for the big rain and wind today. It has been a very cold winter here. Drive safely.
Oh, I can’t wait to see that! We’ve been having crazy wind here, too.
All of these are beautiful table settings. I especially love the big bunch of daffodils in the vase by the swing. There is a little bit of pollen here in Virginia but April will all yellow. Safe travels.
Thanks so much, Mary! Thanks for letting me know. I should probably stay a few months to get through the great pollen season…dreading that! lol
Curious, do you take your kitties with you to Georgia or leave them with your grandsons? Have a safe drive. Toni
Funny you should ask that, because I’m debating that right now. I normally leave them here, but I took the kitties for a brief ride in the back of my SUV today, and they did really well. So I may take them this time. I think they would enjoy the screened porch and they love exploring new places, so I know they would do well once there.
I am south of you. No yellow pollen snow yet but I can smell trees and bushes budding. I think the big freeze slowed things down. It may take me forever to cut back dead bushes.
How could you leave your new best friends behind? Remember gas is going up daily. I think we are finally getting rain. Have a safe trip.
Don’t worry, they are coming with me. They will love the screened porch!
All your St Patrick’s Day tables are so cute and your little leprechaun presides over the tables so well. Hope you have a safe and uneventful journey back down south. Good luck with the pollen when you get there! Thanks so much for hosting, and Happy Drive!
Thanks, Barbara! He makes me laugh. 🙂
I’m so glad you are taking the kitties with you, I think they will love your screened porch. Save travels!
Thanks, Connie! It will be fun to see their reaction. I need to make sure there are no holes in any of the screens before I let them out.
I live about 150 miles east of Atlanta and even though I’ve experienced itchy eyes and sneezing fits in the last 2-3 weeks, I haven’t seen any green tassels or yellow green dust yet. We all know it’s coming though!
Safe travels back home!
Yup, we def know it’s coming. I hsould get home in time to clean the porch and little and get the furniture covered before the pollen hits. (Fingers crossed!)
We live in SC and every flowering tree is starting to bloom. Rain today and no pollen so far.
I can’t wait to see the blooming trees and flowers. It’s been a hard, rainy, gray winter here.
Susan, Please be certain my prayers travel with you as you journey back to Ga.
May you have a pleasant trip as you experience state to state subtle seasonal
changes. Return to us in the north refreshed and inspired for a lovely summer. Stay safe and know you are appreciated.
Thanks so much, Rebecca! Appreciate those kind words and prayer! ♥
I’m in Athens—no pollen yet but it’s just around the corner. It was 85 degrees here yesterday—unbelievable. All this came on so quickly—trees are budding, azaleas, redbuds, daffodils, fruit trees, etc. Bad news is we’re having a couple of nights in the 20’s next week. Peach crop in north Georgia probably won’t make it. Safe travels to you and your furbabies. They’re young and adaptable.
I have always enjoyed your St. Patrick’s Day tables!! It’s nice to be back to share some tables!
Hi Susan! I’m almost certain your trees are leafed out in GA, and the pollinating is in full force, am I right? Our week here started off great, weatherwise, but Mother Nature is taking a turn these past couple of days with some hefty March winds and soon below freezing temps. I’ve got my frost cloths and buckets ready to cover blooming forsythia and peonies coming up. Pansies have done great through snow and ice all winter, and even though daffs are blooming, they’re too scattered to cover. Such is the cycle!
Joining today with a happy spring table. Have a great weekend. I can’t wait to see your new table and chairs in the GA sunroom.
