Welcome to the 846th Tablescape Thursday! I’m currently working on a fun holiday table that I’ll be sharing next week. In the meantime, here are a few ideas that I hope you’ll find helpful as you prepare your holiday table settings and Christmas Decor. (Click the title of any post to access that post in full.)
One of my favorite decorations or centerpieces for a holiday dinner party is a decorative fruit tree.
They are not hard to make if you have the wood form that is the foundation for this centerpiece. This is the cone I was gifted many years ago. I did a search this morning and found quite a few that look very similar here: Colonial Williamsburg Fruit Tree Cone, AND here: Colonial Williamsburg Fruit Tree Cone.
You’ll find a post where I share the details of how I make mine here: Colonial Williamsburg Apple Tree.
See more of this whimsical table setting here: Bringing Home the Tree.
Make an Easy 15-Minute Centerpiece for an Entry Table or Buffet.
Make a Christmas Mice Ornament or Present Topper.
Emergency Substitutions for Common Ingredients.
Beautiful, Inexpensive Way to Wrap Presents.
Don’t Throw Out Those Dead Christmas Tree Lights.
Champagne Punch for Christmas or New Years (Has a different look for New Year’s!).
Cranberry Trifle for Christmas Dessert.
Coconut Cake…YUM! (Includes a recipe for the icing and for Yorkshire Pudding, too).

Looking forward to the beautiful table settings linked below for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!
If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.
What a great post! I have always wanted to make one of those Williamsburg fruit tree things, but even with your instructions, I don’t feel confident enough to do so. I do like the glass cylinder with the oranges and greenery, so I may use that at some point this season.
So Beautiful!!!! The tree is fabulous. I have to try making that centerpiece – how festive! Merry Christmas!!!!!- Jackie
Thanks for how to replace the string light fuse. After Christmas I like to buy string lights for the next year. A new long string I tested after I bought it, isnt working.
Do you have a story about the dining room mirror and the beautiful cake plate ? I was just talking about the fresh coconut cake at Christmas. Back in the dark ages, mom bought a coconut, punched holes where the indentations are with an ice pick to get the milk, then broke it up and our job was to ply the coconut off the bark. Then it was ground up with a crank grinder attached to the table. Fresh it was !
Your grandsons must be so excited grandma lives down the street this year.
A few years ago you posted information about engraved teaspoons. I have misplaced the information and would like to order more. Do you remember who you ordered these from? Thank you.
A few years ago you posted information about engraved teaspoons. I ordered several but have misplaced the information. Do you remember where they were purchased? I would like to get a few more. Thank you.
I’m not sure if the Etsy seller I purchased them from is still doing that. I know she stopped for a while and I’m not sure if she restarted. You can see engraved spoons available from various Etsy sellers here: https://bit.ly/4gqJPad . If I can find her shop again on Etsy, I will let you know. Just be sure to check out the reviews for any Etsy seller you plan to order from, and if you need it by Christmas, double check what they are quoting for delivery.
Thank you
Beautiful ideas! Thanks for hosting and have a Merry Christmas!

Love all these ideas Susan! Thanks for another round of fabulous holiday inspiration, and of course thanks for hosting! Happy Thursday!
I love this post, Susan. It’s very nostalgic for me. I think I remember when you posted most of these. Brings back good memories.
We’re getting so close! I hope you’re feeling on top of things. When we were kids, two weeks away from Christmas still felt like forever .. now we think, only two weeks! How will we get it all done, lol.
